Subject: The Official and Only Halo 3 User-Created Gametypes/Maps Thread

Hey Halo 3 players My son and I have created two Vehichle Heavy Boards we uploaded them and we are also looking for 10-16 players to try them out the way they were inteded.

First one is Run Sucker 002
Second one is Into the Frey

We have played with four people max so far, the action is intense and the boards themselves have just the right mix of weapons and vehicles. We hope some people will give us a try as we will be online waiting for you.

Splatterball, what i believe to be the new griffball.

The objective is simple and unpresidented. Get hte ball into the opposite teams net using your chopper. once you score, commit scuicide and jump to get the point and end the round. This is not a trust game and there is absolutly nothing like this game. 1v1 or 2v2 only.

Hrad - Team games
It is a map for team games - One Bomb, Capture the Flag and Slayer. One team starts in the fort and the other for "siege" of walls. The strength found two rocket launchers, one Spartan Laser, two heavy machine guns, a lot of shotguns, grenades and mines. Behind the wall, although not so many weapons but have two warthog. Middle of the map is overshield level above it and a hammer to hammer the path leads around explosive tanks, so players can rival what is better to remove it - but the risk is worth it. Although the walls have better equipment and in strength starting with an advantage that leads to the castle just a few ways, unlike the open wall.

There is also a prerequisite for good Zombie games. Map is well suited to do.

Is there a way to find custom games? I mean slayer is fun and all, but sometimes I want to play some infection or some crazy map. Not many of my friends play Halo 3 :( Could you guys add my GT and invite me to a party to play with you in a custom game? thanks!

I have map called barracks. It's a map on Blackout, where infected try to of course kill the humans. They have increased damage resistance though so it takes a few more bullets to kill with if your not headshoting with BR or sniper. Also weapons don't respawn. I planted small weapon caches around the map should you find yourself running low on ammo, but it may take a bit of exploring so your teammates won't be able to help you unless you have a buddy.
The game type I made for it is called Virus.

The Infected one is a sniper on a hidden spot, while the others go on a race with mongooses to get to a safe area pick his favorite weapon and kill him.

Meteorstrike is a 4v4 gametype my friends and I played in Halo 2 that I made up. Since the brute shots don't fire the same as their H2 predecessors I had to make some modifications.

Meteorstrike is basically this:
1)You start off with a brute shot, 2x overshield, 150% damage resistance, 1 life, and 5min on the clock
2)You fire a barrage of brute shot ammo towards the enemy as they do the same back.
3)After 2min is up a bridge will open to a teleporter that will take you to a arena area.
4)In the arena area it's a brutal close quarters melee battle to the death.
5)There are 3 rounds.

I am still the wizard that did it.

Presenting Top to Bottom, a Capture the Flag map that uses all three floors of Sandbox.

Players start out on a rickety platform in the sky box. A small amount of weaponry is available, but no direct access is available to the enemy base. Armaments include a rocket launcher and an almost empty battle rifle.

Teleporting to the surface of the Sandbox yields mobility and greater firepower, as the battle rifles are stocked with additional clips.

Falling through to the Grifball arena reveals the two flag capture points, overshields, and a close-combat feel. There is very little to hide around, making the final push challenging. In the center of the arena is a teleporter back to the center of the sky box, allowing careful players man cannon access to either base. Reckless players will find their bodies falling to the surface, awaiting respawn.

Long sight lines, adequate cover, vehicles, and a Capture the Flag experience that should please all types of Halo player, these are the binding principles of Top to Bottom.

Map: Top to Bottom
Gametype: Top to Bottom - Assault Rifles and Magnums on spawn, all other settings are unchanged.
Players: Recommended 8-16.

This is a sky bubble map I've been working on. It still needs a good playtesting. I want it to be a surprise overall, so I'll just say the game style changes the longer the game goes on. And a word of wisdom, look before you leap. Rock on.

Description of Map
Hey guys! You know that map I've been working on, the volcano? It's finally finished and I wanted to give it to you guys to enjoy!

So, it's basically just a map with a big mound in the center that shoots blocks into the air, they then fall back down and injure or kill anyone in their path.

The map has 2 Rockets (120 second respawn, 1 extra clip), and 2 grav lifts (90 second respawn), placed leaning against the obelisks on the perimeter of the map. The obelisks mark the approximate danger area of the map, inside the ring they form you can expect to be smashed by falling debris.

There are also 4 Mongoose (10 second respawn) next to fins in between gaps in the obelisks.

The hill changes size, not position, so you'll either be fighting over the summit of the volcano or the entire thing!

Description of Gametypes
The gametypes are King of the Hill variants where you spawn with a Magnum as your primary weapon, and a Brute Shot as your secondary weapon. You get 1 point for being in the hill, an additional 1 point for being in it uncontested, and 1 point per kill in the FFA version. The team version only gives you points for kills and uncontested control, with the sum of the team being the actual score. Both gametypes go up to 200 points.

Generator's on Flag Repulse this is a game were you destroy the generator to open there base door's then you go up the elevator to the flag down the shoot in to a warehouse once your out bring the flag to your base to score if your the opposing team your maze will be different you will half to climb wall's by gun turrets then when you make it to the top of the roof you jump down a different shoot then your in the warehouse you bring it back to your base you score. Burnt Reynolds - Bang it out loud and balanced!

The Control Room

My semi-symmetrical Team Slayer map with static spawns. There is one sniper on the map and it's right in the middle. Both teams have access to plenty of BR's and close quarter weapons on either side. Not too cluttered but has a good variance of elevations and cover.

Killhouse, a redesigned version of Foundry

Killhouse is designed with military realism in mind, in which the "Foundry" facility has been completely redesigned and retrofitted into a live-fire training center. The central focus of the facility is the "arena," a partly isolated rectangular-shaped range complete with barricades arranged in paintball-esque fashion, and featuring shield barriers to allow for observation of training events by evaluators from outside the central area (i.e., via shield barriers).

Weapons are scattered around the map, both inside the arena, in the loading bays, and along the walls where equipment is stored. While the map was physically constructed with symmetry in mind, it can be used with any number of players, in all gametypes and their variants.

The only standing issues are a lack of a sniper rifle, and concerns over respawn areas for Territories and Assault-styled games, though I've worked to make sure "spawn camping" is reduced.

I once considered releasing this map with the "arena" open for development by the individual player.

I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions, and help in making sure all of my spawn points and respawn areas are working as they should.
