It's pretty -blam!- that you have to get live to get Foundation... but alas, this is capitalism.

Normally, you were supposed to unlock it somehow. I forget how, but even if you don't have Live, you can still get it.

You unlock it by finding the bungie webmaster and asking for the key.

...How else would they give you DLC?

As it turns out, there's another way to get Foundation. Beat them game, go to the last level, stand over a weapon, and press X repeatedly until it tells you "Hold X to pick up a weapon" in a little pop-up over the rest of the screen(not the blue text in the corner). Pick up the weapon, then beat the level. You can get rid of the weapon, use it, it doesn't matter. You just need it to tell you how to pick it up, then you have to pick it up.

what the hell?

do a co-op with a brand new profile, play the last level on any difficulty, when you get to the shee part, do barrel rolls, finish the level and the new file will have it

Ezol, that's not the only way to do it. You need any training event, you don't need to start a co-op game.

Like ezol said.
Foundation sucks though. If you ask me its not even worth it.
What do you mean by training event?

I like foundation, it's fun to mess around on.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

just beat the game

beat the game. make a new profile (this has to be on co-op). Go to the last level. put it on EASY (you dont have to but it would be simpler). Go through the game until you reach the part when you're about to get in the banshee and have the second player do all the banshee stuff. the left and right rolls and the one that goes up and beat the level. the new profile should have the map. (foundation is too d*** small.)

OR...you can play on a LAN game connected to someone who already has it...that way, it'll download and unlock the level on your game so you can play it.

Foundation on just normal slayer with random weapons is a hoot. So is multi-flag CTF. Make sure you have at least 8 people for either of those, though.

I just beat it on normal. Then I had it. But I still can't believe there is vehicles on that tiny ass map!

Foundation is crazy fun, lots of nostalgia. Try playing Assault with no shields, no weapons on the map, and start with the battle rifle and magnum.
