I was thinking... I log into my service record DAILY. I'm always visiting all my friends service records on here as well so..... why not have an option to leave comments, links, screenshots, on their service records!? Like a blog feature? Maybe even a bulletin? Any input??

I work here: Sound Devices, LLC. We make bad-ass field audio gear, and you think that's awesome. My messy desk (With work-related items on the computer screen).

One does not simply grenade jump into Mordor...

I didn't vote yes or no. I think it would be a waste of bandwidth to put anything on there besides a simple, blog-like deal. The ability to upload screenshots and videos from Halo 3 suffices fine for personal media content, since the page is (After all) dedicated to Halo 3. I wouldn't use any sort of blog feature, but I wouldn't care if other's wanted to.

Well the PM feature is fine, but what I meant was something more like a HALO-esque blog... something that makes the service record like a place for public "post it notes".

If that is what is being described and proposed (I wasn't certain, so I asked), then I would not be in favor.

As things stand right now, I would perfer stability, reliability, and performance over any additional features. This site has had far worse performance and stability issues in the past (remember the 5 minutes to see new posts?) and anything that might contribute to such a problem should be (IMO) approached very cautiously.

Before we were to get any more personal "look at me!" stuff, I would be more interested in some core (or previously discussed) features becoming more robust.

* Expansion and refinement of the search feature.
* Making some forums (The Classifieds and the Community Files) "original post only" but far more searchable and in some cases, indexed by criteria other than replies (such as number of unique downloads to 360s, or number of games played of that variant/map)
* Restricting creation and reply abilities in Optimatch to those members who have linked XBL-Gold accounts.
* The "Report Rule Violation" button for members to report bad threads or misbehaving members to a Moderator work-queue.
* A small sample of how the "Trust System" is working and perhaps a demonstration of how it can be used for recognition and rewards.

Totally understandable. Bungie should definatly fix the niks in the system first before implenting new ideas. I have noticed a lot of bugs in the service record like missing stats and other bugs but I was just thinking way in the future I guess. The service record page is a great feature with great potential.
