Will the flood be back in Halo2, Because if i remember right theres a Black seargent "not to be racist" that was in halo when they first found the flood with the capitan, and he had this deiseas witch basically makes him invincible to the flood infectius forms and he servived halo, and in the book First Strike he was on the pelican with marines that met up with the MC, after they had the covy ship in there possetion they found out that the seargent had flood DNA in him, so my question is will the humans clone the flood or what?

First off, *spoiler*, yes the flood are returning i believe. I do not know that for sure though.

It said in the EGM Halo 2 preview about a year ago that there's a 99% chance of the flood returning. Since it's been pretty much confirmed that we visit another Halo/es in the game, it makes sense that the flood will make a comeback.

Well, I don't think Sarge's flood resistance will be remembered in Halo 2. I myself found it funny that after seeming to die so many times in Halo, Bungie has Sarge get a flood resistant disease and escape Halo. Whether they meant it to be funny or not- I have no idea.

bah

I think that they actually had him die in Halo, and then decided he was too popular and too badass to die. So they made up that thing about cancer to have him live. It was a good choice.

Sgt. Avery Johnson is somewhat of a wonder: Bungie feels comelled to keep him alive throughout the storyline no matter what because he's just WAY TOO BADASS. Throughout the Campaign on H1, the end vid to Legendary success on The Maw, and in Halo: First Strike. It's a fact that the Sarge will NEVER die. Just like the Chief.

Also, On what this post was originally based, What if that specific Halo Construct ( #04 i think it was ) was built to study/contain/destroy the Flood? What if the other constructs were built for other pruposes? they can't ALL be for the Flood - sure, their purest function was the eradication of all sentient life in the galaxy, but...what if there's more to the Halo structures? Why build so much, so many times over, with such skill and grace, merely to DESTROY it all?...desperate measures for containing the Flood, don't you think so?

There just HAs to be more to them. Maybe we'll get to see more, since there has been mention of another construct in H2.

I'm not QUITE sure where i'm going wik this, but...i just like to believe the Flood are gone. Been toasted once too many by wave after wave of those damn "zits."

Well the Flood is coming back, and i cant wait to see them with the new graphics engine. Since the enviroments are destructible, maybe you will be able to blow flood forms in half this time around.

I don't see why there should be more to the Haloes than the flood. After all, they are designed to wipe out all sentient life in the galaxy in the event of a flood outbreak.

There is no doubt that the flood will be in Halo 2. I'm sorry. At first, I didn't like the flood either, but they seem to grow on you. :) 343 GS and Two Betrayals are in my top three levels (T&R is the other one, in no particular order).
