Cloud City. One of my first created maps. not that symmetrical and perfectly flat level and all that but everyone i have had play on it thus far has actually enjoyed it.
For use with Game Variant Cloud

consists of several bases floating high in the clouds for you and all your buddies to engage in a great team battle composed of ranged weapons. Sniper, Laser, etc.
mainly created for team play.

My remake of WarLock in Foundry, will be updating when I get Sandbox but for now this is fun. Not exact but i spiced it up a little.

WarLock 2.0

Best to play with MLG Team Slayer

"Bungie controls everything. You have no rights. Play nice."

For the last time its TURRETS not TORRENTS. A TORRENT is either a peer to peer file sharing protocol or a violently fast stream of water. A TURRET is a self-contained weapons platform housing guns and capable of rotation. And TURRENT isn't even a word.

Map:Fortress
Map:Gloom and Doom
Game:Contamination

This map variant of Sandbox has the humans inside a Fortress at one end of the map, and the Zombie starting point in the crypt. Zombies spawn on one end, with a sender node on the other. The zombies run from the crypt to the human base takes a little over 30 seconds, which is how long the humans have to gather up weapons to prepare for the zombie onslaught. Using the contamination gametype is recommended. Humans start with magnums, but have the option to pick up shotguns, sniper rifles, BRs, rocket launchers, or turrets. Two missile pods are inside the base as well. The base's main entrance seals after 30 seconds, leaving only two small access doors that can only be traversed through crouching, though clever zombies will find other ways into the base. Zombies are tougher that humans, and can take two rockets before dieing. The zombies respawn not in the crypt, but inside the zombie base. Only the initial run takes 30 seconds. After that, the zombies spawn much closer to the base.

Gloom and Doom is the same as Fortress, but with the addition of the gloom filter. I recommend this map as it has more of a zombie feel to it. The link to Fortress contains a wall of text containing the back story of the map.

Map:Millennium Falcon
Game:Death Star

Built in the sky bubble of sandbox, this map attempts to recreate the escape scene from Star Wars: A New Hope. Defenders spawn inside the Millennium Falcon, while attackers spawn in the "Death Star." The Death Star can send waves of four "TIE Fighters" (AKA banshees) at a time, and once destroyed they respawn quickly. Those not in a TIE can fire the Death Stars defenses (Sentinel Beams) at the escaping Falcon. TIE Fighters beware, the Falcon is equipped with several Turbo-lasers (Plasma Cannons), Proton Torpedo (Missile Pods), and even Ion Cannons (players spawn with plasma pistols). A trip mine and a bubble shield suspended by a weapon holder act as the comm dish for of the falcon, but are completely usable. The trip mine floats on the sky bubble to hit low flying TIEs, and the bubble shield acts as a temporary boost to the deflector array.

The game variant is a modified King of the Hill. The crew of the falcon must stave off the TIEs long enough to enter hyperspace (get to 100 points), 1 point for being in the hill, 1 for controlling it, 5 for each kill. After 1 round, the teams switch sides and do it again. If the TIEs earn 100 points, the Falcon is recaptured by the Death Star. Also, don't try to just hide in the Falcon, TIEs can board you if you're not careful, and can also shoot into the ship via the openings for the plasma turrets. The Game is highly recommended, though team slayer works as well.

NOTE: Due to my lack of knowledge about spawning at the creation of these maps, only red and blue teams are supported on Millennium Falcon, and only Slayer and KotH varaiants as well.

Fortress should only be used for infection game types, and does not support any others. V2 will support one bomb, one flag, and possibly territories.

Basketball

you can have fun as 1 personor 2,teams of 1-4 players. adding an extra person as a ref (score keeper) wont hurt either, but it is not mandatory.

it is stationed on foundry, because its the best to make into an "arena". there are 2 "nets" straight across from eachother. the goal is to get 5 points by "shooting" the soccerball into the "nets" using the grav lifts and man cannons aimed at each. this is not my final design, only something quickly put together because i had no friends online at the time to test it :(

the game variant to this is also named basketball, so as to not get confused. the variant makes everything come together, because of how the goals for assault are set up. this variant allows for the sarting points that can get the game started. there is no time limit because the goal for assault can not be comepleted. also there are no grenades, only an ar, and damage is set to 0%. its basketball, not slayer. if your on offense then you score on sign b. defense scores on sign a. offense is home team defense is away.

the grav lifts allow for a "slam dunk" while the man cannons for the "3 pointers" however each sink into the net only counts as 1 point.just needed to give an example to see how the setup should be imagined. i found it easier to push the soccerball onto the grav lift then ar it into the net, but deciding to use the ar or not is up to who's playing. i wouldnt try to go onto the man cannon with the ball. might not turn out like it should.

the link to the map is here:

http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3f ileid=68920792

the game variant is part of the set.

so download, aim, and enjoy.

any feedback to how i can make his map better, or ideas to put onto a different map for up to 16 man teams, would be appreciated. thank you for taking the time to read, and hopefully, play.

Pardon my ignorance, but I haven't used bungie net since foundry, etc. came out. So I'm a bit lost in the site update.

Am I missing something or has it become incredibly hard to publish your maps?

Where did the 'publish to forums' option go - i can no longer see it in my fileshare.

For that matter, where is the forum for advertising your maps? Is this thread the only place? How does one get one's maps out there for people to see and rate?

I've searched all day and can find no guide to gettin your maps noticed, or even info on how to post them to a forum - there is simply no publish option in my fileshare!

Any help appreciated, I must be missing something.

bratman, you need to go to your fileshare and the map you want to share and add a tag. whatever tags you enter is what the file search will allow it to be found under.

To Fear... Is to be challenged by oneself

If you enjoyed Star Wars Battlefront II, you might like my map, entitled Necro-space!!!

It's fun for Slayer and Team Slayer. (Territories, Flags, and Bombs are still a work in progress.)
Basically, a map designed for aerial battles and sniping, located in the Sky Bubble of Sandbox. The map uses mostly Hornets and Banshees but also composes of two Scorpion Tanks, situated so that they can be used as anti-air turrets. Recommended for 8-10 players at most. There are three Spartan Lasers and abut 3 Missile Pods. If you spawn in a position that does not have a Hornet or Banshee, you can use the teleporters. These will randomly send you to any of the other Banshee Islands or the center Turret Island.

Entry to the Spartan Laser landing pad requires that you either land with on them with a Hornet or drop yourself off with the Banshee. Consequently, you will more than likely lose your vehicle either way, as that is the price for power. There is one other place to get a Spartan Laser. Above one of the Scorpion Tank/Turrets, you will notice a structure resembling a small spacecraft. On each of its wings, you will find a Spartan Laser. Again, you may land on it with the Hornet. (But in this case, it is not recommended that you drop off with a Banshee). Another route to this area is via a secret teleporter, hidden within one of the dilapidated tube-rings. I'll let you be the judge of how to access the the teleporters. (In essence, you will never spawn anywhere near a Spartan Laser.)

Game Variant recommended is SPaCe, created by yours truly. Weapons are the Energy Sword and Sniper Rifle. Low Gravity is emphasized to give the illusion of absent gravity.

Again, the Link to the map is Necro-space

Pictures anyone? =D

Join the SIP now! were a fun and active community that play games the way theyre meant to be played. make friends, have fun and be part of something special! The Spartan I Project

i have some sandbox variants that have been getting some attention
Skybase
Abyss
Crypt
Moonbox and Moonball
Skybase is an enormous 6 to 8 man team airborne combat map designed for CTF, Assault and slayer. the only way to get to the other base is to use the hornets to transport teammates to the enemy base and capture the objective. the balance of power is not in favor of the aricraft however, as heavy weapons (Spartan Laser, Rocket Laucher and Sniper Rifle) dot the map. Central islands are in the middle, and to either side and also have weapons to top up if your low. overall, on this map, charging with a banshee or in general on your own is an utterly futile gesture. as the enemy will dig in if they have to. the lighting is also darkened by the gloomy FX, so its not too easy to spot and shoot down the enemy.

Abyss is an Infection (but soon to be KoTH and Assault too) map with a central structure for the humans to defend and teleports encircling said structure for the attacks to attack from all sides. again lighting is at a low here, and zombies can effectively hide in the shadows and assault whenever they want. the teleports are raised and cant be camped without using a grenade, and to do that is suicide. The ctructure is well lit by a blue light hovering over the centre of it. so humans are exposed, but have light to see by. the zombie hive is impregnable. period. so no spawn killing.

Crypt is an AG (all gametype) map also set in the underground cave. it has 1 base and lots of cover and plenty of weapons and equipment to use all over the place. and is especially fun in slayer, Team or FFA. the base is multi tiered with the ground level holding plenty of cover and coridors its also where the objectives are. the mid-level is where alot of the combat takes place, with clean lines of sight and the sword spawn in an exposed area in the middle of the base, the top level is a defensive position designed to allow snipers a good view of the map to hel pdefend. unfortunatly for them, the sniper spawns at the other side of the map. so camping isnt an option here.

Moonball and Moonbox operate as a pair. Moonball is the gametype. Moonbox is the Map. its basically grifball with no damage. low gravity and hammers. and killballs in the corners so you can kill, but only with the killballs and assassinations.

sorry for the long winded presentation. but it helps to be thorough :)
hope everyone enjoys them!

Map Variant:
Air Citadel

Pictures:
The Air Citadel

Citadel Front/Top

Citadel Bottom/Back

Locked Down Base

Brief Description:
It has a large, multi-level, well-constructed floating base, and a starting point ground supply base that is completely locked down except for a teleporter (to trasport to the floating citadel) and of course the usual standoff unlockable gate.

Once out of the gate, there is a man-cannon angled up to the citadel's hangar bay. As a human you have to time the jump well (so the teleporter is the easier option), but as a zombie, the low gravity makes the cannon jump much simpler than an attempted assault on the teleporter within the locked down ground base. It's designed for infection, but would be great for other asymmetrical games too. As I mentioned, humans spawn in the locked down ground base, while zombies spawn in an open base opposite the map.

Weapons are well-balanced, and the air citadel is equipped with 2 banshee hangar bays, 2 escape pods, and 4 levels for integrated combat. The ground base is supplied with everything you will need to survive, including 2 mongooses ready to tear out once the gate is unlocked.

Interior

This is a foundry map variant with objective based gametypes in mind. Basically I took the large open part of the map and created a large symetrical three story base (defenders) with many ways to access the inside which takes nothing away from the great setup for defense. On the half of the map with the big wall and the catwalks (Attackers) I opened up the door between to two sides so the troops can rally and also set up some extra elevated cat walks with turrets to provide covering fire for the storm. Also put up wall defenses at the end of the built in large wall to provide defense and to better secure the attackers base of operations.
Both sides have been provided various weapons including Sniper Rifles, Battle Rifles, Energy Swords & Shotguns, and a few various dual wielders. The defenders side is uniquly equiped with the spartan laser on the third flr of the fort as well as a flame thrower in the lower interior level and the attackers have rockets at the focal point of the attackers base of ops. Both explosive power weapons are in areas that will get you noticed so good luck getting there unscathed. Each base has been provided with various equipments that would be necessary to either defend or attack. Defenders bubble shields and regens and attackers with grav-lift for easier access to the upper levels and bubble shields. The third floor of the main base has turrets as well but I can't see these being abused too much considering they would be easy targets for snipers. You never know when a turret will come in handy though.

Although like I stated I created this with objective based games in mind this map would still work perfectly as a slayer match. Also I would like to add that this is amongst my first forge maps and I had a lil trouble working out how to set up the objectives so I left them out. Lol But I had intended the objective to be for one bomb or one flag with the flag spawn and bomb planting area on the third level at iits pinnacle which is the cage...you can't miss it.

I would also like to add that if my lack of grammer has offended you, that I am sorry and that I'm kinda rushing through this at work. But I'm sure that its legible lol. Also I know there is a thread for new maps and I will post this there as well but I posted here because this is the first map I posted on this site and would like some positive feedback or constructive critisism. I am not here to be flamed. Thanks for taking the time to give my map a whirl.

Works better with large teams, but will work just as good with teams of 4.

The T00L B0X A place for people who love Forge
The WorkPLace
No, don't call me a hero. Do you know who the real heroes are? The guys, who wake up every morning, and go into their normal jobs, and get a distress call from the commissioner, and take off their glasses and change into capes and fly around fighting crime. Those are the real heroes.

Punishment

After landing, the UNSC's first objective was to gain control of the Covenant energy plant.

A asymetrical map Punishment can be played as Slayer, Assault, Capture the Flag, and KOTH. It is best played with four or more people with a max of eight per team. Red base and Blue base are clearly defined and are visually different so no mistake can be made on where you are on the map at anytime. In the middle the map there is a large structure known as the power station and is a key foot hold to control the map.

This is red base

This is blue base

Sandbox Object Yard
This map is a combination of a canvas, and an object yard. (If you've ever been on a program like Activeworlds, an object yard is the area in which you can see every type of object that you can build with at once.)
That is what I have done here, placed 1 of each type of scenery, and deleted every other spawn node, starting point, etc. so that you may get used to the numerous amounts of scenery objects available in Sandbox.
This map's purposes are meant for inspiration, a visual aid, and hopefully help you familiarize yourself with all the objects' shapes. Since this is technically a canvas, feel free to experiment in the map as well, deleting the objects laid out as you need them.
Hopefully this idea of a canvas/object yard will catch on, as it is both user-friendly and helpful.

Foundry Variant: The Wall
Players: 10-16
Gametypes: Team- Slayer, CTF, Assault, Territories
FFA - Oddball, KotH

The Wall is a symmetric map designed for non-vehicular big team battles. In the middle is a large wall, which includes a sniper tower and most special weapons. On either side is a base that includes a plasma cannon and machine gun turret. Many barriers for each "base" create cover for interesting battles. Please enjoy, and please tell me what you think.

Foundry Variant: Deathtrap
Players: 6-16
Gametypes: Oddball, Slayer, KotH, and most other FFA gametypes
Team: SWAT (no radar) Slayer

Deathtrap is an asymmetrical map that was designed for any FFA gametype. It is essentially a maze with weapons and grenades scattered throughout, along with a few devices. There are no vehicles. To get to the sniper tower in this map, you must use the teleporter somewhere on the map. There are mainly 2 levels, 1 on ground level and the other just above it. The special weapons here are a machine gun turret, 2 energy swords, an overshield, and a rocket launcher. Enjoy and please tell me and thoughts or comments

*Both maps can be played on any gametype, but were created for the gametypes I put in the section.

GT LifeBurnsFaster

Sorcerer is a re-imagination of Warlock/Wizard from previous Halo titles. The map is setup for Slayer, CTF(4 teams), Assault, King of the Hill, Oddball, and Infection. It's set up almost identical to Warlock, with a few changes for smoother gameplay. Weapon spawns are almost identical to Warlock.

good idea oh and i was going to post this so ill just post after saying nice idea.

War Ball
Hi this was I think the first game I ever made it is in foundry and it is basicly the centure no going off to the sides because it is blocked off. there are 3 places the ball can spawn which are all equal lenths from each team.

the 2 on the side are jump get able but the middle one it is easyler to get with a boost, that is why there is a ramp to help you get there well on topic of ramp there is a power up there used to help catch the person with the ball.
Located on each side of the ramp is a mongoose this can be only passengered by ball carrier and can provide a good advantage if used properly. note there are explosives in the middle so watch out! all players start with 2 grenades a sword and grave hammer. the teams should be even and from about 2-4 people a team.
War ball game type and war ball map <-- links (lets hope it works first time doing this) if this fails go to my file share gt is Andrew724 or just go from site.

War ball basic rules normle everything almost its like a death zone.
ball carrier goes little faster 110% i think
custum power up gives bad cloak and 125% speed
game up to 200 point 1 point per sec for ball total score wins 1 point for kill 2 points for ball kill or was it 3 but still it was put in place so ball person will not just run but also try to fight!

unifisule rule: dont just keep spamming nades or it will get really boring use them in moteration! A reminder always say good luck have fun before game and good game after your game. I Andrew724 thank you for your time.(gt is that its in file share incase link fails)

Metal breakfast.

A slightly reworked version of Avalanche.

http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3f ileid=69424122

There are two extra plasma pistols and two trip mines located by the regenerator. The shotgun has been replaced with a gravity hammer and the ghost in the middle has been replaced with a missile pod. One side has Covenant vehicles; a Wraith, 2 Choppers, and a Prowler and a Mongoose for balance.. The other side has a Hornet, a Scorpion, a Warthog, and a Mongoose. There is also a Brute Shot in each base. Better not complain about a lack of anti-vehicle weapons! :P

Best used with 12-16 players total.
