Beewaxers, haven't you heard? There is no Recon perm. Or flaming heads, for that matter.

Maybe you should watch some Bungie humpdays smart one.

The only reason I was pissed at Recon was because of the little respect he showed me when I wasn't disrespecting him to begin with. I asked a simple question and he jumped on me about being in the wrong section, instead of moving it to the right one, which is possible, I hear. I just think I would have handled it more like a gentleman, and offered him a nice cup of tea, or even a strawberry-glazed strumpet.

Dianna Agron is the epitome of perfection.

Quinntology.

Bungie is probably the most dedicated to it's community as any other developer. Nobody else treats their fans quite like Bungie does. I mean, come on, they even left us a few spaces at the end of the credits to the greatest game of all time (Haha, not being biased at all.) Has Bungie ever let you down? Err, forget that question. Has Bungie ever dissapointed you in any of their games or any of their content? No. They are some of the greatest guys in the video game buisness, talent and personality wise.

As for the moderators, they are just awesome video game loving guys like the rest of us and try to treat everyone the same. 'Cept for those dumb asses who make stupid statements and ignore the rules. Nobody likes them.

I still question how:

This is not a support site. It is (look around) a fan community site.
is offensive.

Don't jump my jock, by the way... I wasn't saying that was offensive. I was making the point that this is a "fan community site". I hate it when moderators, or anyone for that matter, treat people with very little respect, even if they are new and ignorant. In my original question, I was looking for an answer from a moderator or Bungie employee (not this thread... another one). The tone of the answer I got really wasn't what I expected. I would have responded like that to anyone, it just happened to be a moderator that made the comment a few minutes after I read the Weekly Update.

You talk as if you've earned anyone's respect.

Just because your new here doesn't mean people will respect you, just like in life respect needs to be earned, not given away like Shishka's mom.

You are affiliated with the company as a moderator, even if you aren't a Bungie employee. I see forum moderator and I think Bungie. That's the way it goes. I just think anyone affliated with Bungie should show fans respect on the Bungie website, regardless.

I would have called anyone out on what was said. The fact that he is a moderator was a detail supporting my original argument. And as for the comments from recent posters that I have not "earned" respect, I didn't do anything prior to what you all haven't read in the other post to not earn respect. As a matter of fact, rather than complaining about Bungie's great game, I have created thread complimenting the game trying to gain support, and threads getting custom gamers together rather than complaining there is no custom game match. You need some lessons in human decency if you truly believe what you write about me not earning respect. It's a point of principal, and shows a lack of character from anyone to come out and be rude to anyone. I have called others (not moderators) on it before from other posts, on here and Yahoo! Answers.

You say "civil", one of the definitions of which is "adhering to the norms of polite social intercourse; not deficient in common courtesy". There was nothing polite in the way the question was handled. Of course I know by civil you mean "fair", but civility by my definition is not too far off.

However, agree to disagree. I respect him as a poster, and I respect the moderators for what they do. Without them, the forum would be a mess. Again, I would have called anyone out on it.

Back when I was a moderator I attempted to be as nice as possible at all times. Many times I had to bite my tongue so as to not flame (which I did do a little prior to becoming a mod, but not all that often). I felt as though I had to be a "role model" for the members of the community by not flaming people for doing stupid things.

But one of the great aspects of this community is ball busting. We are all "friends" here, and who doesn't like pointing and laughing at friends when they do something stupid?

Bungie.net is not a place to have tons of happiness, it is not a place to go if you have low self-esteem (not saying you do) because most likely you will get flamed for your ideas by the community, and also the moderators will laugh at you just because they can. You have no rights on Bungie.net, you have given your soul to it's ninjas and staff members. Nobody cares about your complaints, I'm sorry to be mean, but it is the tru7h.

Like I said, Bungie is unique in the aspect of it's community, since you are new, you do not fully understand. Once again, you have no rights. They can do whatever they want.

I'm glad you didn't post my post history.

But you have to realise - you have no rights...

I respect those who deserve it, it's hardly my fault that incorporates only a tiny amount of members. I'm not lowering my standards for a community that has proven, time and time again, that it is not trustworthy, let alone respectful, as a single entity.

Edit; Sorry, was on the file-share account, not the regular account >:|

DMB threatened to blacklist me once...and it made me more respectful of them at the same time. Pretty unique thing there. The mods are not Bungie. Nor do they pretend to be. I personally like Bungie. I've never had any issues with them and I've been around for a long time. I don't expect them to sugar-coat things for me, and I treat them likewise. I don't expect any favors because I'm use an user on their forums, although I've met a lot of cool people here too.

If you really are being offended so much, maybe you need to take a lot at being more "thick-skinned".

I think we all need to realise that most of the time, they are just trying to get a point across. Tell me, how many of you would listen if Recon said "Would you please not spam? Please? It's against the rules, and I might have to give you a warning next time"

And how many people listen when Recon says "Do this again and your banned"

And sometimes, they are just being sarcastic, which people need to realise. One of Recon's greatest moments is in my sig, and he was joking... I think.

And you don't get respect for doing nothing.

You don't start with 100% respect and lose it, you start with 0% and have to earn it.

Sorry no freebie here.

You say tomato; I say potato.

All of the mods are painfully stuffed with love, happiness, and snacks the moment they join. That is probably not true, but it sure conjures a great mental image.
