Mongoose Race-Map.

Mongoose Race-Game Variant.

This is a mongoose racing map I made a while back. It's a little hard to traverse but once you understand it it's awsome. I've had nothing but good reviews. There can be anywhere from one player (thats just trying to learn the map or get better at it) to 12 Players (I think [I'll update soon if the nuimbers wrong]). You spawn with plasma pistols so if your racing and you have a partner you can shut down another mongoose (not recomended for the begginging of the race).

Heres a video on how to traverse the map
_____________________________________________________________ ________________

The story so far: A group of Spartan super solders have quarantined themselves from the outside world due to fear of the flood. The flood have kept on pushing the Spartans farther and farther up a beach, now they're stuck inside a building with only one exit. But the was is locked, the Spartans sent an AI into a computer to unlock the door, the AI said it should take six minutes to unlock the door. The flood are constantly trying to get into the building and your afraid you dont have six minutes, with a very limited supply of ammo and one personel shield...can you prove yourself wrong? 8-16 Players.

If you read above I think you can kind of understand what I did.

It's a Zombie gametype. Zombies have no sheilds, low gravity (75%)and high speed (150%).

This was the first map i ever made on forge and everyone who plays seems to like it Itried to give it that realism that bungie gives to all its maps its called Pelican Down

[THE GAME] [This map was made for infection] So basically the humans start of at the down pelican i have a back story which i will put in the other paragraph. So as i was saying the humans start at the downed pelican i have changed the map so the downed pelican looked like it was actually coming in full of troops and supplies. The humans have to make it to the base that is still in working order which is the base to the mountains in the back story its is Bravo base there the humans will make there stand and try and survive until for 15 min until evac/the round ends. The zombies will start in the trashed remains of Alpha base. Bravo bases turrets are still operable so you may think that giving the humans a base and turrets are gonna make it really hard for the zombies well your wrong the turrets will never respawn and the weapons closer to alpha base have a longer respawn time and as you get farther away there respawn time decreases. There are fallen drop pods all over the map with guns and grenades around them.

[THE STORY] [just a quick version] Blue team AKA the survivers/you were on your way to drop of ammo and supplies to alpha base when a flood attack destroyed alpha base and all its members the flood managed to clog your pelicans engines as you were evacuating and you and the members of the surviving blue team crash in the hills only 50 meters from alpha base. your pelican is destroyed and the radio is offline and to make matters worse the flood are on route to your position your only chance is to get to Bravo base and hope the radio equipment there is still intact. You use the radios to contact any inbound pelicans and demand an evac the good news is your signal gets through the bad news the nearest pelican will take 15 min to get to you. So you and the rest of blue team stranded in this hell hole have to survive for 15 min until evac and to make things worse most of the ammo your pelican was carrying was left at alpha base or dispersed around in between the bases in drop pods when you crashed. So as you run low and ammunition and pwait for evac to arrive do you have what it takes to survive.

tell me what you guys think

I tried creating a Boxing arena out of Guardien and i say i think i made it look like one its called Fight Night like most of my other maps i tried to give it the realism feel by making the middle into an almost boxing arena type thing.i floated overshields over the red teams spawn point which i call locker rooms because i made the spawn areas look like they were locker rooms before you come out into the arena which is the middle on the top ledges i put camping stool and turret cases to make it look like it was meant to sit a crowd and radios at the top for the announcers there is no announcers in the game was just trying to make it feel real and to make it feel like your actually under the lights i floated some custom power ups into the sky to make it look like there lights so tell me what you guys/girls think

Dead Rising

This variant of Infection begins with one "Alpha Zombie." This player is plagued with slow speed and in very vulnerable, but can jump twice as high as any elite or spartan and is invisible to the naked eye. He can also spread this plague to each player he can subdue. Think you can outlast the outbreak. Think again.

Very fun and has been tested for longevity. Try it and if you don't like it, you can always delete it.

I wonder if there is a Teabaging Medal?

If there were, it would be called "TESTOCULAR!"

Sand Gulch, set up for Gulch wars
Designed for use with the Gulch Wars team slayer variant, this map replaces all Covenant weapons and vehicles with human equivalents. Some things, such as the snipers and shotguns, have been relocated. Some hidden things just for fun. Great for vehicle-lovers!

Gulch Wars
The Gulch Wars team slayer variant. Not too different from normal team slayer, but the above map was designed with this slightly tweaked weapon set in mind.

The Tunnel game variant
The Tunnel map variant

The Tunnel is a map variant of "Last Resort", The map has been cleaned of everything accept for where all the action takes place.
The slayer game variant "Tunnel" is also required to play on this map variant.

There are two places that intense combat takes place in this map, the weapons room and the tunnel. You will either spawn at the
Bungie default spawn locations on the map or you will spawn in the weapons room. If you spawn at a Bungie default location then there
are plenty of teleporters located around the map that all lead to the weapons room, once your in there then all hell breaks loose!

The weapons room contains shotguns, swords, sniper rifles, bubble grenades and fire bombs. You can either opt to teleport to the tunnel
via three teleporters in the weapons room or stay there for some intense close quarters combat, but don't think the tunnel is any picnic
as once you die in the tunnel you will re-spawn back to the weapons room although you will have 3 seconds of invincibility to ward of any
spawn killers.

As much of a slaughter fest as it is, you can actually employ some quite nifty tactics, especially in the tunnel. With fire bombs and
bubble shields in your arsenal you can compartmentalise the tunnel and create zones of fiery death or protect yourself from the sniper
who just teleported into one of its ends.

The Tunnel is suited to slayer game variants of 2 - 6 players though I do not recommend using any weapons that have exploding projectiles
or it will wreck the game. Any more then 6 players is OK but expect to be involved in an absolute blood bath.

There is a bug in the game, in a typical 50 kill battle one or two of the containers that make up the tunnel will disappear.
I spent about 15 hours trying to solve this problem and the best I could come up with at the end of it all is I gave all
components of the tunnel 10 second re-spawns, so if and when it disappears its not for long. The map works very well when you
consider that what I have done with the map probably isn't exactly what Bungie had in mind for their map editor to do. Besides, the balance
of the game type holds it together because if some one goes outside the tunnel for that 10 seconds then they wont find too many players to kill
and will simply have to head back to the weapons room via a teleporter. There are two hidden weapons in the map...Good things come to those who
wait.....

This is the slayer game variant that is used to play on the map variant "The Tunnel".

50 kills
No grenades at spawn
3 seconds of invincibility at re-spawn
All map options are map default
3 second re-spawns
1 kill = 1 point
radar set to 150m with friends and foes.

Thanks Flying Custard for helping me in those first couple of hours to suss out if it was going to work or not.

I can help there. Click on all the components on the tunnel and set the minimum limit to the highest it can get.

Then they will never leave I think.

Unless it's just the tunnel falling apart, not exploding. Then you got the best solution

Air valhalla

a king of the hill gametype that is heavily air vehicles based. you spawn in your own base with each team getting a rocket launcher, turrets and increased stats to prevent spawn camping. Each team also has a hornet and two banshees.

the aim of the game is to hold the hill (obviously) the hill is easily defended against foot soldiers but is ill equipt against the air vehicles. basically its great fun, and is one of the rare chances to have a decent air fight.

Pelican Down (not to be confused with the previous pelican down above on this page)

This is a King of the hill style game played on my particular variant of Valhalla link here That link includes the game variant with a 250 point victory limit, but you can change that to suite your own needs.

The downed pelican is set up as somewhat of a fortress; this is where the only hill is located. The area is littered with boxes, barrels and barricades to provide extra cover while defending the downed Pelican, as well as four rapidly respawning turrets. There are numerous close quarters weapons scattered around the crash site, including SMG's, magnums and a needler. Two shotguns are located in either cave next to the pelican, providing excellent defensive as well as offensive potential. Most of the other weapons on the map remain in their default positions.

Each team starts at their respective bases, containing a single mongoose, and a hornet. An additional mongoose and a warthog spawn shortly into the game. The bubble shield at the radio tower was moved, and replaced with a single scorpion tank. This forces the teams to make a decision, they can either rush the tank, and attempt to control all weapons capable of destroying it, and use it as an unparalleled offensive tool; or rush the hill for an early lead. this setup also encourages the teams to make use of the passenger space available on the hornet, using it as a transport / air drop vehicle, or utilizing the two brute shots located next to the hornet to turn it into an effective strafing tool capable of wiping the hill clean before rushing in for the capture.

The difficulty of capturing a heavily fortified hill in this variant makes the use of flares, radar jamers, deployable cover ect. crucial to victory. Teamwork is absolutely necessary to success on this map, as an unorganized assault will fail instantly. A good tactic for attacking players is to wait for several, if not all of their team to gather before making an assault. This is far more effective than sending in a single warthog or a tank, seemingly powerful weapons in any normal game; these alone will have little success on this map. The placement of vehicles and weapons on this map seemed to work well the few times i played it, but many adjustments have been made since its conception, and i'm sure some of you will find many more, but it seemed to run prety smoothly other than some odd respawning hiccups. Forge is tons of fun to play on this map as well!

This variant should be played with 16 players, but at least 12 will suffice.

Enjoy!

Freezeout is an explosive, balanced, and very addicting Infection game that takes place at Snowbound. The humans take control of the fortified basement while the bloodthirsty zombies roam on the surface. There are also some camps set on the snowy surface for the unlucky human who finds him/herself wandering out of the base. Watch out for a tricky teleporter and some unbarricaded entrances! Freezeout

Rat Race/Great Escape/Sandshark/Whatever...
Infection
Sandtrap
This gametype is basically a normal Infection game... no special maps, no nothing. Well, kinda. The map has 7 Mongooses, and 2 Warthogs. All humans spawn by the Warthogs/Mongooses. The 1st and solitary Zombie spawns opposite them. The Zombies have 300% speed, 75% gravity, no shields, and a 150m enhanced radar. Humans get BR and Magnum to start, and no radar. Have fun with this one.

EDIT: I'll get the map and gametype up on my fileshare.

i dont have a link to DL the map and gametype but its simple.

ZOMBIE OUTBREAK

a game of infection ..start with at least 2 zombies/ zombies 125% speed / humans start with SMGs ,75%-50% speed

on a big map( vahalla, sandtrap, last resort ) put all the spawn points close together (like i have all spawn in or by 1 elephant)

remove vehicles. remove weapons from map except one place on the other side of the map ( the other elephant ) and put more weapons.

at the start the zombies might kill 2 people in the spawning confusion when you must find the zombie in a crowd and kill them fast

Sword Pit v0.2

This is my first attempt at a game/map variant. I originally designed it for practicing but it turned out to be a blast. I welcome any and all feedback, suggestions, criticism, etc. If you like it, send me a PM and FR and feel free to invite me when you're playing.

The Game: Link: Get it!
A swords cage match! King of the hill variant with all players starting with swords, no grenades, and no radar. Rounds are to 200 points, 3 rounds total. Plays about 10-15 minutes, a little quicker with 2 players, a little longer with 6 players.

The Map: Link: Get it!
A cleaned variant of Guardian with all items, power ups, weapons and grenades removed. The hill remains stationary in the center of the map. Grav lifts are placed in the hill.

Players: 2-6
Seems to play best with 3 or 4 players. 5 to 6 gets hectic but still fun and playable. 2 is real nice for swordsmanship practice.

Game Details:
1 point per second on hill, 1 extra per second uncontested. 3 points per kill. Hill stationary.
200% damage resistance, normal shields. 200% recharge rate, 50% leeching.
primary weapon: Energy Sword. No secondary weapons. No weapons or grenades on map.
plays 3 rounds to 200 points each round. No time limit.
suicide timer still 10 secs to punish the dorks that launch themselves off the map with the grav lifts or miss a jump trying to sneak into the ring outside the choke points.

Map Details:
Guardian variant with everything removed except spawn points and the center hill. Grav lifts added in for spots in the hill. Spawn points in the hill removed, and a couple other spawn points removed that were a little too far. Just because you can't get to the hill fast, doesn't mean you took the best route; But if anyone finds a spawn point that really is a pain to get back to the hill, upload a clip and let me know.

Comments:
I designed this because, frankly, I'm a noob and suck(ed) with the sword. I didn't seem to find any improvement in live play because I couldn't get close enough unless I managed to get into the hill on a king of the hill match. Swords matches were infrequent and I generally got jumped or blown up before I actually made a move. So, of course, I designed this for practicing and it turned out to be really fun! I welcome any and all feedback.

Media:
A video can be found in my fileshare, as well as snapshots and videos in the Game Assets of the following games:
http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=731983 33
http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=726602 96
http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=732440 33

Known Issues:
- I wanted to reward the winner of any given battle with kill points, but I didn't want fighting outside the hill. I considered making you invulnerable if you're not in the hill, but you should be able to take out someone running for the hill that gives you their back. The points should make it worthless to camp and kill so the kill points are there.
- The grav lifts are angled a bit to launch people around the hill. They don't always stay in place.
- radar is changed to allies only, but it's a free-for-all, so this in effect disables the radar, but it's really not disabled

Release Notes:
- v0.1-01 - Increased damaged resistance
- v0.1-02 - removed a couple crappy spawn points.
- v0.1-03 - disabled radar to remove some positional advantage for the uncontested king
- v0.2-01 - added grav lifts
- v0.2-02 - Made it 3 rounds to extend the play time
- v0.2-03 - Increased shield vamping to 50% and sped up shield regeneration to prevent overly 'tired' kings
--- v0.2 Beta start - 22-Oct-2007 ---

To Do:
- tweak game options more to maintain integrity if played without custom map to facilitate toying around on other maps.

Subject: The Official and Only Halo 3 User-Created Gametypes/Maps Thread

Awaiting Fallout 3

Gang Fight - Slayer Variant
Think about real life. There are a few rounds, and in each round you can die only once. You start with a magnum, and unless you kill someone and take their magnum, that's all you'll have. No shields. No grenades. No turrets. No vehicles. Just headshot-skill with a magnum. This is team enabled, so you can pay your tributes and make your alliances. Last team standing wins the round. Preferably play on a canvas or another map with no equipment or power ups. This game-type works for any number of players.

Chaos Rain, Blowing Up Containment
This variation of Containment lives up to its name. It literally rains chaos: Explosions left and right...Grenades falling from the sky...teleporters strewn about. This is a true battlefield. This map is set up for most game-types, go ahead and try Slayer, one- and two-sided CTF, KOTH, and some others. In the true spirit of blowing stuff up, this map has TONS of grenades, brute shots, and fusion coils. Teleporters, Grav Lifts, and other equipment give this map versatility and volatility. There are two Mongooses for speed. There is a single rocket launcher. There is a single Spartan Laser. There will be dead bodies and wreckage flying everywhere - No On Will Be Safe. You cannot hide.

Gladiator, a 2-player Gametype
EpiGladiator, a 2-player map
Use the above Map and Gametype together.
Remeber the show American Gladiators? Remember the game Assault? This brings similar gameplay to Halo 3. Two players. One gets a turret and a good view of the map. The other gets various cover points and guns with limited ammo. Both players start with shields, but only the one on the floor (running for his life) regenerates shields. The game-type is based on Infection, so the round is over when the player on the turret is defeated. Appropriate points are awarded for each kill. At the end of the round, roles switch and players find out just what it takes to be a Halo Gladiator.

I had a question about a custom game option, and rather than create another thread to plague the forums, i thought I'll ask here instead. Under respawn settings, you can change it so a player will only respawn if their team gets a kill, even if they're out of lives. However, when I turn this option on it doesn't work. The person who is out of lives and dead still stays out. I was planing on making a dodgeball type game where one must take out someone from the other team to get a teammate back in. Any answer to this would be great.

I'm sure you guys have gotten many submissions of racetracks, especially on Valhalla, but mine seems to be considerably more popular than those I've seen, so I figured I'd submit.

(If downloads matter, the older version can be found at: 3933 Downloads!)

Now for the important part:

Map Variant: Mongoose Track
Game Variant: Singles Racing

The game variant is a VIP-variant with an integrated finishline for laps, and is set to three laps by my settings. Because it is a VIP-variant, if everyone wants to get credit for laps, they MUST be the VIP.

The track supports up to 8 players racing, and supports 16 if playing doubles. (If playing doubles, there are two people per team, and the VIP drives. The reason the VIP drives is while everyone starts with a plasma pistol, only people who are not VIPs have unlimited ammo, meaning you get more than 3-5 shots to stun your opponents. This is to prevent one person completely messing up a free for all race with unlimited ammo.)

The game spawns you within 5m of the starting line, indicated with a line of weapon holders, as well as two Mongooses already positioned and ready to race. The other 6 Mongooses are tucked into the wall in way that they are completely out of the way if you don't play with a full house. The variant comes with a 10 second destination movement which has gotten a few complaints because of the constant "Destination Moved" notifications that myself and my friends use to start out races, so set it to whatever works for you (I recommend 15 at the highest, unless you have an alternate method of starting the races, then 30 seconds is sufficient).

The track is very straightforward, as myself and those who helped me develop the map took great pains to make it raceable even on the first run through. And as a helpful hint, we marked the two jumps in the track with Custom Powerups on either side of the entrance to them, making them easily discernable. There is no special trick or compensation to be made between laps as the finish line and starting line are directly connected, meaning you just go straight through to the next lap. Also, beneath the two jumps are gravlifts which we tried to make as helpful as possible in getting you back into the race. The gravlifts are easy enough to use on the second jump, but the ones on the first jump require a bit of compensation on driver's end. (The jumps are easy to make though, so no worries unless you get hit with a plasma pistol bolt.)

Because this map was made about 3 weeks ago, there are a few things I noticed that could use a little non-essential tweaking (A boundary that disappeared in this newer version, slight movement of gravlifts to make things easier, and blocking off the bases because they weren't any problem until recently when one of my friend went in them.) I say this because, while the map is still easily playable, if this map is even CONSIDERED to be in the favorites, I'd appreciate notification prior to it being used so I could make those slight modifcations so that everyone gets the best playing experience. (I used this version rather than updateing it before post because it has been circulated a decent amount at 1500 downloads, so it doesn't look like I'm posting a map no one is intrested in.)

Also, because the VIP variant limits conversation to proximity only (unless Bungie decides to let that be customizable) we've also played the track in the regular slayer variant, where we tend to mess around more and taunt/laugh at each other. Its more recreational than anything, so just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone who may enjoy the map more that way. Otherwise good luck, and hope you enjoy!

I swear if somebody sigs me I will rip their face off.

I current ly don't own an Xbox 360 but heres one somebody could make.

Name: Pirates of the Caribbean
Type: team slayer
Teams: red vs. blue
Number of people: At least 8
Weapons on map: human
Map: Sandtrap
Game stats: 50% gravity and 150% speed.

The rules are simple. Each team starts with spawning in their elephant and has to kill each enemy 5 times. some more spawn points are placed near weapons and vehicles. One warthog or mongoose for each elephant. most of the human weapons spawn on there with grav lift and personal sheild. the best thing you can do is take over the enemy elephant and drive it around with your friends, blowing up the opposing team. Try board sideing them and see the flying bodies. :-)

Be sure to give partial credit to me, TY!

The map I created is called Bioshock and the test release was a huge hit with more than 2100 downloads in one week. This map is completely based underwater (hence the name Bioshock) limiting your visibility and making it more difficult to kill your enemy. Weapons are located along rock edges and there are some hidden weapons that will greatly help you if you can find them. :D The teleporters and the creates act as barriers so you don't die or go back onto land. Made for about 4-8 players due to the maps small size. Screenshots, videos, and comments are listed below for your interest.

team SMaLO

Team Swat King+
Pretty much is what it sounds like. Team SWAT, but crazy king style. Plus some mods that make it more interesting. Some important mods to know before playing:

To be played with the Guardian King map
Team score is the LOWEST score on the team, which means every person has to get the full time in the hill. (This is under debate since some poeple think it's too hard, so it might change later to just total time)
You lose time while outside the hill.
You get 1 point per second while on the hill, but 4 points per second if it's uncontested.
2 points for a kill.
No radars.
Firebomb grenades? Yes, yes I think I will.
The custom powerup is your friend, but it will expose you.

I'm sure you'll be able to figure out the rest. Let me know what you think.

I messed around with teleporters on this map. There are two two-way teleporters and 5 receivers only. The two-way nodes are in the middle of the map, and if you take one you will be transported to a random exit location, which makes for a good escape.

Weapons and equipment:
2 Rocket launchers (do not spawn at the start of the game, and only have one clip)
2 Sniper Rifles (also 1 clip and don't spawn at the start of the game)
2 Shotguns (lowered ammo)
2 Maulers
2 BRs
2 Carbines
3 ARs
2 Spikers
1 Brute Shot
3 Plasma Rifles
3 SMGs
2 Magnums
2 Plama Pistols
2 Fire Grenades
Several Frag, Plasma, and Spike Grenades
1 Bubble Shield
1 Power Drain
1 Active Cammo
1 Overshield
