King Nothing!
Been working on this since the new maps came out, I've tested it pretty thoroughly and there shouldn't be any places to get stuck or anything. My forum name is my gamertag if you have any comments/questions/suggestions.

The main installation in this map is a large, 3-story structure, accessable to all teams/players. The ground floor is mainly small corners and corridors, with little open space. The 2nd floor is has a small open area in the center with a Gravity Hammer, but also has some areas of cover. The 3rd floor has a rocket launcher atop it, but is almost completely open, with extremely little cover. There is also fence flooring on top, allowing for 3rd and 2nd floor occupants to fight vertically, though without explosives. In objective games, players will start in the corners of the map. Of the four corners, two have teleports to an overshield wind tunnel, which simply launches players through and onto the top of the main facility. The other two corners have man-cannons directly to the top floor. There are also lifts at the base of the main structure to the top floor. This map was designed mainly with King of the Hill and Oddball in mind, though it works well for Juggernaut and Slayer games. Does not support Assault, CTF, or Territories. Great with 6-14 players, accomodates any size. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

I made a noob combo variant. I put 500% shields and infinite ammo. Obviously the weapons were PP and BR. I put 500% shields so people wouldn't just use the BR. You can't use any vehicles or grenades. To finish people off you need to get a headshot with the BR. It has to be a headshot. Assassinations are always usable. I don't know how to link though can someone link this: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=15526259

Here are some cool new map variants i made for foundry.

┌──────┐
The Cube
└──────┘
This map is a complex cube primarily for CTF.
Each team starts off in different bases and tele to the top of the cube.
In this cube you fight to get the flag at the bottom of the cube.
If you make it to the bottom and back to your base there is a surprise to give you the upper hand on the competition.
4-16 players

┌─────────┐
Zombie Castle
└─────────┘
This map is a castle made for the Infection variant.
Uninfected start off in the castle floating above the ground.
Infected start off in a quarantined zone.
3 ways for the infected to make it into the castle VIA teles in there zone.
If you fall off the castle the only way back in is through the quarantined zone.
4-16 players

I attack the darkness

"I reject your reality and substitute my own."
- Adam Savage of Mythbusters

First, thank you for providing this thread.

Next, I'd like to present a haiku about my map.

The Deadly Ditches
runs foul with the fallen's blood
death comes easily

Here's the run down on my map:

This is a semi-multi-tiered symmetrical map that works for every game type to date and uses Foundry's standard number of players and teams. If you follow this screenshots link you can see nine preview snapshots for this map. This map was built from the ground up once JE7 of Team iFrag provided me with a version of Foundry that was cleared out save for the default spawn points. As I was developing this map I was trying very hard to capture the quick up and down movements from one level to the next you found in Halo 2's Warlock map without the map looking like Warlock. I hope I haven't disappointed in that area. I was also trying to have the "ditch" areas become tighter as you moved away from the base in order to encourage close quarters combat.

Deadly Ditches also features the following.

-- Four man-cannons and three grav-lifts that are strategically placed.
-- Two areas that provide cover for snipers (as seen in the DeadDitches01 screen-shot), but also limit to some degree a sniper's line of sight.
-- A decent selection of weapons, a couple of which you don't normally see in the play lists.
-- A central "tunnel" over which a bridge spans across. There is a "foxhole" at the end of the tunnel.
-- There are four King of the Hill way points. One of which takes advantage of the third tier bridge and the third tier mini "hill". Another focuses on the central tunnel area.
-- There are seven Territories way points.
-- The Oddball is in the foxhole at the start of play.
-- Capture the Flag is probably the most interesting. The flags start in the default locations, but the twist comes in when you have to return the flag. Instead of simply running back to your base, you have to traverse the map to one of the corners near the map's garage doors. Once there you have to go through a teleportor which drops you in a caged in around with only one way out. Taking that way out of the cage leads you back to your home base in the "office" area.
-- VIP escort provides six way points if you are so inclined to use that many.
-- Special consideration was taken for Assault and Infection in that a Plasm Cannon was setup at each base. The Plasm Cannon does not respawn so it is a precious commodity. Versions of Assault that only have one bomb take advantage of the new center "tunnel", "foxhole", and bridge area.

Any other game type I haven't specifically mention act very similar to Slayer, and play without any changes made to them. To date, Team iFrag has only played Slayer while testing this map so it is unknown how viable some of the objective and tactical game types are on this map. Well I hope you enjoy this map as much as I had in the creation of it.

I am a certified pyromaniac, who enjoys blowing things up and the feeling that you get when that explosion creates enough pressure to cause a wave that you feel the expanding gases.

I do not like people of lower than average intelligence.

This is my map called "Fortress", witch is a completely symmetrical map that is seperated by a wall through the middle prong on foundry...There are 2 bases, which are of course identical, and seperated by a wall. You can get over the wall with the man cannons(4), grav lifts(2) [only on symmetrical games] that you can utilize to and Bridges(2)[also only on symmetrical games] that are also connecting the bases... good for CTF, Assualt, Team Slayer, Territories, KOTH, and Infection... it is ideal for 4+ players and it has not been tested with more than one team due to the lack of extra bases. There are (2) mongooses on either side accompanied by a warthog (mostly for mancannon shenanigans) . There are 2 snipers, 2 Shotguns, 4 BR's, 4 AR's 2 Covenant Carbines, 2 Magnums, 2 Plasma Pistols, 2 Maulers, 1 Rocket Launcher, 2 Power Drainers, 2 Bubble Shields, 4 Fragmentation Grenades, And 6 Plasma Grenades. There are shield doors at the entry of each base, and a roof over each base, this roof opens up with a stair case to the second level. on the second level there are 2 staircases that take you to two tower on either edge of the base. on symmetrical games there is a bridge leading up to a rocket launcher. The weapons and weapon spawn times are based on a average of 3 of bungies other maps; "Epitaph", "High Ground", and "Guardian" Have fun with the map, and follow the rules or something like that. [Note: There are no ways to get out of My map, because i used the entire map to my advantage and there are NO hidden weapon caches.[Noted note: i said my map because i dont know if you can get out of Bungie's map " Foundry"]

EDIT: King of the hill does NOT work.... it will be fixed and replaced as soon as possible.

And here it is :Fortress

i will have this map running by the middle of this week. 12/17/07.

it is a 3 lvl map that is supposed to look like something from mad max or water world. it has really tight areas and some more open ones. it will have alot of grenades on the map including the incinerating grenades. the idea is to able to bounce grenades at people in the small areas. even though it will a ton of grenades there will be a normal weapon selection through out the map. any suggestions or ideas are welcome.

This is a remake of Ascension on Foundry designed specifically for tower of power. The map was designed not necessarily to look EXACTLY like ascension but to play like it with tower of power as much as possible, keeping with all the same gameplay and shortcuts that made the original great. The parts of the map where you could fall off are before are all blocked off with walls making it similar to falling off the map because you will most likely get mowed down by the turret when you fall into these spaces. Also, the random shield by the bridge is to simulate how you could not get hit on the original ascension back past the bridge.. Also note i placed a custom power up on the map, and one flare, cover, bubble shield, and a regenerator on the map, to add some new game play features. If you want just delete them. Overall i think I've done a pretty decent job at retaining alot of the same aspects so, let me know what you think.

Give it a download, me and my friend have been wanting to try it out for real too, so if you like tower of power download it and add me to your friends, Gamertag: Zcxc221.
The map can be downloaded here:
http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=15549224

I also have pictures on my fileshare . So check them out if you're unsure.

Check it out and spread the word if you like it. I'd like to get some games going on it soon maybe.

After a week of thinking and another week of building and testing....I have done it. I present to you Dodge Ball in all its glory. The Basics of it are Simple, Start out in Starting Area, Teleport to Arena. Rush the Middle and Grab the dodge balls (plasma grenades) and start chucking them at the other team! Don't go to their side or you will be penalized. After you eliminate the other team, rush their side and Laugh at them in their "Jail" as they watch you victory dance.

Ok, here is the breakdown, I know the game seems Basic, but it isn't...... it was so complicated just to figure out a way to get people to come out and throw plasmas at each other without rushing the other side. you cant depend on people to follow the "Rules" so you have to make the game enforce the rules itself. So i accomplished this by making the game territories. basically at the beginning, you capture your own territory without even trying because you start in it. but during that time you have no shields thats why you have to teleport into the arena. because when the game recognizes you as a "attacker" of a territory. but once you capture it and your a defender you get over shields and a 200% recharge rate, so the only thing that can really kill you is a plasma.

You rush out into the arena on your side, the other team on their side, there is a middle zone where the map is that is marked off with cones and the grated part of the foundry map, you can go here freely, but you cannot cross into the other teams zone, well you can.......but you will be penalized, by turning black, losing your shields, not being able to do any damage, move very slowly, and you will probably die. the other team can see you turn black and one shot with the magnum will kill you, so stay in the middle part and on your side!!!!!! the opposing team can also come into the middle, its the only place that has plasmas. there are 7 rounds. Why seven? because sometimes the last 2 people on the map will stick each other, and then everyone is trapped in the "Jail/Spectator" zone, so the rounds are only 1 min long.

the Jail is where you go when you Die, you can watch the match from a distance but you cannot participate in the fight, but you can cheer your buddies on.

When you Eliminate the whole other team, you go over and Take their territory. that is how you win/score. so you basically have to eliminate them off their side and take their territory. then after you do that, you go up to the jail and talk smack to the other team till the next round starts.

Its a FUN Fast paced game like Grift Ball. and I'm hoping it spreads around. a lot of work and play testing and tweaking has gone into this to make it a fun game and i hope you enjoy it and share it with your friends!!!!

Best with 5vs5 or 6vs6 but can have more or less, its even fun 1 vs 1

you need the MAP and the Game for it to work.
Get it off my file share.

Map name is Dodge Ball 002
Game Variant is Dodge Ball

  • 12.17.2007 4:32 PM PDT

I haven’t fully tested the game or map but I think it’s pretty good.

The Map:
Attacking team starts on the beach in homemade amphibious transports, with limited vehicles in the beginning, but then reinforcements come with more eventually; I suggest you don’t wait. The Defending team starts in the base separated, some in the back, some up front there are two turrets that I suggest you grab early to defend the base. There is an assortment of weapons for both teams at the start, but limited ammo on the map; actually there isn’t any ammo on the map. Just 1 weapon at its spawn. There are a few power weapons scattered about the map in hard to get places, they will help greatly. there are strategically placed equipment and grenades, luckly they respawn quickly Grab the flag, but have a pick up ready to bring you back, cause your slow and heavy then find a way to get the flag in the ghetto Pelican. You have 5 minutes to complete your mission.

Flag Run Beach

The Game type:
Everyone spawns with a Pistol and Assault Rifle, but attackers can pick up a human weapon before you storm the base. Defenders get covenant weapons to pick up and defend their precious flag. This can be considered as the ultimate test of what weapon type is better.

1 Ton Flag

Also look at my File Share, I have a fun version of the Grifball arena.

I call mine Claustrophobia

This level was originally inspired by the first Alien movie, specifically the part where the bearded captain descends into the cooling tunnels to hunt the Xenomorph alien with his flame thrower. So the basic concept was to make something with multiple levels and narrow corridors.

3 nights and nearly 10 hours of Forging later, "Claustrophobia" was finally birthed.

The basic layout is that of a 3 level cube with a random array (maze) of corridors in each level and 5 access holes for each upper level. Screenshots can be found on the thread or in my file share.

The map plays great for slayer and infection (you're now an alien not a zombie!) and has also been set up for oddball, capture the flag(4v4), and assault(4v4) - all of which play well. The nature of the map's tight corridors and multiple levels adds a whole new aspect to these game types, for example, your motion tracker covers a large chunk of the map at any one time and you won't know if those little red dots are above or below you.

The only drawbacks are: all players need 50% gravity in order to be able to jump up levels, and given the tools and objects one can work with in Forge the player will encounter occasional difficulty with bits of floor on the upper levels where it transitions to a new bridge / wall / etc and is raised somewhat, thus requiring a jump to overcome. Any feedback and ideas on how to overcome the 50% gravity requriement would be appreciated - but it still plays well for all that.

Please comment and rate, and above all enjoy!

A forged foundry map...
Its a mostly symmetrical mountain thats great for KOTH and FFA matches
there are 5 power weapons on the map, no i didnt just pile them up and make it unbalanced
the sniper and flamethrower are on top of the mountain, there is a rocket launcher on top of the truck, a sword in well, the sword room, and a shotgun on the crane bridge ( i added the shotgun at the last minute because there wasnt much of a anti sword weapon)
These weapons are spread out pretty evenly making it possible for any player to get them. It gets pretty hectic when playing KOTH so i suggest you get the shotty when you hold the hill, and also when the hill is in the sword room use the shotty on the swordnoob because thats the most effective thing to get that guy out of there. (because of the shield doors)

yea well i suggest you download this triumphant bastard and play it till ur arms fall off =]
just kidding i dont really want ur arms to fall off cuz then u cant play it anymore =[

Hey everybody!

In an effort to create an intense and unique symmetrical map, I have worked long and hard to give you such an arena. Welcome to Olympus!

A link to this map can be found HERE

Play testers include:
Guffin
Barakatastrophe
WundahfulAhnold

Unique attributes of this map include:

Weapons and Equipment:
- The glorious Rocket Launcher, which is guarded by a shield door and three flights of stairs. But watch your back! Grenades can perfectly bounce in from the roof above or off the back wall.
- The infamous Spartan Laser sits adjacent to the Spnkr, elevated on a platform that can only be reached by Grav Lifts - two of which can be found mirrored on either side of the main stairwell.
- An Active Camo on the right. An Over Shield on the left. Both have great vantage points above them to take down wandering attackers in the alleys below.
- Two Sniper Rifles are mirrored in the back corners of the map. If you find that one's taken, head to the Two-Way Warp to bring you from Side A to Side B to grab the other one. I caution you though, that this is prime territory to get spanked from a rocket equipped Spartan with itchy trigger fingers! And you'll notice that Olympus is designed with long lines of sight in mind for those craving mid to long range action. If its a close quarters game you're craving, stick to the elevated pathways and tunnels to do some damage.
- And yes! There are Maulers on the map, which you'll find on the elevated pathways near the sniper rifles.
- Fall off the stairs on the way up to the rockets? No worries! Grab yourself that Radar Jammer, or the Power drainer and reak some havoc!
- You'll also find carefully placed Dual Wields, Needlers, Incendiery Grenades, and Brute Shots.
- And what happens if you're two steps behind someone heading up those stairs? Grab one of the two BRs under the Splazr and take em down!
- Last but not least....the Shotgun, which you'll find if you double back going up the stairs where it sits on a nice little bridge above those BRs.

Gametype Information:
- All gametypes are ready to roll!
- If you spawn in the back corridor, you can duke it out for the Energy Sword, which is flanked by the Bubble shield and a Regenerator. I blocked it off for one of the teams for when you're playing asymetrical gametypes. But don't worry, the other team gets a nice shiny Ghost for these particular gametypes instead.
- King of the Hill, Juggernaut, and Territories, make for some great gametypes on Olympus! You'll find the normal areas to hold and get to, but then once in a while you'll be fighting to claim the whole stairwell, or keeping everyone out of the peak! You have to try it!

Here's a Flikr SLIDESHOW of Olympus in action!

Or if you want stay here on Bungie Net, I flooded my Fileshare and Screenshots with pics of the action that can take place on Olympus. Here's a few that best define the experience:

Olympus from Side B
Olympus from Side A
Looking Down
The Peak
Dropping Down for the Double Kill!
From the Ground
A Profile View
From a Distance

Most importantly...Have fun folks! I hope this map can compliment the standard default maps, since we could always use another killer symmetrical map. If you have any comments both positive and negative, I'd love to hear what you think.

See you on Live!

Guffin

*Note* - Since I don't read the forums much, I didn't notice until after I posted this map that there are other Olympus maps out there. I haven't checked any of them out, and I apologize that I'm using the same name. But hey, it's a great name! This map was entirely created by myself, from the Foundry canvas. Final tweaking and testing credits go to Barakatastrophe and WundahfulAhnold, who I mentioned above. Give it a shot! A lot of thought and design went into this one. :)

Castle for Zombie, Flag, and Bomb

Castle is a Three story building that has three different ways of entry. Two from walk-in and one from man cannon. It has a secret platform above and there is one way in. Up there is where you armed a bomb or fine the flag. Watch you step you can fall. For Zombie man cannon means Man Cannon. With a last place to survive and if you fall good luck hiding place, also more weapons to keep you alive for a little bit if you can live that long. Castle is good for all objective type games you don't need a game type to down load just pick One bomb, One Flag, or any of the Infective game types and download which map you want to play on, they are Castle Zombie, Castle Bomb, or Castle Flag. Thank you for your time and tell me what you think.

High Territory

This is for those who loved Tower of Power on Ascension back in the days of Halo 2.

I've been spending a lot of time in the forge trying come up with a balanced version of ToP however have had no success until now, well I believe!

The action takes place on High Ground, with one lot defending and one lot attacking. The defenders spawn in the base with Shotguns, Pistols and a Machine Gun Turret. The defenders spawn on the beach with Shotguns, Pistols and a lone Battle Rifle.

The aim is for the attackers to gain access to the base, hop through the teleporter to the territory and capture it! Sounds simple doesn't it! Well it is however the territory is right above the heads of where the attacking force spawns, so it is so tantalizingly close, yet so far away.

This has been played quite a few times now with my friends and has had some favorable reviews from them. So what are you waiting for..download it today!

Well set up with CTF spawns but could easily be edited for other objective gametypes.....might even be fun for slayer.
