Ok.

I'm sure it has pretty much been confirmed that there will be a Halo 3. However there are people saying that want it this year, which I can't see the reasoning behind.

I would love to see it on Xbox: Next. Not only that, I would not mind one bit if Bungie took even 5 years to finish the game. I want the final game to be the best it can be.

You hear me Bungie?! No rushing!!!! No matter what the public demands.

What are your thoughts on how Halo 3 should be produced?

i want them to take their time. When its done, its done.
I can see myself playing halo 2 for a long time to come, so aslong as they release new maps and playlists every few months to keep me busy, ill be more than happy.

Hail to the chief, he's the chief and he needs hailing. He is the chief, so everybody hail like crazy

once again, I agree with billstrom. Halo 2 will popular for a long time. Games 3-4 years old are even popular today, especially most racing games

Me too Billstrom.

As long as they come out with new maps and such for Halo 2, I could wait til 2012 for Halo 3.

Every map that they make for halo 2 will mean it will take just as much longer for halo 3 to come out, not that I don't want more maps I just don't think we should demand to many.

They have different people working on different things. Multiplayer Maps for Halo 2 won't take time away from Halo 3 multiplayer maps.

It may be confirmed that Halo 3 will come (it's a no-brainer, and I can't imagine Bungie leaving a story this great), but it's also probable that it will not be their next project. They said it themselves.

oh man...halo 2 has sooooo many glitches and frame rate screw ups....i would have waited another month just so bungie could work out the bugs.
Typically glitches that i have seen:
1. AI not noticing you when you are right infront of their face
2. Firing a bullet with no sound and hereing the sound a split second later
3. Twitching bodies (an ememy will die but theie body continues to flop around on the ground)
4. Invincible Vehicles/Flood (in Metropolis i shot a banshee 10 times with the scorpion and it never died...eventually i just ran away from it)
5. Falling through campaign levels (i'd be walking around in quarentine zone and i'd just fall through the floor to my death.

I think that these glitches are annoying
*Bungie...TAKE YOUR TIME ON HALO 3...RELEASE IT WHEN ITS READY...NOT WHEN THE PUBLIC WANTS IT

They can take their time, but I want them to have lots and lots of d/l content for Halo 2. Or I will get bord of the game fast. All I really want for Halo 2 is new maps. lots and lots of maps.

I don't think it's a glitch when a body twitches in Halo 2, when someone suddenly dies from some kind of traumatic injury (normally to the head) their body begins to convulse as a sort of "knee-jerk reaction" from damage to the nervous system.
I thought that Bungie was trying to provide a more realistic looking kill, I've also witnessed a body start to get back up then fall and go limp, I thought this was another interesting feature.

HAHAH... Was playing Split screen, and Killed someone, their body didn't stop flopping around for quite some time, then eventual stopped in an Upright kneeling position was hilarious and awesome. With one Leg with the knee touching the ground, and the other leg was at a right angle with the foot in front of the body, and the right arm was stuck between the leg and chin which was probably what kept it upright ,and the left arm just dangled there. Best way to die I say...

bungie has maps already for halo 2 so they shud release those and ones from halo 1 without changing them, THE BEST MAPS ARE ON HALO PC, ALL THE PC EXCLUSIVE ONES ARE SO AWESOME, and take their time with halo 3 because with time things like flamethrowers and ATVs…so awesome… can be included (ex: no permanent tattos lol jk, but no fake ones either lol)

Bungie said in the limited edition dvd that they really wanted 2 extra weeks for Halo 2. But microsoft had the final decision so we get to miss out on a few extra-long cutscenes, many bug-fixes and possibly some more maps.

That rag doll physic kicks *donkey*, I shot my friend's bro off a cliff and he did cartwheels in the air with his legs and arms sticking strait out, then he landed doing the splits. Ragdoll adds more fun to the game. Ever played Sci Ops? You can use powers and drop guy on rails and pipes to neuter them. God bless ragdoll physics.

Halo 3 should not be rushed indeed, cause its sounds like quit a few people are a bit disappointed in Halo 2.

I think that they should hurry up because Halo 2 will not have the "staying power" that Halo 1 had. They've "broken the seal" as it were, and demand will now be too much for them to merely sustain future customers with downloadable MP content for very long. This is why my theory that Halo 2 and Halo 3 will be very related and close together is I think a good one. I think they have already been working on Halo 3 for some time along with Halo 2, and that Halo 3 will be released as an Xbox Next launch title. Halo CE is its own story, and in my opinion, H2 and 3 are two halves of the sequel.
I think that the main reason Halo 2 at times seems less smooth and has pop-in and stuff is because Halo 3 was being developed as its other half, which will have a similar graphical look to Halo 2, except more effects, enemies, AI, and stuff that is just a pure horsepower issue. The only problem with my theory is that ATI is doing the graphics card for Xbox Next, so I don't know if my thoughts on a shared base engine is a very airtight theory.
