It's not a tumor!

I think it is so awesome that alot of you people think that just because someone isnt talking about somehting it isnt happening. "they didnt mention the fixes so they are obviously not even working on them."

Yeah, because i know i announce everything i do. "Hey guys I'm gonna take a dump now" "Hey guys I am taking a left turn off of I-40 now" "Hey guys I'm making a post on a forum now"

Jerks.

I dont worship Bungie but I can realize they have one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, game son the market right now. They deserve some props for working hard. If you naysayers knew a damn thing about bungie you would know that they ARE working on fixes! Halo 2 had a fix for things like melee and some physics issues. Halo 3 (although I have no problem with it) is under a microscope by bungie as well, not just a bunch of jerks on a forum.

And i just tknow that when the fixes get released, instead of hearing "hey they WERE working on it, they arent so bad after all" it will be "the only reason this happened is because we hurt their feelings and we are awesome. Bungie sucks!"

once again, Jerks.

I think the game is superb, besides the occasional glitched headshots, the ghosted plasma grenades, non sticking plasma grenades, or the broken melees. Those things you just have to play through, and maybe will be addressed soon. But for now, im sure as hell not going to stop playing because of a few glitches and cheaters. great game.

i do have a pretty good film of a headshot that didnt seem to have all that much knocking power..haha.

A ten year dream finally realized. I finally have my own computer! Look out Internet and The World; Here Comes Tekknight! (12/22/06)

I have yet to start perusing the Bungie.net boards except to check my stats for the last few years. thus I can't call this a "bad" update. ESPECIALLY since there's SO much more to keep me entertained already in Halo 3.

Halo 2 was so good, and the online setup so nice, (I mean seriously the basic Xbox 360 Live structure mimics Halo 2) I actually got my gamertag years before I got My Xbox 360, I never owned an Xbox, and I kept my GT despite being unemployed and having to play Halo 2 with a Playstation One controller and an adapter. (I'm surprised Microsoft didn't ban me!).

It's good to see that even with such a VAST crew, and probably corporate interference, Bungie pulled through as a team; no like brothers, all passionate to create the art that they love. I hope to one day have that type of amazing experience.

I actually just finally played through the entire Campaign Trilogy for the first time within the last two months. As a lifelong gamer even I was impressed. Great Job Bungie! I wish you all continued success. Oh and since you're all so VERY close to that World Domination goal first mentioned years ago, I ask only that when you inevitably reach your goal, that I be an indoor worker, something in data entry. I'm not cut out for laboring in the mines!

Love, Tekknight

Turning a blind eye to all those people who actually pay your bills for you...Bungie, your days of glory are over.

I and many others have pointed out errors with Halo 3 with no response from Bungie...Then you go and congratulate each other in a weekly update? I call a foul - Excessive celebration in the endzone.

What halo 3 is to the gaming world is a big fat hoax that we all fell for and have no recourse with Bungie except to complain to blind gloating game developers and forum ninjas. Ninjas who are only there to protect the sensitive eyes and ears of those developers by censoring legitimate complaints.

Wow...Thanks for your concern. Bye...

What's funny about the whole melee issue is that in the end, to avoid frustration, you just have to get better at Halo! I mean, it comes down to you being more reliant on your gun and taking the effort to go for the headshot spray, so that by the time you get into melee range, you've dished out more hurt than the other guy. And heres the thing: If you DO go for those headshots, you'll probably gun your opponent down well before the melee is even needed. Go ahead, try it. Stand about 20 feet away from another player and dump an AR clip right into his face. Watch how fast he drops. Yeah, its frustrating to know that you should have had that crazy melee kill in the hallway, that you earned it. But the thing is, those were the old rules. In H3, you really DIDN'T earn it. The other guy was more accurate and skillfull in his weapon discharge, you meleed a person while his friend was also hurting you, or you blindly took more splash damage than you should have. That's really all there is to it.

um...i have an idea for an update whenever you all feel like you want another.

new scenery for forge?
a headlong-like map?

maybe?
just ideas. not nagging about it.

Wow that update was...
...a complete wast of talent. As well as every ones time. I read the thank yous at the end credits. Ho hum! What I want to read about requires some depth. How about we read about what Marty was thinking when he wrote the scary theam? Where do the bungie sound guys get their insperation for the sound effects. What is Frankie's motivation when he is writting the dialog? What is it that Luke is responsible for? Why is so hard to get a weekly podcast out, or a decent weekly update? Is it too imposible to get a videocast?

  • 10.20.2007 1:03 PM PDT

Aww... :) I love reading such comments. Some are really hilarious! xD

Also, if I may say; this site is filled with retards. So many "Thank you for wasting my time Bungie with yet another crappy update!" and "I think the game sucks, therefore so does everyone else, and therefore you, Bungie are cheating us all!"

Seriously, get the -blam!- off the internet and get some chill pills. You guys are so ignorant and pissed all the time.

doesn't matter how much damn splash damage i took, or the fact i am being double teamed. I always get head shots, everytime a shoot. It's only fair that IF I DROP HIS SHIELDS THEN HIT HIM FIRST, HE DIES!! The issue is that this occurs, but his split second later melee kills me instead which is UNFAIR.

Maybe you don't fight at close range too often, but in ranked team slayer games there is ALWAYS close quater fighting. Being able to quickly drop shields and melee for a kill is a necessity.

Get used to it? This is a game, it should be fair. Save your evolutiuon BS for science class. Rules should be fair.

Lars Bakken, your story is wonderful...I'm soooooo...jealous! Must be the Elite in me...AHEM! Well, Bungie, congrats and your welcome for all the NON-Work we did this past development time, its not easy, trust me, to sit by on the sidelines while seeing such wonderful goofness as people ordering Broccolli-Pineapple Pizza and consequensially getting kicked down the stairs, facing the US Military (Gung-Ho boys, but why the heck are y'all in Iraq anyway?) in -CLASSIFIED-, and plotting EVIL things for those wicked and ungreatful souls who will suffer the wrath of SEMI-ALMIGHTY Bungie...

P.S. Bakken, do you think there is ANY hope of Me, the M. E., getting a job with you guys as a 3D Artist in say, 7 years?

P.P.S. The "M" Rating is a misnomer, for all those who feel a pang of guilt...(What kind of Elite are you if you do?)
P.P.P.S. It really isn't easy for me to sit on the sidelines, drawing some other-dimensional entity and pondering how it should look in MilkShape 3D/Blender, or coloring it in PHOTOSHOP 5, OR fiercely snarling on the forums that GMax is going in the trash bin...

-THE MASTER ELITE-

"THE BEAST IS HITHER...THEREFORE, LET US PURGE THIS FOE, AND IN THE LIGHT OF IT'S TRUTH SHALL THESE "PROPHETS" SEE THEIR END!
--THE MASTER ELITE, addressing his warriors before the Last War of Redemption--

Here's the thing though. You know that this new rule exists. And since it applies to everyone, since you both benefit and suffer from it, it IS fair. When you enter into a midrange fight, you shouldnt close the distance and melee until you know for sure that you did more damage to him than he did to you. The correct move is to back up, get cover and regain advantage. If you jump the gun, then its your own neck on the line. I melee all the time, it's one of my favorite things to do. But I try only to use it when I know that it will win according to the new, fair rules.
P.S. please don't bring my low exp into this. My internet connection is gnarly and disconnects me from approx. 50 percent of the games I join. Suffice to say, I cancelled it and will be recieving the hotness soon.

What are you thinking? Do you SERIOUSLY have to be so biased as to THINK THAT THIS UPDATE WAS MADE FOR YOU?! I MUST SAY, MY FRIEND, IF I MAY, THAT YOU MUST NOT HAVE CONSIDERED THOSE UNFORTUNATES AMONG YOU WHO DO NOT OWN HALO 3 OR EVEN A 360! Halo is for all to enjoy for the sake of enjoyment (Or in my case honor and storyline inventions of my own), although I DO have a little criticism, I am silencing it for simple sake of appreciation and respect for those Bungie folks who let out the geek from within them, and spread it like a silent pathogen to the FAR CORNERS OF THE EARTH...

OK...maybe I just flamed a bit...[Pulls out fire extinguisher]

P.S. I am one of those "UNFORTUNATES", but don't get me wrong, I might see something coming over my interdimensional Horizon...

Buy I don't always have a choice. At the higher skill levels ppl often camp or hide. If I round the corner and get attacked I can often jump back while firing at the head. At this point my opponent is running at me. so If I am headshotting him while jumping back and he is attacking I melee him. A split second later he melees me and wins. I dropped his shields AND hit him first, I WIN. NOT.

You are looking at this as if ppl are in an open area and see the oppenent coming at midrange before a melee encounter. I only melee in close quaters. If someone is at midrange I hardly ever melee because I do exactly what you say. I back up and shoot with my midrange weapon. I am speaking of close quater surprise fighting. I drop his shields and hit him first, HE NEEDS TO DIE.

I never brought your EXP into the argument.

Grrrr...update? They vaguely mentioned that cheaters are going to be dealt with. Hopefully, at least they really will be dealt the huge smackdown. I don't care about so-called achievement boosters, or people boosting co-operatively in Social MM but, here's what needs to be taken care of:

Those Pending Banhammering on H3/XBL:
DDOS: Firewalling other players/enemy team, i.e. Forcing you to DNF
Standyby: another form of lag cheaters
Soft-modders: No need to go into detail on this

I was playing a game yesterday, where one or two people were standbying in the game. Fortunately, I still beat them all down and took 1st but, it still pisses me off to no end.

Achievements. Insane yes. And i agree with this guy ALL the way. Bungie Love ya for making one of the funnest ( And hardest God cortana....) Games ever. NOW FIX THE MAULER!

Rather than address any of the big issues the game has they update with a sh1t weekly update of uninformative self blowing rubbish. Some members make me laugh on here, patting Bungie on the back, sucking up to them as if they are best friends. Give us some more info on what you are going to do about the problems with the game (shot latency, laggy games to nearlly everyone outside of the states, joining friends in games without the NAT issue (before anyone says it never happens in any other game apart from Halo). I meen there is not even a mention of any of the problem apart from a small mention about cheating which will not be resolved as they didnt resolve it in Halo 2 even with the promise they would.
