Like every other poor schmuck on here, as soon as I saw the forge, I had to make a D-Day map. While working on it, I realized there were hundreds of others out there and gave up. However, after playing some of them, I was really disappointed and knew I had to finish my map. You won't find every weapon laying around everywhere and a bunch of crap scattered around the map randomly. Everything is thought out and placed accordingly. Teams start out with pistols so that the Germans have to depend on the turrets and mines, and Allies don't just sit in the water and shoot from there all day. The Allies have to keep advancing to acquire other weapons and complete their objectives. To win the game, the Allies must reach the one territory behind the wall. Best played with 6 Germans vs 6-10 Allies.
Game Changes:
-Start out with pistol (no grenades).
-Turrets don't respawn.
-150% damage resistance.
-Territory capture is instant.
-Players are immune to headshots (balance reasons).
For an authentic WW2-feel...
-Higher Gravity
-No Shields
-No Radar
Allies: Get off your landing boats and make your way to the beach. Take cover behind the scattered crates until you can reach the rifles that have washed up on the shore near the barriers. Lay down some suppression fire on the Germans and get to the grenades farther down on the beach, but watch out for the mortars! Use the grenades to take out the turrets. Get to the assault rifles, then kill the remaining Germans and breach the wall.
Tips:
-There are some propane tanks on top of the wall, shoot them to take out one of the turrets.
-If you 'nade the antenna from the right angle, it will fall and block one of the turrets.
-There's a flare somewhere on the beach, find it and use it to blind the Germans.
Germans: Stop the Allies from making it past the wall. There are four turrets, two snipers, and almost unlimited land mines. There are two stairways they can use, so make sure to have them both covered. Once the Allies walk past the wall, it's game over.
Tips:
-Use the snipers to cover the far left and right sides.
-If the Allies get near the wall, throw a mine near them and shoot it.
