Respect is earned, not given. They are required to be civil, not respectful. There is a difference.

You are affiliated with the company as a moderator, even if you aren't a Bungie employee. I see forum moderator and I think Bungie. That's the way it goes. I just think anyone affliated with Bungie should show fans respect on the Bungie website, regardless.
I would have called anyone out on what was said. The fact that he is a moderator was a detail supporting my original argument. And as for the comments from recent posters that I have not "earned" respect, I didn't do anything prior to what you all haven't read in the other post to not earn respect. As a matter of fact, rather than complaining about Bungie's great game, I have created thread complimenting the game trying to gain support, and threads getting custom gamers together rather than complaining there is no custom game match. You need some lessons in human decency if you truly believe what you write about me not earning respect. It's a point of principal, and shows a lack of character from anyone to come out and be rude to anyone. I have called others (not moderators) on it before from other posts, on here and Yahoo! Answers.
You say "civil", one of the definitions of which is "adhering to the norms of polite social intercourse; not deficient in common courtesy". There was nothing polite in the way the question was handled. Of course I know by civil you mean "fair", but civility by my definition is not too far off.
However, agree to disagree. I respect him as a poster, and I respect the moderators for what they do. Without them, the forum would be a mess. Again, I would have called anyone out on it.
