!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok for those of you that went straight to matchmaking instead of playing campaign and haven't beat it it yet, should'nt really care if its spoiled (but if you do then skip this post).
The Legendary ending (After the credits) basically tells you that Master Chief is somewhere in the galaxy floating in half a ship with Cortana. As it zooms out off the ship you see a planet in the background that look to be inhabited as lights reflect of its surface (Kinda like how people on the space station can see cities at night)
My friend tells me that most spartan fear dying alone in space, and that the planet in the background might be the forerunner homeworld, and that if you looked at the Believe websight and saw the videos this indicates that Master won't been found for some decades and everyone "Believes" he's dead.
but I could be wrong bungie has a wierd way of turning around somehow (There are 3 other spartans)
I understood most of that already. No offense, but that seems generally pretty obvious. I would just prefer to understand the significance of this, instead of wildly speculating about it. I mean, it's the Legendary ending - one would assume it means something, at least, semi-significant. Is it a hint at a future project? Is it a connection to the Marathon games? A connection to "Ghosts of Onyx"? Is it just there to leave the door open and give us hope? To the average viewer, the Legendary ending is lame and signifies nothing. I can't find a single person who likes it and thinks it was worthwhile, other than the hardcore Halo fans who, once again, are left wildly speculating. It'd just be nice for us devoted fans of the story to get, at the very least, a hint about what's going on here.
Also, guys, stop whining about your questions not being answered. There were a lot of questions asked and you're no more special than anyone else. Get over it.
