There will be another halo in H2. I think there are 4 halos, one every 25,000 light years, and the Milky Way Galaxy is 100,000 light-years in diameter.

Hedwig gave a thing on this.

There would need to be 13 Halos to effectively wipe out all life within our galaxy, which Halo is in. Also the galaxy is 3 dimensional fastmatt so 4 Halos wouldn't cut it. Please get that straightened out.

That's just in this galaxy. I could have sworn that somewhere it was said that like 100s of Halos existed. Anybody watch Enterprise? I think that rips off this in a way with it's spheres.

Oh, so sorry. But GS said that once others follow suit, all life in galaxy within 25,000 light years will die. So whatever galaxy Halo is in, will kill life in that galaxy.

Yeah that's what I thought. As with everything else too with the new alien Xindi race pack and how they think we will destroy them in some 400 hundred years (which just so happens to be around 2552, lol), adn then they attack us in a way simlar to glassing (well not quite but pretty close) and blah blah blah.

Haha, according to that Daniels guy, Xindi and humans work together in the far future, so all previous films and series go through without any knowledge of the Xindi. How very strange...

Look Halo is in our galaxy. I'm not even going to bother explaining blast radius an dhow many there are to you because you obviosuly don't get the point. Even after tons of explanation to you and many others in other " How many Halo? " threads. read around and pray hedwig shows up with his knowledge.

Man, there's so many things unexplained about Halo, just makes me want to get H2. The forerunners: what are (or were) they? Did they die? How? How many Halos are there? What are the flood? Where did they come from? Where do they reside? Why are they just on Halo?

Perhaps they set off the Halo rings accidentally and destroyed themselves.

The Xindi have something to do with Star Trek. I'm not really a Trekky so I don't know the details.

The Master Chief emerged from his code. After seeing his dynamically lit realtime shadow, he went back for 9 more months of development.

Behold the power of the Originals, the Gods Axeone-Neurone.

Thank you Hikaru for your words. I have made this a word file so I can cut and paste it as needed.

Dimensions of the Milky Way Galaxy:
* 100,000 ly diameter
* 300 ly thickness
* 16,000 ly radius bulge at the galactic center

The Milky way Galaxy can be considered a disk with a spherical bulge at the center.

Placement of Halos:
* 1 at the galactic center for the bulge
* 4 on the x-axis 25,000 ly from the galactic center
* 8 on the x-axis near the edged of the galaxy

4 is not enough to cover the galaxy, the Halos have a circular radius and the bulge would not covered. I have drawn to the placement of the Halos to scale and it takes 13.

Also from my calculations if the Halos are numbered from the center out we are under Halos, 04 and possibly 10 and 11 depending on the orientation of the outer Halos.

Makes sense since the Monitor does say that we were on the 4th installation.
