I'm not so sure how I feel about the split. Yeah, maybe MS pushed a little too hard in the Halo productions, but if there was no push, when would they have been done? They even said in the LE DVD that art, story, engineering wise there could always be more to do. Theoretically, with very little to no pushing at any stage of the games, we could not have seen Halo 3 for another year or two.
And as far as creativity and making games for MS, they have not said they will make MS ONLY games. They could always get creative with the space in a blu-ray and make a game for ps3...
either way, good for them
blue-ray is so unnecessary in this generation. game engines and software dont tae up tha tmuch freakin room, all it does is let them pack in more silly little features that may or may not effect gameplay. and HD-DVD format is perfect for this gen, but i can see blue-ray standard in the next gen, when more space is needed for the uber effects engines and such, just dont see the need for it now.
I beg to differ. RPG's (not that I care) have such robust content that there are games coming for the 360 that will be on three and four disks. I read it somewhere, but I forget that name.
Bungie: Congrats on the independence from MS. Do work.
P.S. Way to not answer my question about what you are planning to do to appese the so-called "vocal minority" of players who are craving for an easier way to play custom games. A couple of smarmy "live with its" from your webmaster aren't what I'm looking for, Frankie. Lots of people are upset about this ... especially because you've been ignoring it like its a non-issue.
