How do we define 'ultimate?'

Think about it

The Scarab Gun; EXTREMELY STRONG, hard to get, but only in one level of campaign.

If you buy a book I won't mention as it is partially modding, it mentions a sequence of skulls with to do with a halo 2 soundtrack.

Evy. Grunt birthday party. Assasins. Thunderstorm. Famine. I would have been your daddy. Blind. Ghost. Black eye. Catch. Sputnik. Iron. Mythic. Angry. Cow Bell. That's just...wrong.

The packaging of the soundtrack contains this acronym

EGATFIBGBCIMAW
The skulls go with their letters, c is probably catch, though I think it could be cowbell too. The 'W' could be 'Wrong' or...

(many skull names) SPutnik, Ice Cream...Whuppopotomus...

So the W could be Whuppopotomus. It could be the first skull that alerts your enemies of your location; but this is the only unnamed skull found to date and wouldn't 'Cowbell' be more efficient?

Which means if the 'Whuppopotomus' skull is found and operated in this order (acronym on packaging)

Envy, Grunt BDAY/ Ghost, Assasin/Angry , Thunderstorm, Famine, IWHBYD/Iron, Blind/Blackeye, Ghost/Grunt BDAY, Blackeye/Blind, Catch/Cowbell, Sputnik, Iron/IWHBYD, Mythic, Angry/Assasin, Whuppopotomus

then maybe something may happen?

Or, seeing as Whuppopotomus comes last, maybe if all the other skulls are activated without turning off the XBox (this deactivates skulls) then it will appear?

But honestly, what would be this 'super easter egg'? I mean, The only easter eggs known are the Scarab Gun, the Skulls, and various pictures and such.

But I can't. My halo 2 disc is scratched off about 3 levels plus I have H3.

EDIT: By what it could be, I mean what could it possibly do to be worthwhile?

I noticed something

there was a shot down by Bungie theory that in the word 'Index' in the back of the Halo 2 guide that you didn't operate envy first because it had 1.

But I noticed in all the word titles there are numbers. I'll write them down.

And they all remain constant. For example, 's' is always 8.

In this case, ultimate is undefined other than it refers to the great unknown.

And I look back on my time spent gaming as an older guy, and I'll tell you what I see. I see myself playing great games of the time, living in the moment to a reasonable degree. Sure, you're a hero saying what the anti-games herd says. Real unique. You're talking to TUE hunters. We're higher caliber than you, so you can take the 'tude elsewhere. Nothing wrong with gaming as a hobby. Getting your ego involved with it is where the problems come, getting your selfishness into the game is a problem. Your efforts to sound better than us are your testament to ignorance. Hasta.

The number theory.. it's interesting, but I'm going to stick to random trickery and skull combos.

Maybe.

But if you have something besides the halo 2 guide or game or find somthing else in them, lemme know some numbers if you can.

But this egg, this tue, it's just...

I don't think it is nonexistant. There are far too many clues all around the Halo guide, the game...

And I'm not saying you're wasting your time. But there is nothing, NOTHING that could bring glory back to halo 2 from halo 3 in any significant amount.

I mean, it would be cool to find the ultimate egg, but what COULD it do? A weapon you could use throughout the campaign? Big deal, as most people have had their fit of the H2 campaign.

I guess the only thing you could use is bragging rights to disbelievers. But then again, they could just say it wasn't 'ultimate'.

Well, good luck in your search anyways.

Greatest of all time

Video games are a complete waste of time, and so is posting on these forums, every moment could be spent doing something infinitely more useful. When we're all 90(those of us that live to see it) you will probably wish you could have every moment you wasted playing games back. You could study more and become a doctor or a lawyer, or hell even one of the guys that get to work on games like this and play them for a living, but fact is we're not. So in a sense it's not really funny that someone would waste part of their life doing something video game related. It's actually kind of ironic, that anyone would come on the forum of a video game and mock someone who ACTUALLY played the game.

i did play the game.....

Perhaps we can't bring some glory to it, but who trades their passions for glory anyway? Not us. Not those of us who still dig around for it.

[*Please note that anything in my posts is likely to be filled with sarcasm, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I tend to help people, usually*]

*Ahem*

If anything, I spent a total of 6/7 months on the idea. Yes, there may very well be TUE in the game (btw, it was named TUE purely because it had a ring to it).
I'm a gamer...and an Egg Hunter...it's in my nature, I'm sorry >_>. Regardless, it's been sifted through repeatedly, and although Halo 3 is out and although I have given up putting the effort in to find it, it does not mean it doesn't exist and is sitting there waiting for someone to come across it. If TUE is anywhere, it'll be in Halo 3. (That's my belief as of now.)

And btw, just because I dedicated myself to somethign does not mean I failed and wasted my life; I gained a hell-load of friends (as you can see by the kind defence), and I've become a better person, and more renowned within the Bungie community because of my antics and searches. So you know, we figured out and discovered a few things on the side on our journey.

What a sad thing to see on my last look on the Halo 2 forums...this Board seriously went to hell.

Rofl yeah. TUE never even existed. It wasn't even found in the games code, but he still thaught it was there.

You want to know what else wasn't found in the games code? Do you really want to know what wasn't found but surely exists? The permanent camo. That's right. Never found the active_cam_cheat_off hex did they? They found an active_cam_cheat_on AFTER it was activated and they reread the hex. Not everything is on the surface dude. Where is the fancy bread, in the heart or in the head?
