Competitive Shotput:
A while back, in a fit of boredom during my freshman year, some friends (JLConran07 and my roommate who played as guest) and I were messing around on Valhalla, pushing the fusion coil by the man-cannon into the lift and trying to tag it with a sniper rifle as it sailed through the air.
This gave us an idea, which we set about to make a reality in forge: a halo 3 shotput type game. Eventually we decided to move our shotput to foundry, and we devised a competitive map and game-type.
The gist of it is this: two teams of two start on separate platforms with unlimited sniper ammo. Next to them on their respective platforms is a bomb, and below and in front of them is a pit, filled with fusion coils, where the bomb must be planted (the bomb has the maximum arming time of 30 seconds). A little way in front of the sniping platform, where the original, initial spawn points for foundry are placed, surrounded on all sides by barriers is a ramp with a man-cannon on the end.
Fusion coils spawn at the top of the ramp at staggered intervals, roll down and shoot toward our poor bomb carrier in his death-pit of fusion coils. It is up to his sniper-weilding team-mate to defend him as fusion coils are launched one, two, even three in a row.
To win a round, teams must successfully arm the bomb five times, and there are a total of three rounds.
Enjoy, and give me some feedback too!
