Even IF Bungie didn't have to write new AI code (which is probably a big "if" since Bungie would possibly have to write new AI for Spartan bots and probably have to write some new code for groups of purely Elites operating together rather than in a varied group of Covenant), bots WOULD change the whole dynamic of Halo just like Ckrpoint1 and BlackWLF point out. Simply put, Halo multiplayer wasn't designed for bots, just the enjoyment of player-to-player interaction. Since Halo 2 is an IMPROVEMENT of the best parts of Halo along with some awesome additions that build on the type of gameplay established by Halo, the addition of bots would turn Halo 2 multiplayer into something completely divergent from the gameplay we've all gotten addicted to. No doubt about it, I'm completely happy Bungie has already decided not to include bots in the multiplayer even though it kinda makes any argument I might make here kind of pointless. Oh well, it's fun anyway.
first: you do not have to wright a whole new code, remeber elite avatars dont just go hey look its a grunt hes on my team, they find a specific code telling them if its friend or foe. so no new code needed.
secound: they have not confermed including or discluding bots, get with the program ppl.
third: the gamplay would not diverge AT ALL were talking about the same deal here just rather than ppl we have computers.
fourth: yes halo multi was designed for human play, but this is Halo2 were talking about, not to mention using a NPC inplace of a human player dose realy not have to be designed, its just a matter of the bot having good codeing (which they do).
god some ppl
