Welp, if I have to choose, I am gonna go with Two Betrayals. You pretty much get the whole shebang there. Covies, Flood, battles against multiple vehicle types, inside, outside, tight quarters, expansive areas. The battle for the last Banshee that you need is a blast, there are so many ways to approach it, it never gets old. Sometimes I will die on purpose before a checkpoint just to re-fight it a different way. All in all, I just feel that level has the widest variety and encompasses the best of the gameplay styles. That is one of my favorite levels to use without ever driving a vehicle (although ignoring the Scorpion on AotCR is alot of fun as well, that following section of terrain, not using a tank or ghost, whew, yikes, not easy on Legendary! But the battles after, without the tank are a blast on foot!). Y'all be good now, or don't get caught, one of the two!

You're completely right. Lol, it's awesome to see the Flood and Covenant fight each other in a huge environment, and it's dark too, which adds to the coolness.

Epic level. That part where you exit the big tunnels and see the Covenant fighting tons of Flood. Fun.

Love you Bungie!
Still playing Halo1 Custom Edition!

I guess Halo 1 was Totally epic. Each and every part of it. From the beginning to the end.

Be it the POA's preparation for war, the great lifepod escaping, the Assault on the T&R , Silent Cartographer's beach head but also the unique 343 guilty spark with it's overwhelming tense atmosphere... with the grand finale...

That's a great level, but I have to give the edge to Assault on the Control Room. All of Halo1's campaign was great. Blows 2 & 3 out of the water.

Two Betrayals is an epic level. So many good points, the initial escape, the banshee dogfights around the huge coloumn tower thing, the bit where to exit the tunnels and the music plays. The music makes Halo, it's just so damn good. When the flood comes, it is so tense and epic, there's only two of you, amidst a huge battle of flood and covenant. It's really tense, and you feel like you're struggling for your survival, each step towards escaping the ring is exciting and thrilling. And to round it up with the Maw, 2nd best level, just such a brilliant ending. I feel the campaign only gets going when you meet the flood, it's so tense in the room watching the video clip. Halo is just such an epic game.

I loved that level because every single "race" was fighting each other in a battle royal...

Humans vs. Covenant vs. Guilty Spark vs. Flood

THAT is awesome.

Assault on the Control Room was always my personal favorite but only because I remember Two Betrayals always turning into a real pain in the ass on Legendary. I'd say it's definitley one of the best levels on the game and difficulty wise second only to Truth and Reconciliation.

I'd be running through some CE right now if my TV wasn't broke.

"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bull-blam!-, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you."-Lemmy of Motorhead

i belive shhave funzes suppos

Yes, I'm the guy who had the Flood admit to being furries.

It's a good level, except on Legendary. Your only option then is to run through most of the fights.

I love that level simply because you have everything at your disposal at that point. Especially the shotgun. Before this I've eviscerated Covenant Elites with every gun except for the shotty and rushing in and dropping multiple Elites on Legendary close range really changed the pace of the game when I usually hang back and chuck nades and pistol them from a distance. I especially loved the sniping opportunities, Banshee dogfighting, and watching large scale battles unfold before me with so many options at my disposal.
One time i looked behind me and flood were there so i screamed at the top of my lungs and just turned the game off.
I've jumped back in my seat at times when Flood pounced on me from out of nowhere but scream and turn off the game? Let me guess...you were like 7 years old when you first played the game?

Here's to you, Bungie. 7,777 Covenant Heads on my spear.

I would gladly play it if I wasn't so damn creeped out already by the level 343 Guilty Spark

Dude, remember Star Fox 64? When I was really young I could always beat the game up to the point you fight Andross, because I was scared to fight him so I asked my brother to beat him for me.
