4. As long as general members can poke back at moderators without fear of being banned, the forum rules are equal.

Does pokin' Recon's mom count?

Big movie or indy-film? :-P

And by the way, I've written two indies and co-wrote 1 full length feature film. " :-P "

Now you got me curious.

Recon is over 40, I don't think you want to be "poking" Recon's mom.

I'm glad you didn't post my post history.

But you have to realise - you have no rights...

I respect those who deserve it, it's hardly my fault that incorporates only a tiny amount of members. I'm not lowering my standards for a community that has proven, time and time again, that it is not trustworthy, let alone respectful, as a single entity.

Edit; Sorry, was on the file-share account, not the regular account >:|

way2fail loser.

Aku, this account has been banned before actually. Ohhhh boy was it banned alright....

I've been a part of this community for over 3 years now, and I feel as though I've barely gained any respect. Hardly anyone knows me here, yet I've been active for those 3 years here. Do I think I deserve respect? No. What have I done to prove that I should receive respect? Nothing. Sure, i've been a loyal fan, but that doesn't mean I should receive special treatment or whatever simply because I have been.

Just because you think you deserve respect, doesn't mean you should receive it.

Who in the hell are you and what kind of name is dwardo? Sounds like Greedo's long lost brother.

In case you were wondering, Han shot first!

=)

*yells in high-pitched girly voice*
I hate you!

Han did shoot first, but Lucas says otherwise (at least in later remakes).

Respect isn't given, its earned. Too many "members" act in a way that does not deserve "respect". Also, I've worked with people in the gaming industry for several years now and know to well how some people can be so stupid. Redundant questions that seem to recycle themselves because individuals don't accept the answer given. Actually, thats close to the definition of insanity. Asking the same question over and over but expecting a different result.

Bungie can be a little abrasive, but hey, so can I. I'm all for "telling it like it is".

Can the same be said about the same answer being given over, and over again?

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

I just wonder what people would be saying if all the mods operated by WWSD*? I think my hate mail and threads like these would be through the roof.

Don't jump my jock, by the way... I wasn't saying that was offensive. I was making the point that this is a "fan community site".

Ah, ok. I thought that might've been what you meant, but I wasn't sure.. Thanks for clearing that up. ;)

Still, I'd really go with the comment on how most of Recon's 'offensive' posts are just the sad truth. It's funny to most of us, but occasionally someone really is annoyed by it. You must also remember, if it's a fan community site, Bungie can be much more 'silly' about things, in some ways. If this site was here to sell the game, and the forum moderators treated you like that, I suppose that would be bad, but most of us know eachother here pretty well, and newcomers just need to adjust.

Even 2 months is a short time to really understand this community, how we work (and play), what a true 'your mom' joke is, and why everyone keeps whispering about the Webmaster.

No, because the answers are dictated by the people who make the rules. Like Achronos always says, this is not a democracy. Just because you (or anyone else for that matter) deems something unfair is irrelevant. Rising up against something or someone that you felt you were slighted by is fine, but you're not going to like the outcome any better. Because again, the answers remain the same.

I was just poking fun at the fact that I made my final statement on the matter and said it had been resolved. Actually, on my last post on page three, I made a comment about people not reading all of the posts after the first one. The issue had been resolved, and his answer given by everyone before him. So his answer was repetitive, like my original question, hence the joke. Doesn't matter now though, "water under the bridge".

Your respect level for B.net is based on the tards you blacklist? That's like saying your impression of art is based on velvet Elvis paintings. I'd think your respect level for B.net would be based on the good the site has to offer, not the bad.

If you doubt your ability to respect the very site you moderate, why are you here?

This is the post I've been trying to make the whole time. I don't think the moderators are a-holes. After being on here for a couple days, I've learned to respect them. I now see this place's inner workings, that's what she said. It's just a bunch of like-minded people enjoying each other's glorious company. It's a cool place. I guess a few blacklisted people spoil it for everyone sometimes, though.

Because it comes and it goes. Sometimes you encounter a long run of idiocy in the forums and you're banging your head on your desk to distract yourself from the pain... but then you see something amazing in the forums and the pain goes away. And Bungie's great for drawing that "amazing" out into the open from their fan-base, so you hang around and try to keep the idiocy from swamping the amazing.

Because many of us remember a time when we did highly respect the community and loved it. I still do sometimes, but much of the time I just comfort myself with knowing there are still people worth talking to in here.

It's sort of a desire to make the place as habitable as I remember it was when I was new. Of course that's my stupid nostalgia and almost folklore-ish belief that B.net was a utopia a few years ago.
I, rationally, doubt it was. It was probably just as bad. But I remember it being awesome, which is why I remain in this position, it's the only thing I can do to try and make this place as good as my memory of it is.

I want to help this place, even though my idea of help is completely in vain.

Edit; this has gone on long enough, it's become one of those threads we are all too familiar with in The Septagon. Locked.
