The gate is defaulted to be open or closed depending on the gametype. Most objective based gametypes have it defaulted to closed. I don't know much else on this matter, hopefully someone comes along and explains it more thoroughly.

So, I created a siege-style infection game on the map Last Resort and all my friends absolutely love it. I tried to duplicate this success by making a similar map on High Ground but I have a serious problem.

Every time the round starts the main gate starts already opened. This doesn't happen on Last Resort during infection games and it doesn't even happen in the forge on High Ground when I switch the game type over to infection. It only opens when I try to play a real game.

It's kind of hard to stage a siege style game with the main gate wide open, but I have no clue how to even try to fix it as the gate itself doesn't come with any options menu. I've already put about 6 hours into designing and balancing this map, so any advice would be extremely appreciated.

i had the exact same problem i stacked barriers one ontop of the other. they are hard to move with only the sword.

i have some great ideas in a post i made on forge check my posts

Just set up crates in front of High Ground.

I appreciate the replies guys. My problem is that I've used just about all my crates to block other areas and I turned the flag room into a kind of "last stand" style area with most of my barriers. I love my current setup, I just need that gate closed.

And it doesn't make sense that the gate would be closed on one map during infection and opened on another. My gut says it has something to do with respawn modifiers and the designation between attackers and defenders. If I figure anything out I'll be sure to let you guys know.
