Okay, while getting out some hot soup from the microwave, my dog jumped on me and I spilled it all over my hand. I know for sure that I have a first-degree burn on my entire hand. Iv'e tried everything I know of to cool it off (Ice pack, cold water, wet rag) but the burn keeps coming back. Any advice on how to cool it off?
Mind over matter, my boy. If you don't concentrate on the pain, it won't be as bad. If you shut it out of your mind (takes a great amount of mental discipline, but it can be done) it won't hurt anymore.
But, granted, seeing as it's a BURN, the pain in this case is actually something you don't wanna ignore; usually it means tissue is still burning up.
But, as far as actual treatments go, these guys have way better advice than me.
