Ragtag Rebels

Thread

The plot: in 2551 (2 years before the events in halo 3) an oppresive military force is taxing the people of Civilon, one of the outermost colonies, where few even know about the intergalactic war taking place on earth. An attempt by a militia of Civilonian citizens takes a gunship of supplies and personnel to their base of operations, only to crash in the middle of the Indian Ocean. With half their team MIA, and nine tenths of their supplies deep inside a watery grave, can the invasionary force still pull it off?

Features: 6 Mongooses and a washed-up supplies crate on the beach, and 4 warthogs, a scorpion tank, and an armory of Flamethrowers, ARs, BRs, Shotties, Snipes, Rockets, Magnums, and more in the base. 3 minutes into the battle, the base will launch a bomb spree on the beach, so you'd better take those mongooses elsewhere, they won't respawn!!!

Tips:

Rebels:
Use the grav lift to cross the wall, then line the open gate with trip mines.
Move the mongooses up the beach before the 3 minute mark, as they will be bombed by the base.
No objects Respawn, so use them wisely.
Players who have the power drains and regenerators must stay in a team and use their equipment well.
Enter the base via grav lift, the sniper outpost, or the pipeline crawl.
Always have heavy weapons on the mongooses.
Don't waste flamebomb grenades, as they are great for sabotaging vehicles.
Use the flare at the pipe entrance exit to get past enemy troops to get to either the armory or the tank intact.

Base:
Take all the weapons in the armory, then set up sniper and demolition positions across the base.
Take the tank to the beach and take out the mongooses before the gunners destroy you.
Use Vehicles instead of letting them be taken by the rebels.
Guard the pipeline entrance.
Do not allow the rebels access to the armory.
The sniper building must have both a sniper and a close combat soldier for protection because this is an easy entrance for rebel forces.
Guard the pipeline exit with a flamethrower.
Put all spartan laser units at high points near the front of the base.
Only weapons and equipment respawn, not vehicles.

Works best with assault, slayer or CTF. best with more players.

Lockedout

Played on Guardian. Simple to create, its just a change of weapon spawns that makes the map much more fair and less of a camp site...

Change the weapon spawns around in the following way... Change the Hammer to a Shotgun, the Shotty to a Sword and spawn a Sniper on the ramp right next the the explosive cores. Take off both power-ups. Your pretty much done. Although when testing I found its also quite nice to switch the flash bang thing (which has almost no use what so ever) and replace it with Power Drainer.

Until they bring Lockout back.. Enjoy - this is the closest you'll get to it! ;P

Team Fortress V2
Team Fortress V2 Settings

Team fortress v2 is an upgrade from my last game team fortress H3, This is a bomb game on high ground. It is a one bomb game type where the defenders are in the armory *the base* and the attackers spawn at the battlefront *beach* they spawn with explosions in front of them and they have secret weapons and equipment throughout the map. This game works very well with 8v8v, 6v6, ext..... manly even teams, but i suggest u put 1 or extra people on the base team, it makes things more interesting lol! hope u guys enjoy the map. Send me a message if there is something that i can fix or if u loved the map

hope you check it out

Dodgeball Gametype
Dodgeball Map (Isolation)

Set in the bunkers of isolation, each team starts off with plasma pistols and no grenades. It is a run to the battlefield to see who can get the first kill. There are bubbleshields in each base that respawn every 30 seconds to prevent one team from getting an advantage, on top of that when ever a player dies they respawn with a 10 second 100% damage proof oversheild so that they can make there way to the grenades. The kills max out between 15-25 I forget. This gametype is great for 2 players to maybe up to 8. As an added bonus you get 1 flame grenade in each base careful how you use it!

Hunters

Infection gametype with a twist. "Humans" are animals with a weak melee and low shields, but high speed. "Zombies" are hunters whom mostly resemble normal players, but with 2x overshield. They must hunt down all the animals on the map. The ideal load in the game would be 8 players and up. This gametype is designed to work with these maps:

The Gibson (Sandtrap)

Hunters start on the ridge with a cache of weapons and vehicles. Animals start on the other side of the map. Smaller cache lies at the wrecked Phantom and there's a sentinal beam in each Elephant.

The Amazon (Valhalla)

Hunters start at the terminus of the river, with a cache of weapons and vehicles. Animals start near the middle. A mongoose and some weapons are in each base and there's a sentinal beam at the Pelican and the "bubble spawn".

The Facility (Last Resort)

Hunters start on the beach with a cache of weapons and vehicles. Animals start in the rather messy base (meant to be "rats"). A brute shot spawns at the usual team slayer starts.

I'll probably make another one out of the satellite map when it comes out. I haven't actually played this with anyone yet, so if you have feedback, please give it.

Coming Soon...

Contained!, renewed

Basicallly Contained!, my gametype and map on Abixenator. I'm just reloading it to this

Escape, sequel to Contained!

Escort your VIP back to your ship from the ruins of your former home.

Slightly interesting as the VIP is slightly weaker in power, but has stronger damage resistance and no recharge (though a slightly, once a round hidden powerup can revive about 50% of it)

This means he has a 'health' bar. He has higher gravity and lower speed, though.

The 'zombies' (no infecting, though) are fast, high jumping, and strong. They have infinite sword and pistol ammo.
If the VIP dies, round over.

Stranded, the sequel to the sequel to Contained!

Stranded in a valley. Revenge against the enemy who brought you there. The finale to the first part of the Contained! zombie map/gametype series.\

I will keep them on my file share for a while, then delete them off and make new games, random. Then I will release the final half.

I also plan to make a story of it =)

Lava Pit
Lava Floor

This is a map TRMBONEblue and I made. This was made to play the game type Lava Floor. It is on my file share as well.

Here is a brief description..

Remember when you were a little kid? If you can remember, than you remember that you have probably played "Don't touch the lava!" with your friends. The point was not to touch the ground. Now at our current age, we can't play that without losing our dignity.... Until now!

What this map/game actually is may be the first of its kind to actually make sense and give the players an enjoyable experience.
The point of the game is to have the highest amount of points.
You start at 0 and the hill switches very rapidly.
The hill gives you NEGATIVE 5 points per second instead of positive points. This may sound easy, but each hill is huge and there is no place on the map completely safe from its wrath.
Each player is invincible and has a gravity hammer to blast your opponent into the hill.
You are forced to turn orange while in the hill.
It is recommended to be played with 4-10 people.

Raven
I am ACRaven. I play stuff. That is all.

Useful Stuff: Skull Guide, Forum Rules, Armor Gen.

Ghostbusters:The Game! Now available at your local Halo 3 File Share!

Ghostbusters is a classic Infection gametype that pits Busters against the Ghosts. Busters start out with the Bruteshot and have to aquire more Ghostbusting items. The Alpha Ghosts, or "Big Boos", are white and semi-transparent beings that have stronger shields and are faster than their minions. Regular Ghosts are weaker, green versions of the Big Boos. All ghosts are equipped with Plasma pistols and Energy Swords. All players have two lives, even ghosts, but ghosts can bring back their fallen by adding to their ranks. Once a Buster becomes a ghost, any ghosts that were exterminated are brought back to cause more havoc.

Also, Team Work is key here for the Busters. Those who Bust on their own get busted up, so make sure to take on Ghosts as a team.

For the Ghosts, they do more damage than usual. Big Boos (Alpha) do 300%. I belive Minions (Regular Zombies) also do as much, or it's 200%. Also, Minions are slower than their Big Boos, but both types of ghosts "float" when they jump. Both types of Ghosts have Overshields (Big Boos 3x, Minions 2x) Damage Resistance is pretty big (unknown to me at this time, around 150% to 300%), but Busters can still take out Ghosts with effort.

All Ghosts (and Last Man) have Infinite Ammo. Also, That's all the Last Man gets. Ghosts may want to attack the Last Man as a team, especially if he has a Fuel Rod Gun.

4 to 8 players recommended for this game. Infection start out (players who start out as Zombies):25%.
_____________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________

Haunted House:The Map! Needed for the Ghostbusters Game!

High Grounds Variant for the Ghostbusters Game. Busters start out by the beach with a ton of weapons, including a Gauss Warthog (aka The Ghostbuster Mobile), 4 Sentinal Beams, and 4 Power Drains. This may seem unfair at first, but Busters will run out of ammo soon, which will force them to move toward the Haunted House. For those who explore around the Haunted House, and within, Busters may come upon Treasure Chests (Turret Cases) that contain powerful Buster weapons, including Fuel Rod Guns, Beam Rifles, Carbines, and Spartan Lasers. Not these weapons will destroy the Ghosts by themselves (excluding the Fuel Rod Gun), but will severely hurt them.

As for the Haunted House within, there are many Ghostbuster weapons here. There's even a room hidden in the Haunted House that contains multiple Buster weapons, sort of like a weapons cache. A small enviromental hazard is in the Haunted House: The missile launcher has now been activated and now fires off small missiles every once in a while.

As for Spawns, Ghosts can respawn anywhere, even if they started inside the Haunted House. This is so if the Busters are in the Haunted House, the Ghosts will start to respawn on the beach. So you may want to watch your back if your a Buster.

Delete both power ups. Players start with Battle Rifles and Shotguns, with normal grenades on map. 1 Vs. 1 or 2 Vs. 2.

So if you like the br like everyone else, where is it. We need it for the spawn.
Good Gametype too.

Been working out the kinks, but here it is:

The Map
The Mammoth

The Gametype
RUN

Here's the set up:

This set up is meant for 6+ people, the more the merrier.

There is one elephant on this map that is heavily tricked out, complete with several Turrets and two warthogs lodged in the back, facing the rear. The survivors of the zombie attack immediatley start the match near the "Mammoth" which happens to be near a plentiful stock pile of weapons. Now the object is for the survivors to take the "Mammoth" and evade the zombies as best they can. The zombies move at 300% speed with 50% gravity and 0% shields. I recommend taking the mammoth and driving.

Map Variant of Chaos

High Chaos
You and your enemy will traverse endless explosions and randomized portals as each of you leverage for the kill. Loaded with turrets, you will either face your maker or laugh as your enemy tap dances and bunny hops around an endless fray of lead and plasma.

Several portals are scattered about the arena launching you to a random exit, which adds to the chaos of the explosions and flying debris as you foil your pursuing foe.

I have reorganize the scenery, weapons locations and types.
A few powerful weapons have been hidden as well.

I have a fun gametype to offer. My friends and I have been playing around with this since the beta.

Tequila Time

300% speed, SMGs only (infinite ammo), Vampiric Shields, etc.

First of all, this gametype works best on maps with lots of open ground for easy movement. Valhalla and Sandtrap, particularly. I wouldn't play it on any other map. The fun comes in the freedom of movement, carrying on battles while moving at insane speeds.

This is what I imagine it's like to experience bullet-time in real-time. You run fast, shoot fast, and never die as long as you're shooting someone.

It mainly comes down to a test of reaction time and ability to track targets at high speed. Your shields recharge as you damage other players, so as long as you're dealing out damage you'll stay alive. Frequently, isolated battles and duels will go on for an indefinite amount of time and travel across the entire map before someone dies. With only SMGs available, it's really just a matter of getting a good bead on your opponent and hosing him down, like a WWII fighter plane. At the speed everyone is moving it's almost like a dogfight.

It's easy to turn the tables on your opponent even if they shoot first. Sometimes my shields will be in the red and I'll suddenly find the sweet-spot, strafe my opponent with a good hose of bullets, and I'll be back on top. It's really satisfying to win a prolonged battle.

I increased the gravity a tad so that players have more control of their motion (less floating, more running).

Also, your grenades slowly recharge, though it's extremely difficult to use them effectively and sticking someone at this speed is pretty much a miracle.

If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices.
The scary part is that if you play it forward it installs Windows.

"You know what I found? Right in the kernel, in the heart of the operating system, I found a developer's comment that said, `Does this belong here?`" -- Simon Lok about linux kernel in 2005

ok i just finished a game of shotty sniper on valhalla and got owned by a brigadier.
this guy was so good it was impressive!!
so i got to thinking how i could improve myself with the sniper rifle.
practicing in a game is ok but too many things are going on.
so i thought about a practice game type like skeet shooting but with a sniper rifle.
have things thrown through the mancannon like tripmines and you have to shoot them and get points.
have 3 different mancannons at different angles to make it harder.
maybe less gravity so they fly further.
have achievements for perfect scores etc..
