I am a proud user of correct spelling and grammar.

It is not possible to change your Bungie.net account name.

The only way to do this would be deleting your account (which has it's risks), or by letting the account auto-delete from one year of inactivity.

When I seined up my boyfriend I'm formed me of the 'risks' which is spending about 5-10 $ (don't know exact) to "shuffle paper work". you get to keep all your stats and achievements though, Microsoft's just lazy and doesn't want to do it all the time, but it I think 'flaming mop' is a cool name! I wished they would let me use one at work!

A tosser is the same as a wanker. To toss oneself off is to fondle the trouser weasel.

Wait, wait, wait... are you saying that I can delete my own account, on my own, by my will?

The risks I am talking about are things like possibly deleting your gamertag.

I'm not positive about it, but I've read somewhere that it is a risk.

There is a link to a page where you can mange those kinds of things, once I find it, I'll post it here. But, yes you can delete your account, but you could accidently delete your gamertag in the process.

Because your gamertag may be signed up with the same e-mail address.
There may be other reasons, but that's the only one I can think of right now.

Once your Gamertag is linked to a Windows Live ID, it's set in stone - you cannot unlink it until the Windows Live account is deleted.

If you wanted to link to a new Windows Live ID, and then create a new bungie.net profile, I think that you'd have to delete the Windows Live credentials you're using now, because your Gamertag isn't just tied to your bungie.net profile after you link it to your Live credentials - it's tied to those Windows Live credentials themselves, which is how you access all of the features on sites like Xbox.com. I'm pretty sure that you'd have to delete your Windows Live creds, then manually link your new creds via this page.
