Sorry to post this about a repeat issue, but here is the deal. I am running Safari and Firefox (have tried both options) on my mac and I am unable to view anyone's service record other than my own or my friends'. Yes I have been to "people finder"...but I still only get a link to their profile. The profile has no direct link to service record of the player.

I am sorry to post this...I have read the complete FAQ and exhausted all attempts to find a thread with the propper instructions.

The only info I have found is that people are frustrated about having to go to people finder to locate someone's service record. The only thing I get in people finder is a link to profile. [repeat..I cannot locate the service record, at all]

Thanks for your help.

It's not your browser type. I believe everyone is experiencing the same thing.

OK, so nobody has access to anyone else's service record other than their own or "friends"? Is this just an issue of the day? Thanks.

I was JUST about to post about this until I saw this thread. Seriously, can no one elaborate a little bit for us in the dark? I can only view my only service record. I can't even find the link in other's profiles for their service record. So what's the deal? I want my friend at a different college to be able to look at my record and gawk, but he can't! Ack! -out

Paranoia is a very comforting state of mind. If you think they're out to get you, it means you think you matter.

Hmmm, it's working for me. Maybe you're not looking right? Wouldn't this be the service record page? Or do you mean by Career Stats and stuff like that?

yes, that's what I'm trying to access...how do we view yours?

Thanks

What are you trying to access, exactly. What I gave you was the service record of some guy on the front page. The links are on the left hand side, so try clicking those [btw, did that link work?]

The link worked.
To find other players' records, just change the entry for the player= section to whatever the name is. Remember to get capitalisation right and replace spaces with + signs.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Another easy method to get there is to go to their B.net profile, then copy their GT from the contact information, and paste that into the Gamertag search at the right.

I tend not to trust any aspect of B.net's search feature.

Not that search feature, the people search. If you copy and paste, it will take you right to their service record every time.

Same search engine, same result when you search for someone with 'Halo' or 'Chief' in their name.

Ahhhh...I see now. I was not actually using the people finder search function. I was using the Bungie.net profile search. It's very misleading...click the link for people finder and you are given a giant field for profile entry and a tiny field for people finder.

Thank you very much for helping me out with this. As an aside, it would be nice if Bungie would swap the placement of the two.
