I understand that the sniper is harder to use than it was in Halo 2, but did you change it dramatically from the Beta. I had no problems with it in the Beta, but the final version seems off.
Spot on. We aren't stupid, and we aren't bad at your new game. We realize that there is less auto-aim, and there is recoil to the new sniper. And yeah, we also realize that lag exists in online play. It's the nature of the beast. But this is not lag, and this is not a learning curve. This is a matter of hit detection and I can't believe you guys are shrugging this off or are simply ignorant of it. Everyone who is decent at this game and was decent at previous Halo games is noticing this, and complaining about it. Maybe you're not hearing it all here on the site, but I hear it plenty in matchmaking and from my friends. It's not lag when I snipe somebody in the head and their shields flash and go down. It's not lag when I snipe a nonmoving, nonshielded target in the body and see blood splatter with no resulting death. It's not lack of skill when I have to empty a full clip into somone because two of my shots didn't count and I have to resort to desperate body shots just to finish the kill. It's a glitch. It's a problem. And it needs fixed or a fun game is going to turn into a frustrating one that we stop playing for Team Fortress 2 really fast. Like JROCK420 said, this wasn't a problem in the beta. Something has broken between May 16th and Septemeber 25th.
