You're bad...stop playing...I hate noobs and Bungie for loving them.

Get out much?....

No I'm a loser, because you know, I can't be both good at Halo and have a social life.
Jealous much?

Hmm, lets take a quick look at your recent games list, see exactly how social your weekend was...

Friday the 19th: Played from 12:10 in the morning till 10:40 at night.
Saturday the 20th: Played from 2:30 in the morning until 10:40 at night. [4 hours not spent on Halo]
Sunday the 21st: Played from 1:40 in the morning till 10:15 at night. [after a whopping 3 hours of what I'm assuming is sleep][/qoute]

First, those hours are adjusted to Bungies time zone, and second one of those days was spent at a friends house(which believe it or not is social activity) and third when I WASN"T playing halo i was with friends.

It doesn't matter how much time you spend playing, but what you do when you're not playing you ignorant -blam!-.

Regardless of the time zone or where you were [if you even were at a friends house, no way to verify that], you still played Halo for about 62 hours out of the total 72 hours of the weekend.

Also, you said "It doesn't matter how much time you spend playing, but what you do when you're not playing". Are you saying that if I, for example, played Halo for 23 hours and 55 minutes in one day, then picked up the phone and called a friend to talk for 5 minutes, I'm a social person? Besides, you were only off Halo for about 7 hours. There's only so much you can do in that amount of time, and I'm betting you spent most of it sleeping.

Wow you really butchered that quote.

The Chief is never beaten.

This thread failed the moment he said "whose skills are only average. "

WELL GEE, THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED YOUR SKILL LEVEL, ISN'T IT?

Yes, the Halo 3 leveling is a bit bugged up, but if your skill is "only average," then that's where you'll stay.

It's a communicator.
It's for communicating.
Use it when you're playing team objective games, for the love of god!

You know, you got yourself into this mess.

You make a post flaming someone because "They suck" at halo, and you "Hate Noobs". Someone responds, "get out much?" and you try to defend your position insisting that you are great at halo, and have a social life, quipping "Jealous Much?" on top of it.

Guess what, my friend, you got busted. The whole point the first respondant was making is that some of us, actually the overwhelming majority of us, have jobs, girlfriends, kids, or other interests that prevent us from playing halo 24-7, to become the elite killing machine that you claim to be.

You tried to play it off that you're just apparently naturally that good, and still have what amounts to a normal, healthy social life.

Playing HALO3 for all but 7 hours of a weekend is far from having anything resembling a healthy social life, my friend. I'm not judging you; if that's what you what to do with your free time, that's fine. Heck, I think I play HALO3 quite a bit. But when you belittle another for not dedicating their life to mastering HALO3, and then try to tell us that you have a social life while taunting "Jealous much?".... You get what your deserve.

By the way.. No, NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE is jealous of your weekends.

My website will be updated, soon hopefully. Check back, it will be sick.

I got my 37 really easily. I am an average player usually (though sometimes I do great and others horrible, depends on the day).

It's really not that hard until you hit around lvl 46. I am currently 50 but it was a little bit difficult to get from a 49 to a 50. Once I got my 49 this is what went down.
win 1 - +1
lose 1- 0 (I lose my 49)
win 1 - +1 (Get 49 Back)
Tie 1 - ? (Lose 49?)
Win 10 in a row- +10 (finally get 49 Back)
Lose 1
Win 11 in a row for a 50.

At lvl 12 I flew through the levels. If you are having a lot of trouble try playing with a team, or maybe play social games until you get decent.

It seems that it is rather difficult once you reach level 45, but before that it is not that hard to rank up, spare the strange winning streak that yields hardly any levels. I'm a 48 right now by the way.

I heard someone say once (paraphrasing here) "Multiflag on Blood Gulch with your friends is what makes Halo, Halo." I GUARANTEE that more people agree with that sentiment than "Getting a 50 in MLG is what makes Halo, Halo." - Oboewan42

Ever tried thinking outside the box when getting kills/flags etc? Doesn't that earn you extra points?

When I got the game most of my kills were different from the kill before it and i skipped private, went to corporal grade 2, then skipped to sergeant grade 2

Two things:

1st: In Halo 2, I could never get above level 23 on any account all because it was totally RIFE with cheaters/modders/laggers - every other game was one. If Halo 3 seems easier to level up in, maybe it might just be because this is nearly eliminated, and in NO WAY can it be compared to the 'noob-50-level-cheating-wannabees' of Halo 2. SO, you might've been better in Halo 2 had those people not got away with it for the duration it existed.

2nd: To the chap who posted this thread, ignore the idiots say "noob" or "poor player", one important thing to do is party up with players. Maybe even a full team of 8-10 players. Get good players on your friends list and learn the maps, weapons & strategies in custom gamestyles and THEN when you feel you've "upgraded" yourself go into match making playlists - this is not meant to be offensive, but good advice to you. Learn what weapons do, how to counter them, which piece of equipment to use etc etc. Learn these in custom games AGAINST people who already know how to use them. I'll bet that if you do, you will learn, and it will take you a few games to break you're level, but once that monkey is off you're back, you'll start to level quickly. This game is NOT halo 2. Approach it from a different angle.

Hey, good luck bud, and don't get stressed out and put ya' blood pressure up. Play some custom with good people, and tell them NOT to be mercyful!!!

Hang in there, Jim
