We keep getting told that Halo2 is going to be using some really original ideas on xbox live which nobody has ever tried, and made the most of, on other Live games, to make it feel as if you are playing in the same kind of atmosphere as a LAN game, with everyone at home. I've been trying to think what could they possibly do that other games havent triied yet? How can you make it feel more like a LAN game? Will it be by using in-game options to do with the communicator...will it be something to do with the lobby screens before and after rounds? Maybe something to do with video communication(web cams in lobby?) I dont know! Does anyone have any ideas of what new things on Live would create the results they are going to have on Halo2 online?

Good question..?
I think the webcam idea seems kindof unlikely, since it really could only be in the lobbies and stuff, sortof pointless, but I'm sure they're gonna make a lot of good voice features, like, lets say, when you kill someone on the other team, they can hear you and you can hear them until they spawn, for taunts and crap. Maybe special vehicle chats as well, with a quick toggle between team and vehicle option like lets say clicking in the left thumbstick, I mean, its not like it does anything while in a vehicle anyway, lol.
Who knows, so many possibilities....

yeh i think the ingame communication must be the most likely thing, like taunts and stuff...its just they make it sound like its something completely original that it would be more than just things like that. oh well, only half a year left and we'll see for ourselves...

ps. It would be funny if they had a "Master Chief voice mask"...although that would probably just get annoying like all the others after a few games.

Yea they'll probably figure some other real cool thing out, but who knows...
Oooh, wait, heres another thought, someone that was at E3 playing the demo said there were memory cards in the controllers with the player name written on it which was very useful because you knew who you were and everything. Maybe they'll have something similar, where you upload your player to the mem card, and then just plug it in at a friend's house or LAN party and you get your player instantly. I think that would be kinda cool for people who have lots of LAN party's.

LMAO @ your edit. Hahahahaahahahahahaa
