Bungie has mentioned you will be able to shoot out lights in Halo 2 for stealthy situations,
well did you notice on the zanzibar overview movie of the level where the camera goes past that swinging light, well did it look like a light bulb to you, because if it is then Bungie doesn't know the future. Ok here's what I mean, light bulbs use tungsten, and we're running out of tungsten, we will start using flourescent lights in a matter of years and light bulbs will soon be in museums, and Halo 2 is based in 2552, kinda weird huh? Plus the lights in the asault rifle and shotgun, aren't those light bulbs, well I just hope you see where I'm getting at. Here's an example; Jarassic Park, dinosaures were extinct over a million years ago while they seem to be alive in modern days according to Jarassic Park. Well I just thought I'd let you know, hope Halo 2 gets a bit more realistic than this.

Are you serious.

1- Who cares.

2- You're trying to tell me the only substitute for "tungsten" is flourescent lights? You don't think in more than five-hundred years, they will have; A. found a new source or B. found a replacement?

I'm going to rest easy knowing this is what has become of our pre-Halo 2 jitters/concerns.

I think the main purpose of shooting out lights is tactical, and it adds to the interactivity of Halo 2, in that you can move or damage most things.

While I respect your opinion regarding the future, that's really all it is; speculation. The fact of the matter is no one can truly predict the future. I can't believe I've resorted to arguing over the concept of future and light bulbs.

What kind of -blam!- nerd would point something out as minute and useless as 'The type of light bulb' theyre using?

first of all, do you jerk off to that vid? you obviously watch it 500 times a day.

second of all, come here so I can stuff you in a locker for a couple days pointdexter.

Listen ace, I'm gonna be real with ya (Btw I like the day you joined the forums, a very smokey, fuzzy day for me) anyways..People aren't going to agree with you unless A. It closely relates to Halo 1. or B. It closely relates to anything confirmed for Halo 2. Basicly that's saying that while you argue that lightbulbs won't exist in the future of a video game some other jackass could be arguing that windows, or even guns don't even exist in the future. It's all very ridiculous to argue since bungie specifically designs everything we interact with.
