Oringinally posted at Gamefaqs, by myself.

This must be a somewhat new thing at IGN, to review reviews that they have made. And, it makes absolutely no sense! I mean, IGN had no prior knowledge of the stroyline? I don't think so. And now they complain and moan about the ending, like they didn't know it already by the time they did original review? I don't think so! This is nothing more than IGN's catering to those that have moaned and complained about HALO 2, who, basically, were upset by the fact they had to play a different character in the game, other than the main character. I remember that MGS series also took this kind of a route, and ended up being loved and hated.

Bungie did the right thing with HALO 2, and the ending was good, and, I may add, it was ended that way, so you are ready to get back into the next installment, all fired up, and ready to kick some a**! Some people just don't get ideas and storylines. I mean, how many people didn't like Pulp Fiction due to the structure of that movie? Yet, anyone who reads literature, knows the way that movie was made, is pretty much how some novels are written. If gamers had more of an open mind to how things not only should be, but could be, in games, then the world of gaming would be in a better condition than it is today. If you dislike HALO 2 due to the storyline, and the ending, then you don't get the point of what it means to be creative and inspiring.

IGN's reviews ultimately, resemble nothing but an opinion that can be changed at the nod of public opinion that sees possibly an overhyped game. I wonder just how many people who complained about the game, actually played through the single player campaign?

I wonder, is it worth Bungie doing a HALO 3? Afterall, they make a great game, give the gaming XBOX public what they want, and more besides, and yet they get shafted by the likes of IGN, for being succesful! Damn, you would have thought IGN was a European based site the way it shoots down the success stories, that in a way, it help create, with its own hype!
