Here's a question: What kind of company spends 3 years to release a game that is full of bugs and has LESS features than it's predacessors? Were you busy fixing Halo 1.2, aka Halo 2, with patches?
Here's another: Do you really think that a buggy replay mode and being able to change the weapons on a map was revolutionary and made Halo 3 a completely different and new experience? Is that what you were spending all your time on, trying to figure out how to make a floating camera? Or did you spend all your time trying to figure out how to get the game to rewind, only to fail? miserably.
How bout this: You leave us a cliffhanger ending in Halo 2, promising to end on the series spectacularly in halo 3, and then you spend ALL your time on the CRAP multiplayer. The campaign ended EXACTLY THE SAME AS H:CE! Shoot your way up the pyramid, press a button and then drive through a bunch of flood before the universe explodes. Master Chief beats the entire covenant and eliminates the flood the same way he blew up the first halo. Thanks Bungie, what a creative ending. Did you guys have a contest to see who could write a storyline in 10 minutes or something? You seem to have forgotten that the war in Halo is between the covenant and humanity, not between the covenant and Master Chief. Would have been nice if we had a story that was a little deeper than Master Chief blowing something up, with no surprises and no desire to save humanity, which doesnt even appear in the game. Funny how we never even see the humans we're saving, just a bunch of retarded marines that fight even worse than they did in Halo:CE. And why is it that you had to make the Arbiter invincible to actually be useful? Hell, at least you made the flood a little bit smarter, yet the humans still just stand in the open firing short bursts at the enemies they cant even kill. Guess I'll always have to split my screen up into tiny little bits to have a decent ally.
And whats with the skulls? If I'm going to hunt for something, it better make the game more fun, not make it harder! WTF is wrong with you, you don't make unlockable stuff that makes the game more frustrating. The only skull that actually does give you interesting stuff, is totally unfindable without hacking into the games code. Jumping through unnumbered hoops in order? Thats just cheating. Thats like someone hiding in a room and locking the door while playing hide and seek.
Maybe I'm being a bit too harsh. After all, all the big game reviewers gave halo 3 9s and 10s and every time someone complains, which is often, someone else says "STFU -blam!- halo -blam!- 3 is the -blam!- best game ever -blame!- made -blam!-".No, F.U.C.K. THAT, I shelled out big bucks to get a xbox 360, just so I could play this game, because I thought you guys were going to redeem yourselves after the horrible ending and barely there multiplayer changes you made in halo 2 (-blam!-, you actually took weapons OUT of halo 2).
Instead you give us THE SAME OLD THING, with NOTHING new, It's just halo:CE with new *subpar for a 360* graphics, new weapons, ONE new MP playable vehicle, LESS maps, and crappy matchmaking where the only thing players control is how many people they fight. Even halo:CE had better online play. Halo:CE was good Bungie, but that was 6 years ago, and gameplay has come a long way since then. It's so sad to see that Halo 3 got left behind.
Now I have to find a good game to use this stupid 360 on.
