"Bungie controls everything. You have no rights. Play nice."
For the last time its TURRETS not TORRENTS. A TORRENT is either a peer to peer file sharing protocol or a violently fast stream of water. A TURRET is a self-contained weapons platform housing guns and capable of rotation. And TURRENT isn't even a word.
Map:Fortress
Map:Gloom and Doom
Game:Contamination
This map variant of Sandbox has the humans inside a Fortress at one end of the map, and the Zombie starting point in the crypt. Zombies spawn on one end, with a sender node on the other. The zombies run from the crypt to the human base takes a little over 30 seconds, which is how long the humans have to gather up weapons to prepare for the zombie onslaught. Using the contamination gametype is recommended. Humans start with magnums, but have the option to pick up shotguns, sniper rifles, BRs, rocket launchers, or turrets. Two missile pods are inside the base as well. The base's main entrance seals after 30 seconds, leaving only two small access doors that can only be traversed through crouching, though clever zombies will find other ways into the base. Zombies are tougher that humans, and can take two rockets before dieing. The zombies respawn not in the crypt, but inside the zombie base. Only the initial run takes 30 seconds. After that, the zombies spawn much closer to the base.
Gloom and Doom is the same as Fortress, but with the addition of the gloom filter. I recommend this map as it has more of a zombie feel to it. The link to Fortress contains a wall of text containing the back story of the map.
Map:Millennium Falcon
Game:Death Star
Built in the sky bubble of sandbox, this map attempts to recreate the escape scene from Star Wars: A New Hope. Defenders spawn inside the Millennium Falcon, while attackers spawn in the "Death Star." The Death Star can send waves of four "TIE Fighters" (AKA banshees) at a time, and once destroyed they respawn quickly. Those not in a TIE can fire the Death Stars defenses (Sentinel Beams) at the escaping Falcon. TIE Fighters beware, the Falcon is equipped with several Turbo-lasers (Plasma Cannons), Proton Torpedo (Missile Pods), and even Ion Cannons (players spawn with plasma pistols). A trip mine and a bubble shield suspended by a weapon holder act as the comm dish for of the falcon, but are completely usable. The trip mine floats on the sky bubble to hit low flying TIEs, and the bubble shield acts as a temporary boost to the deflector array.
The game variant is a modified King of the Hill. The crew of the falcon must stave off the TIEs long enough to enter hyperspace (get to 100 points), 1 point for being in the hill, 1 for controlling it, 5 for each kill. After 1 round, the teams switch sides and do it again. If the TIEs earn 100 points, the Falcon is recaptured by the Death Star. Also, don't try to just hide in the Falcon, TIEs can board you if you're not careful, and can also shoot into the ship via the openings for the plasma turrets. The Game is highly recommended, though team slayer works as well.
NOTE: Due to my lack of knowledge about spawning at the creation of these maps, only red and blue teams are supported on Millennium Falcon, and only Slayer and KotH varaiants as well.
Fortress should only be used for infection game types, and does not support any others. V2 will support one bomb, one flag, and possibly territories.
