Air Superiority on Unfriendly Sky
These are the names of a Forged Map and custom gametype that I've created. I'm posting this here to get some feedback. Both pieces of content are in my file share, so feel free to download if you're interested. If you do download, please give some feedback, even if to only tell me how bad it sucks. :) Also, if this has been done before and I look like a copycat, I sincerely apologize.
The gametype is KOTH on Sandtrap. There's only one Hill, largest size available (60x60). The catch is, the Hill is located in the air. There is almost no way to earn points by staying on the ground. You have to kick the tires and light the fires, and get some birds in the sky. However, just because you've gotta keep planes in the sky doesn't mean that ground-vehicle based combat doesn't get some love, either.
Both teams have a mostly symmetrical loadout: 2 Banshees, 1 Hornet, 1 Warthog, I Gauss 'Hog, and the Elephant that contains 2 Rocket Launchers, 1 Sniper, 1 Shotgun, 1 Sentinel Beam, I Spartan Laser, 1 Gravity Hammer, 2 Machine Gun turrets (plus 1 fixed turret), 2 Trip Mines, 1 Bubble Shield, and 1 Mongoose. The respawn timers on the aircraft are low (10 seconds, or Below Minimum), the Hog's 45 seconds each, and the weapons are default with the exceptions of the Trip Mines. The starting weapons are BR's and PP's. Since it's hard to place grenades on a map that's meant to be air-oriented, I also turned Regenerating Grenades ON. If I remember correctly, I increased the MT range to 75m, as well.
(I forgot to mention that there are Mongeese scattered around the map at random. The goal was, if you were to be shot down or eject and live, you wouldn't have to walk for 2 hours back to the base.)
