This is my version of Homerun derby that my friends and I love to play. I used the middle layer of Sandbox strictly because of the high ceiling limit. My stadium was built to resemble Fenway Park's shorter distance but tall left field wall and a farther away but shorter right field wall. With that all said, lets get to the rules.
Basically you have one batter at the grav lift(home plate) with grav hammer ready and pitcher is on a mongoose(the baseball).
The pitcher will then drive the mongoose towards home plate and once he hits the grav lift the batter will aim, swing, and attempt to hit him over the wall.
The pitcher gets the choose whether the pitch will be a fastball, change-up, curveball, or slider.
Fastball- pedal to the floor and gun it towards the grav lift
Change up-same as fastball but hit the brakes right before you hit home plate
Slider-basically this is the same motion as a fastball but with a gradual angle
Curveball-again the same motion as a fastball but with a turn right as you hit home plate
Now, depending on the pitch the batter will have to adjust his aim in order to hit a homerun. I will let you guys figure it out, but I will tell you that if you jump with the Change up the success rate goes way up on your chances of hitting a homerun. If you manage to crank a full speed fastball then those babies will get some distance, I hit one out into the laser fields beyond right field wall once.
Now if you are not pitching there are other jobs you can take.
Pyrotechnician- responsible for the timely detonation of the fireworks after a homerun is hit
Outfielder-You have to be on the ground and what you try to do is try to shoot down any homeruns with the rocket launcher(I have yet to see someone rob a homerun like this, but I have robbed a foul ball)
Food and Beverage Engineer- Get your hair net out and man that concession stand!
We like to play 3 rounds and in each round you get 7 outs. Anything that is hit and is not a homerun is considered an out. After 3 rounds the person with the highest amount is considered the weiner. We also swap out pitching, pyro, and outfield duties.
I hope you guys and gals enjoy this map because I did put a lot of time into building it and testing it to make it work. I wasn't going to post it at first , but I thought that the community would really enjoy this because we always have a blast playing and competing for the homerun title.
Thanks go out to ROC x CITY, SiK x bullet x, Mr Scrizzle, and Xavier Soul for their help with the testing and balancing.
