Whats wrong with Alric? Isn't being the leader of the Nine and the entire army of light good enough. Yes, he needed the Eblis Stone to defeat Balor. In a fair fight Balor would have desimated anyone who rose to fight against him. In the Myth universe trickery is used all the time to defeat opponents. The Watcher set a trap for Mazzarin didn't he, so whats wrong with Alric? He also smacked down Sinis in a duel just after using his Dispersal Dream to crush his forces. Also, when Alric used Balmung, it wasn't just the sword doing all the work. "The tales of Alric's swordsmanship cannot begin to describe what I have just witnessed. He possesses the sword Balmung and wields it with such skill that the magics contained therein sprung forth to strike his enemies down. In this man Soulblighter has truely met his match. " (Myth 2 level 24: Twice Born) I didn't like him as much in Myth 2 as i did in Myth TFL, but that may be solely because he wasn't wearing his cool Avatara clothes.
When I first played Myth, Soulblighter was my favorate. He looked so evil and VII Toast has a point

Soulblighter is the coolest one because of the Craig Mullins artwok on him.
However, the more I got into the story, the more I realized, that although Soulblighter may look cool as hell and he may be the most ruthless, he doesn't have the insane magical abilities that the other Fallen Lords have. He still looks cool and I like the crows transformation, the "big knife on a stick", and just about everything about him. I do feel bad for him at one point though. In on of the description bars over one of the characters in Myth 2 (i think it's a Trow, but I could be wrong) it says that when he demanded that the Trow help him because they helped Balor, they refused and basicly asked "what have you done for us lately." Poor Soulblighter.
I was torn between the Deceiver and The Watcher (perhaps because of the intense hatred they have for eachother); however, the Watcher won out in my book for two reasons. First of all, in the end he won the personal war between them (On level 13 of Myth TFL:Seven Gates they battle, it says "Whatever the case, while the battle raged only a few miles away and we thought the Watcher was coming for us next..." This hints that the Watcher won. Also after that point in the game we hear nothing of the Deceiver. One final argument that the Watcher won "...The Deceiver overreached himself in confronting the Watcher's army with his own. The Deceiver nearly died in fleeing that fight-perhaps did die-..." [Myth GROUPS: Role playing in the World of Myth the Fallen Lords. pg.100]). The other reason I like the Watcher better is that he never had a point where he was or could have conceivably been a "good guy." He has always been an insane evil genius....and he was badass enough to kill Mazzarin.
