Here is my map.

Basically it is made on foundry and you have to control the bottom of the map with a gauss warthog. And control the top with laser. Also to the very back there is a complex to get away from the warthog.

any fat kid gametype with the zombie having 4X overshields and a gravhammer or shawn of dead, chaostunnels2.75(map)

I didnt make the game but I made the map.
Its like an obstacle course map, you have to run away from the zombie,which has 4X overshields and moves extremely slow, knock down barriers, move crates, destroy pallets, sadly attempt to move crates and barriers blocked by teleporters, etc. its just the suspense that when you look around the corner your gonna see this glowing fat kid slowly making his way over to the noobs that are screaming at eachother because they dont know what crate to hit cuz 3 out of 4 are blocked. theres one skill part: you take a corner and see fusion coils and barriers behind an energy shield. shoot the fusion coils and the barriers fall? simple? NOT!! you have to get the timing just right so you get one of the fusion coils white and run for your life. youll die, then die again trying to make it back to where you were before. the easiest way to get past it is to get the gravity hammer from the fat kid. only way you can do that is to hide behind the teleort that he comes out of and pray to god that you can assassinate him before he turns around and kills you. then you can get a head start cuz it takes him about 3 minutes just to get to the teleport. anyway the map is on my fileshare. most likely have 4-16 players for maximum fun. :D

Hey everyone, this is my 8th map, Separation. This map is unique from a majority of Foundry maps because i diddnt use most of the Large Area commonly forged in.

The map is seperated by a large wall. There are 4 seperate hallways connecting the 2 bases on either side of the wall. The hallways have various lengths, weapons, and obstacles in them.

This forum is so full of games that "must be played with this map." In halo CE and halo 2, there weren't "forge maps that you must play this game with." What about custom games that are fun on all maps? At the Universal Gametype Group, we have a collection of games that don't require a certain map. We have playtests everyweekend to try out our new games. Membership is open.

Anyway, here are a few of mine:

name: Shotgun Brawl
description: Although this game was originally intended for a guardian map, this gametype can be played on any map. The idea is that you get points for getting kills in the hill, not spending time on it. The catch, though, is that you cannot do damage outside the hill. Shotguns start, players fast outside the hill.

name: ARs vs BRs
This gametype will finally decide: which is the better gun, the AR or the BR. One team has only the assault rifle, the other team battle rifle. No weapon pick up, 50 points to win. (Inspired by FreedCapybara and BAy4R's bickering)

name: Proximity
description: The VIP's proximity traits makes players lose their shields and can take less damage. This makes defending them more difficult, but the VIP has a splazer & an AR, 150% damage resistance, normal shield recharge, and does 150% damage. Even alone, the VIP will need a team effort to be taken down. This newer version is slightly tweaked.

name: You're it!
description: In this game, the 'naut is "it," and gets points by "tagging" someone with their sword. The person "tagged" then becomes the juggernaut and must "tag" someone else. After Battleskarz went and cried and moaned over the scoring, I made so you also get points for killing the juggernaut, even though there is no equivalent for this in real life. Unless you're just crazy and take tag way to seriously. Whatever.

This is the fixed version, where players are now allied against the juggernaut as well as a few other more minor changes.

name: Pirates vs Ninjas
Ok, I made this game to settle yet another dispute. One team consists of pirates, the other ninjas. Ninjas have poor camo, run a little faster and jump and little higher but have no shields and 150% resistance. They are equiped with a sword, and have enhanced radar for 25m. The pirates have pistols & regenerating grenades, and can't jump as high. They have normal radar for 10m. The pirate captain, however, has a pistol and and a sword, but deals less damage, no grenades, and no radar. 50 points to win, play on any map.

Here is a cool CTF map that I made with help from a friend. No pics, but I think its pretty good.

This map is meant for Multi Capture the Flag. Each team spawns in two bases, armed with weapons. Each team races up the steps that lead to ramps the float in the air, with barriers for cover. To get the flag, each team must go along a seperate ramp and walk along a thin wall, jump to a set of stairs, and finally jump to the flag. From there they must each jump back down and race up the stairs again, this time going the other way along the ramps to score where the opposite team's flag spawns.

Marksmanship

A map created to help with the shooting abilities of players.
It is a course designed with skill in mind, as there are near impossible sections for only the best of players. The map is to be run through, trying to hit at least ONE fusion coil at each area
Best for ONE player, when no ability to get on XBL to practice, make a quick run of this to increase gaming performance.
There is also a video explaining what to do.

I created a King of the Hill map on Foundry. Link to The Hill What I say here is exactly what I have written in the thread.

The original concept was literally a cone with the hill on top and spawns all around. Seems OK, eh? But as I was building it, it just didn't come out like that. It actually came out like this. As you can see, it is not a cone. The first hill is at the very top. There are frags and AR ammo up there. I will discuss the other two hills later. First, weapon spawns.

There are battle rifles at the top of every staircase. Above every spawn point, their are walls used to cover players from being spawn killed. On top of these, there is a Brute Shot, Needler, Mauler, or two Plasma Rifles, depending on the spawn point. All spawns are neutral, so you could spawn under any of them. Grenades are placed nicely across the map.

Did you notice the interior area? That's where we're going next. You can clearly see a floating platform. Second hill. Heck yes! This hill is small and, unlike the hill at the top, not very defensable. There are people on the walls around you and on the slopes above you as well as the ground below. Again, ARs and frags, but also a bubble shield.

There is a third hill. If you couldn't guess, it is on the bottom floor. It is of decent size, yes but you may wish to stick near the teleport, because that is where the radius starts. Speaking of the teleport, it is on the same channel as those receiver nodes you saw on the corners of the map in the first screenshot. The bottom florr is populated with dual weapons (except the pistols and the plasma rifles, which are already on the map). It also has a Carbine at every open box door and an abundance of equipment and the Fuel Rod Cannon behind the teleport. You can climb on the surrounding scenery to get out of the bottom if you wish.

Now, the gamemode Gladiator Hill is designed to accompany the map. Its settings are as follows:
200% shield regen rate while in the hill
Mobile hill moves in order every three minutes

Custom Powerup Settings
Gravity- 75%

Simple, no?
The game is designed for 4 teams of 4, but any amount of teams/players will work.
I chose shield regen istead of damage resistance because I didn't want it to take an obscene amount of time to kill someone in the hil, but I wanted hillgoers to have a break.
The plasma rifles are placed as a special weapon because "shoot shoot shoot, no shields, melee." There are no actual power weapons because they would be too cheap. The Mauler is more than enough, we don't need a Shotgun or Hammer.

Please download the map and mode, rate and comment. Any suggestions are much appreciated. And yes, I know it can be hard to climb the first slope. He will jump, just not high and will end up falling. I know. I can recommend being patient and jumping at the peak of the slope. Try slowing down. You may also consider jumping on the corner boxes to get up.

Here's my map:

It's called HE Tennis, and it's simple really. Two teams spawn on either side of a tennis court with grenades everywhere and everyone has to chuck them across the fence to blow up the opposing team. There are fusion coils lined up at the front, and incendiaries are piled up there as well. Instant respawn, 1 second invincibility on respawn and no betrayal/suicide penalties.

In addition to our Files forums (located here), I'm creating a thread here on the Official Halo 3 Forum to serve as a catch-all for gametypes and map variants ONLY, that have been created by the community. The hope here is that this will be used as a resource and and archive of created games and map variants from the Community.

This is NOT a place to discuss the quality of an author's work or offer suggestions, do that in the links the authors will provide for their gametype/map variants. This is ONLY for collecting the gametypes.

Here's the format for posting, (I've bolded ONLY for the purpose of making the text stand out in this wall of text, please refrain from bolding in your posts) all posts in this thread that violate the post format will be deleted by the moderators.

Rebound, a Re-imagination of Snowbound
Designed with Symmetrical-arena style slayer play in mind, Rebound takes elements of Snowbound that previously turned the map into an interior camping battle, like the Shotgun, and awards both teams a Shotgun in their respective bases. Weapon sets have been made close to identical on both sides of Snowbound in an attempt to remove the tendency of players to crouch camp underneath. This map is ideal for 2-10 players.


How to make these posts.
1. Create a gametype and map variant, upload these to your File Share.
2. Publish the Gametype and Map variants to the forums, save the links to those threads.
3. Create post in this thread, and link to the Map variant and Gametype at the Publish to Forums link here [this way players can easily click those links and download your gametypes.
4. Create a well-written explanation of changes made to the map and if necessary a description of the gametype you've created, including ideal number of players, number of teams (if necessary) and any other relevant information. Please write as clearly and coherently as possible.
5. Bungie will be watching this thread and using it as a resource for gametype creation from the community as well, all posts not relevant to the topic at hand will be removed and users potentially extinguished like torches in a monsoon.



Ok, I was thinking making a map and a gametype that coincide with the map. The Map (Under construction still) will be a Foundry Variant called "Battle Royale" which is a remake of a western-style town. The game type will called "Battle Royale"

I'm usually considered as "that one idiot that actually liked Sonic '06".

The game that I have made here is a "Jurassic Park" themed Infection Game where the humans are given areas to try to fight for their lives. There are places that you might think are safe but the "Raptors" (zombies) have the ability to reach basically anywhere that you can. So try to stay alert or else things will not turn out well for you. You start with a shotgun and a magnum and there are human themed weapons scattered around the map. There are two maps with the gametype. Please give me some feedback later on what you think needs changed since I am available a lot of the time. The Alpha Raptor has slightly more health than the normal Raptors and can't get headshotted.

Waterlogged:

lol I dont have forge pics because its not just a forged lvl with a diffirent name. its a level that actually doesn't exsistance and cant be forged.

yes Waterlogged would be the name of the map. I know it sounds weird but I mean look at the other maps: Valhala lol.

heres what Waterlogged would be like:

their is a main platform out in the middle of the water. with little walkway type deals going out left to right and back and forth. and in the middle their is a little building. now you think WTF that would be a really small map. you would be wrong. each of the pathways takes you down ramps that go underwater. now the underwater part would be about the size of all of Valhala. not the top and bottom combined to make it as big as Valhala but just the underground itself is the size of Valhala.

The Top-

their is a elevated little platform with a roof with four walkways leading up to it. so theirs the platform and the walkways but around that is a normal platform that is as long as each base is apart from eachother. so its like the top part is aslarge as Valhala is from base to base. but then theirs the underwater that is just as big. and the bases are both underwater.
UnderWater-

all the pathways lead down to what would be the middle. but like Valhala their on bases are on each sides. their are various branching off tunnels that allow you to see underwater fish swimming around and such. but dont forget the main part of the water like how their is the river middle in Valhala and that taller part of the middle.

but I should also mention that alot of the surrounding water outside you can go around in.

and the only way to do such is too have two have 4 new vehicles.

The Shark-Human Vehicle-

A Submarine type vehicle that is silver. it seats two people in seats a third can look out a back window- ever heard that Sharks ram their pray? thats why its called the Shark. its go the same concept of the Brute Chopper where you boost and it rams and kills most things.

Another Vehicle like that only Alien version- with diffirent weapons-

The Dolphin-Human-

a small boat that fits 3 people. a gunner on the back and two in the front seats-

same-Alien Version aswell-

now as you can tell this would be HUGEmap. now that I think about it,its probably all together the size of Sandtrap but counting the whole minefield area but its not dangerous.

any of the Big Team Battle gametypes- so..

I WOULD love it if this map was for real and would think it one of the best maps.

Mongoose Trap

In this edited version of Sandtrap there are no weapons. There are two grav lifts located at the top of the centre of the map. There are also two grav lifts located in weapon holders to give you a boost whilst you mongoose.

There are two spawns at each mongoose. There are spawn areas for team games such as infection, assualt, Caputure the flag. It is usable with standard game types however some people will not use the mongooses so i decided to create several game varients for this to ensure people use the mongooses and have fun. Recommeded 4-16 players.

All of the following game types include:
-25% Speed (To ensure the mongooses are used)
-A Sword starting weapon
-Regeneration Grenades
-Up to eight teams of two (excluding Infection and Juggernaut)

Mongoose Slayer - Each team must kill the other teams. Teams of two are the only ones that work. Each player has a sword and regenerating grendades so either can drive.

Mongoose Infection - There are always two zombies to begin the round. They have a mongoose as does each player, some may spawn together and use the same mongoose. The zombies will follow with a mongoose and may try to stick you or whack you off the mongoose. However you can do the same to them.

Mongoose-Naut - The Juggernaut is on foot. The others must try to kill him whilst on mongooses, the juggernaut is still slow however.

Mongoose VIP - The same as slayer only with a VIP for each team.

Mongoose-Land - Teams of two. Each team must try to capture as many territories as possible...on their mongoose. Teams of two only.

Mongoose Assualt - Two Teams with a bomb each. Plant it to win. Times are double for arming etc.

Mongoose Flag - First to five captures wins.

Mongoose oddball - First to 250 points. Teams of two only.

Mongoose King of the Hill - Basically crazy king with bigger hills and mongooses. Teams of two only.
