Could you elaborate on "link cheat thingy", as it'd give me more ground to provide you with assistance.

Maybe he is talking about the Bungie.net logo? I don't know...

It doesn't sound like it. The only general "trick" I know of was in the old column, by changing seventhcolumn.bungie.net/chapterlinks to www.bungie.net/chapterlinks, you could create a link that worked in the same window --

But this user wasn't around for that, and I've not heard of any new tricks, or indeed, think of where one could be used, in the new Column.

the "thingy" on the right when your writing a post called "text markup tags".by the way psyched, how do you reply so quick?

Huh? I think the 'thingy' you are refering to, are only there for your confenience, to show you how you can make up your text in your post.

Ah. You simply replace the http://link with the link to whatever you want, and the text with the display text. So, to create a link to your chapter (which I presume you want to do), you would use:

[ url=http://www.bungie.net/fanclub/24509/Group/GroupHome.aspx ] The 7th Column Help [ /url ]

But without spaces in, else the link will not work.

To answer your second question: When I'm online I check for new replies between IM conversations, and I can as good as touch type.

Allright, just post your URL here (without any tags) and I'll try to help you how to get it working.

You're obviously doing something wrong. Follow the base model for link (named).

Look at this:

Mark up

Copy the text exactly like it is on that page and paste it in a test forum post..

You have to copy the tag, and then just replace the text and http://link with what you require. Change nothing else.

[ url=http://link ] text [ /url ]

=

[ url=http://www.bungie.net ] Bnet [ /url ]

Just don't put spaces in.
