Sky Challenge

This is a puzzle map made in Sandbox's skydome. It's quite a tough challenge, and the void below is very unforgiving to mistakes. Do you have what it takes to solve this puzzle? Any gametype will work, as long as it is normal speed. Although I suggest lowering the respawn time for suicides... you're gonna need it. Alot.

P.S.

The ending is reminiscent of a certain 8bit classic that every single one of you will recognize. Have fun!

I haven't posted on here few a good few years (although I'm still a Halo fan) but I wanted to draw attention to some of my custom maps.

First is the rocket arena, available for both Foundry and Sandbox. It's basically and large open space with lots of power weapons designed for Rocket launcher only game types (although you can make it more interesting with a grav hammer secondary weapon). There's a chain gun with a commading view of the arena but to use it you have to stand on about 30 fusion coils so don't expect to be there for long. There's also a man cannon which launches players into the arena. Skillfull players can score kills while in mid-air. The most I've had on this map is 9 players and it was hectic (there's a film of it on my file share).

The next thing is a remake of the zombie level from Call of Duty. It's not perfect (the floor is a bit wonky) but I think I've got the layout about right. I had to improvise with the weapons slightly (there is 600 years difference between the games).

I'd like to hear peoples opinions on my work. Go easy eh?

Gametypes Available : All except for Oddball, and Assault (However Neutral Assault works perfectly fine)
Symmetry : This is a symmetrical map.
Description :
This is a map that forces players to be weary and watch their step. There are two small bases, one for red, and one for blue, and both are connected to a center raised platform. To get to other areas of the map, you must jump from tile to tile. These tiles are evenly spaced throughout the map, and you must jump from each one to reach your intended destination.

Each team's base includes a banshee, a transport hornet, a spartan laser, a missile pod, four battle rifles, four assault rifles, 4 plasma grenades, and 4 frag grenades. Other weapons, equipment, and grenades, are also assorted evenly on various tiles on the map (Everything stated here was placed with reasonable respawn times, and playtested with these respawn times and were adjusted accordingly).

This map has definately had some really epic, and really fun moments shared with me and my friends. The frequent dogfights with the aerial vehicles, and strategies involving my map that I would've never thought of were just bewildering to say the least. I have had some good times with this map, and I hope anyone else interested here will too.

De-forestation

Map used: Sandbox (ground level)
Players: 8-16
Gametypes: All
Theme: Forest

Comments / suggestions appreciated, especially negative ones!

Concept:
The idea behind this map is a thick forest, with clear, large paths through the trees for warthogs, and also thicker areas, for on-foot only action. It's a good one for setting up ambushes - you can spring from the treeline as a hog drives past on the path, and dissapear into the trees again after.

The 'trees' aren't just arbitrarily placed about, this map took about 7 hours total, and every piece is there for a reason. There are at least three paths from both bases to the middle, and at least three entrances to each base, which I think is important to mention, to give you an idea of how I considered the balance of the map.

Transport:
In the spirit of H2's 'Ascension', there's a lone banshee in the centre of the map, acessible using the man cannon, in the thick forest areas in front of each base. There is one hog per base also. You'll need a skilled driver to navigate the paths through the trees.

Weapons:
There's a laser and rockets just at the treeline surrounding the central clearing. (One side rockets, laser for the other).

Sniper and shotty are around the treeline surrounding the central structure on either side, and there are plasma and fire grenades in the nooks around the central structure.

Closer to the bases in the thick of trees are brute shots/needlers/BRs.

Dual Spikers and SMGs lie near the bases.

Other:
I used the 'gloomy' fx to make it a bit darker and scary.

I have invis hidden in the forest areas (1 per side) for some predator action.

This is fully (hopefully) set up for flag games both neutral and asymetrical, ball games and assault games. In fact, all gametypes should work with this, but I won't know for sure till I do more testing - my friends haven't got the new maps yet.

Play fair & have fun

Fresh out of the wood works: Confinment

Its an enclosed, small map in the sky bubble (incase anyone manages to find a way out, that way they have no where to go). This map is playable with all game variants except infection, however, games on this map should not exceed more than 8 players total (its not that big of a map, nor is it too small). The objective variants have a little twist to them, so dont expect your standard CTF or assualt games when playing here (nothing too out there, just somthing to make them a little bit more interesting). There are three floors consisting of a lower-level, mid-level, and upper tunnels. There are plenty of weapons scattered through out the map.

I made a really cool map using the sandbox basement. Its a giant maze, and its meant to be played with a 1 sided assault variant that I created as well. Its really awesome, I promise.

Forerunner Ship

This map is promptly made for Neutral Flag and Oddball matches. In this map there are a few secrets that I'll post here. One of the secrets makes you a god for a short while. in the back of the map are to ledges that lead towards the middle. If you carefully jump down and hobble your way towards the temporal node, it will lead you to a section of the map that I call "The Path" where a door made of light leads you back to the playing field. However when you return you are a god (for about 90 seconds) This map has no weapons because when I make maps I like to make the foundation. I suggest that when you play this its fiesta style. *This map was made so what ever weapon you spawn with will not dominate and levels the playing field.

Actually I listened to the audio and he said something about the body rewarding social interaction because is was necessary to survive... well so was the appendix, and now all the appendix does is explode and kill you.

With the new map, Sandbox, I was able to create an Axis Zombie variant for Halo 3. This includes a map and gametype which accurately mimick the gameplay found in the CoD: WaW Zombie game.

Map: DON'T FALL

DON'T FALL is a symmetrical map made for 2-16 players. Team slayer is the preferred match to play on it and the map can really get fun if default weapons are replaced with grav hammers.

There are three elevated platforms on this map, accessable via a transporter in the middle of the map. Each platform has a power weapon on it and once a team has control of these platforms they can really control the flow of the game. The map is balanced weapon wise and for those advanced strategists, you can blow up the fusion coils in the middle sides to possibly catch your opponent by surprise and get some sweet kills out of that. The map is a lot of fun, and I am working on a v2 version with merged walls for an extra crisp detailed look. But for now, try DONT FALL, you will have lots of fun, and remember don't look down.

The map is called Last Refug3, and it goes with the varient Zombie Refug3

details about Last Refug3:
Tower Lazers are blocked, so you can roam freely throughout the map. The zombies spawn outside the map with power-ups to assure passage to where the humans will be.

The humans spawn in front of a giant tower, in which they climb up, find a sniper, maybe a rocket launcher, and make their stand. The humans spawn with a battle rifler and a shotgun, and mongeese are set up all around the map to make awesome exploration into the hidden areas of sandbox. Zombies spawn around the perimeter of the Tower Lazers

In addition to the tower, are 2 outposts, with spartan lazer spawns and mongeese.

Next to the tower is a structure lined up with fusion coils to add fun flips and even MORE fun flips riding the mongeese.

With a little secrets thrown in to add more surprises to the map, it makes an awesome infection map for any party with at least 5 players.

The only flaw is a mal-spawn in the crypt, but i made it so you spawn into a killball, so its only a 4 second delay time from your gameplay if that happens.

Sanctuary Ruins

A sandbox map that closely represents the original Sanctuary, built on the gound level. Great 4v4 map for CTF or Team Slayer. Jump from R2 to R3 and all comptetitive aspects remain true to the original. There was no way to put walls around it, as i have reached the 640 object limit in forge (meaning even free objects cannot be spawned) Let me know what you think

Aerial Conflict

It's basically just an awesome team slayer brawl-in-the-air kind of map, the bases aren't identical but the only difference is the starting rooms, one is a diamond, one is a square shape, not that big of a deal. It's pretty self explanatory in the description, it's a team slayer map, that could be edited for CTF, or some Bomb type variant.

Map wise, there are two bases, and a central light obelisk, that serves as nothing but a mid point, or a safe bail out zone. As opposed to the obelisk, there are multiple "bail out" zones that can be the difference of living when you bail out, or falling to your death, all things aside, it's a pretty cool map

Game progression wise, as the game goes on kill balls pop up in random bail out zones at around 30 second intervals, as well as man-cannons, (same intervals as the kill balls) that will fling any unfortunate player into a kill ball if they land on a certain bail out zone.

Base defense wise, at the starting point, there is a Tele-pad that leads to either a Scorpion or Gauss Warthog to eliminate any potential enemy base saboteurs.

And finally, each base has it's own anti-air armory right off the start.

The Factory, A new spin on Foundry

This map variant is ideal for CTF or Team slayer with anywhere from 4 - 10 players. It is a completely symetrical map on Foundry that places all power weapons in the center of te map. Placing the weaker to stronger power weapons nearer to farther away from each teams spawns. The weapon placement on the map is completely identical, so if your familure with your side of the map the other side will be a breeze. there are to Mongooses on the map that spawn in each teams respective sides.
Players: CTF=4-10
Team slayer=2-10

Paintball

Paintball is a map on Foundry. It has many places of cover and is a great map for paintball games or just regular slayer or infection games. It includes trucks, forklifts, walls, wire spools, barriers, windows, and sooo much more. You should definitely give it a try.
