you are nothing but a double shoting, bxring, sniper horing MLG wannabee, and there was nothing special in that montage gameplay wise (some good editing though)

and WAY to many forums and sites in the begining

There was a man from Allentown who fed his son to death.
He calmly watched him gorge himself until his final breath.
And there he stood, surprised and shocked above his tiny frame.
He said: "I bear no blame for this. I only share his name!"

Hmm. You're not very good, are you?

I'm probably a lot better then you 'Sharpest'. Prove me wrong, but the fact that you said that is basically admitting your terrible at this game.

And in my opinion, MLG is what balances this game. I respect non-MLG players opinions, however to say that Bungie's matchmaking gametypes are fair and balanced is a joke. If you want a game based on skill, and not on dual wielding/weapon whoring/hosting...

Play MLG.

But I'm not here to flame. If you didn't enjoy it, meh, that's fine. Thanks for watching

oh yes, lets remove everything thats not a br and call it balanced and yell NOOBSAUSE!! at any player who touches anything but a br, and call it a professional sport and call ourselves professional athletes. oh and also lets be complete -blam!-gy scumbags on xbl, that will be good too.

yea! MLG ROCKS!

and about matchmaking not being balanced, bungie staff are professionals who worked for years to make the game balanced.; you are a 12 year old in forge. matchmaking is waaay more balanced than any "MLG 1337zorz even map" that you dream up.

so go away

How can you say I suck for saying you suck when you did the exact same thing to me? You're right though. You sink low enough to button combo and only use BR. You gave up having fun in the attempt to become pro. I play for fun, in my free time. I enjoy playing swords and rockets and stupid games like hide and seek. I don't think those are MLG, skill gametypes, but I don't care. I think they are fun. You must be better than me. You said so, so it must be true. In your video I saw many times you just cleaned up some people who had no shields for a barely decent multi-kill. Even if you are better than me, you're still an MLG wannabe who will get his ass kicked in Halo 3 without your button combos and auto-aim. I doubt you are though, so it doesn't really matter.

The reason most players are turned off by MLG gametypes is in short, they require more skill. MLG gametypes have shotguns, snipers, swords, carbines, rockets, and in some cases plasma pistols. What guns do you miss? I'm going to go out on a whim and say dual-wields. HALO 2 is great when anyone can kill anybody without the slightest need for skill.

What are you being right now? A non-scumbag? I'd rather play with MLG players then the average matchmaking moron anyday.

I am actually 18, matchmaking is a joke (hence why all of these forums are filled with threads complaining about it), and the reason that MLG has grown to a user-base of more then a million members in just a few short years. People are looking for something more from this game then levels, repetitive gametypes, and skill-less playlists. They want to compete in a balanced, skilled, and exciting league. That's what MLG is.

Even Bungie can't deny the influence MLG has had on the HALO community. Hence the creation of the Team Hardcore playlist, and the recognition of MLG in the credits.

Next time I'll fill my montage with sword kills, dual wields, and sticks across map. God forbid we show skill portraying an accurate br and sniper rifle.

P.S. I have no problem with people who enjoy matchmaking, it's just not my thing. I can critisize it just as easily as anyone here can critisize MLG.

Please just critique the montage. We can argue about who's right on this issue all day and get nowhere.

Actually I'm better at HALO 3. Probably better then anyone that has flamed me so far. I don't judge skill by matchmaking, but so that I can communicate in your guys' language - I got a 46 in two days. And don't tell me everyone did that, because that's not true.

Maybe MLG is not your thing - that's fine, whatever. But I didn't come in here bashing matchmaking. You guys have once again shown that you are as much apart of the problem as MLG players.

As much as the problem? I started by saying I was not impressed by your montage. In a less than nice way, but still. I said nothing about MLG until you randomly started flaming me. I base my opinions on MLG from everyone in it I've met and everytime I've played it. They weren't good, just button combo users. I never found MLG fun. Competetive? Sure, but not fun. Also, in gametypes where those "no skill" weapons are used, you can use the same weapons, and if you are so amazing you should be able to kill the other person, with those no skill weapons or your "uber crazy MLG maxorz skillz" or whatever the young people are saying these days.

The problem is you MLG people thinking you are better than everyone who doesn't play MLG.

The MLG-AntiMLG argument is tired. At the end of the day, nobody's mind is changing. Personally, I play Halo for fun. I don't play competitively, but I won't bash those who do. IMO it's a watered down version of a fun game Bungie made. To the MLG folk, it's a more balanced competitive-based version of a great game.

Both MLG and AntiMLG "groups" have their jerks, as evidenced with you guys saying he sucks and he's a wannabe, etc. I'm sure this guy knows that there are tons of people that are "MLG Pros" on Xbox live that are just whiny brats who think they're something special. He didn't come into the thread with that attitude.

So you've been to Dallas, eh? How did you like it? :)

Edit: Also, I was impressed with the editing (though at sometimes I felt that you put too much into it - don't be too flashy with your Halo 3 montages). The kills were very normal for the typical MLG player's montage. I liked the music selection. Overall it's one of the better montages I've seen and certainly the longest.

Edit Number 2: For future reference: when someone flames you, it's best just to ignore them.

Haha, I moderate 2 forums with 100,000+ members. I am used to being flamed ;)

I used to live in Dallas, so I loved it. One of my favorite places in the world. I'm actually going to the Cowboys game on Thanksgiving.

And thanks for watching my tage :)

That's cool. I used to live near Dallas (Waxahachie). I'd love to watch the 'boys play on Thanksgiving but I don't think I'm leaving College Station over Thanksgiving break. I am going to watch the A&M vs Texas game, though. :)

LOL, I remember you posted this on mlgpro.com and you got like 1.5 outta 5 for like 100 votes. This is god awful considering you recorded for 2 years. OMG you got a killtac in MLG FFA!!! That's amazing, we haven't seen that like a million times. It's pretty sad when you can't even get respect on bungie.net.

it's funny because I am probably better then any of the people that have flamed me so far.

and I'm not simply talking about halo. If you have to bash someone on a forum to make yourself feel better, you're pathetic - both in the game, and in real life.

Back up your smack talk. Show me something better that you made, or play me. Don't hide behind your computer screen though

Achievements are like...

Ignoring the button combos and Sweep sniping, it's an average montage. Just my opinion, though.

Sweep sniping worked ;)

Button combos are a matter of opinion. Most montages have them.

Thanks for watching though

You've done most of the bashing and you know it. You say to back up your smack talk and you're continuously saying with no proof that you're better than all the people that flame you. Don't call poeple pathetic after one thing that they say.

first off button combos are cheating, as bungie has previously stated

and second of all, if matchmaking takes no skill, then why arent you a level 50 in everything?

If you're like me, you guys have made the jump from HALO 2 to HALO 3. However, this montage is my tribute to HALO 2. I spent almost two years playing this game competitively. It really was an amazing experience in my life. Over this time I was able to travel to Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, and Omaha competing in various tournaments. Some had as many as 10,000 people attending. Others simply a few hundred. However, I can honestly say I made some money doing this. I made about $500 in cash prizes over this time at 'locals', and was the grand prize winner of a $3000 stereo system back in July. I was also sponsored to go to tournaments in Kansas City and Dallas. In the end it really paid off. I had a great experience, and loved every minute of it. And it's all thanks to HALO.

Now, back to the montage. I know there are hundreds of montages out there. However, I spent about 6 months capturing these clips, and my friend spent another month or so editing it. The editor worked his butt off on this and I really want people to see his work. So if you have a free five minutes, check this vid out, and please let me know what you think. You can download or just watch in your browser.

If all goes well we will be back with an even better HALO 3 montage.

So thanks and enjoy! Oh and please comment ;)

Note to mods - if this in the wrong section, please just move it :)
