It's looking like a good possibilty. At the end of First Strike *spoiler (though it shouldn't be ;) ) There are 4 spartans left + linda. FoR left off right before Halo, so I don't see any reason why this won't be nearly the same. They could have just killed off all the other spartans, but they made a point of him listing the KIA, and MIA. Plus, shoemaker, all the levels will be at least 5 times as big as AOTCR. 5 minutes I think not.

the books arent made by bungie. this is the way an author sees it. 4 spartans left is so it can go with a story.

He wrote it in tandem with Bungie. They were down the hall making it when he was writing. (Figuratively of course). He consulted them on the story, and then added more characterizations(sp?), and other things needed in books. Sort of like the Harry Potter books -> Movies. (Yes, I said Harry Potter ;) )

The books aren't made by Bungie, correct, but they were influenced by Bungie for the direction to take. Bungie basically gave Eric Nyuland an outline to work with, where they want him to be when he's done, and he takes over from there (as far as I know). So Bungie still has a say, plus it needs to be approved by Bungie before publication. So I'd say it would seem likely for there to be a 4 player co-op mode (Linda, John, Will, and Fred). Who knows, maybe they'll have something special for it, such as specific goals and abilities for each. Heck if I know. I'd say it'd be cool, or at least entertaining if Bungie does it right (which for some reason I don't doubt because they haven't let me down thus far).

Wow that was unnecessary - Do you try looking around to start problems? I stated thus, it's perfectly acceptable and works within the correct usage of English grammar. It's syntax is correct. Sorry I decided to use too big a word for you.
