Anomaly - a Sandbox variant for Slayer, Capture the Flag, Assault, King of the Hill and Infection gametypes. Screenshots found on the File Details page.
This new map is quite possibly the best I've ever made. I'm definitely excited to share it. Screenshots can be found on the File Details page, located here.
Anomaly - a Sandbox variant
A mysterious energy of unknown origins dictates the landscape of these long-forgotten ruins. 4-12 players
Anomaly is a symmetrical map containing identical, mid-sized bases at each end. Each base is itself symmetrical, and contains an entry room with three entrances, a roofless main flag room, and two side hallways. Each base contains two Battle Rifles, a Shotgun and plasma grenades. Flanking either side of both bases are elevated turrets protected by defensible structures.
At the center of the map lies a relic which houses a kill ball representing the anomaly after which the map is named. The kill ball has been elevated low enough that it remains a trademark feature of the map, yet high enough that it will not interfere during the normal course of play (i.e., you cannot jump into the kill ball unless extenuating factors are involved). The center region of the map contains four floating towers, two of which contain Snipers and two contain Rocket Launchers. There are also two Grav Lift power-ups located in the center region, which can be used to provide an alternative means of entrance (or exit) when infiltrating an opponent's base.
Broken columns littering the inside and outside of the map provide essential cover, while open areas in-between allow for mid- to long-range combat. Battle Rifles, Assault Rifles, frag grenades and plasma grenades have been placed throughout the map to provide a balanced means of ammo replenishment. Some fusion cores also lay about in a balanced fashion to provide an alternative means of damage.
This map is ideal for Slayer, Capture the Flag, Assault, Territories, King of the Hill and Infection variants.
