I was just wondering about how bungie says that it's got all the controls figured out, but how are we gonna be able to cope with dual wielding?

Maybe using the d pad to press left and right to swop the left and right guns??? i dunno... any ideas ne1?

Simply put, we don't know yet. But I'm sure Bungie has it down.

Maybe you just shoot and the guns shoot the same spot loike on all the other fps out there.
but thats just my opinion...

I hope, I'm a purist at heart and I am still skeptical about the dual weilding. I just hope Bungie can pull it off and keep Halo the same at its core.

I just hope that they don't make it too hard to select a different weapon in each hand.

I'm sure they've got it sorted though.... COME ON BUNGIE lol

Escape will make me God.

I imagine that once you've chosen to dual wield you're stuck with it until you switch back to a single weapon. Hence, you probably won't be able to pick up new/different weapons in that mode. I cannot imagine how you'd be able to specify which one to drop. Who feels it most likely that either the black or white buttons will be used to switch to dual wielding?

How I think/hope it'll work out:

you can only carry two weapons at once still(for balance).
when you select dual weapons(one in each hand) they function independantly(otherwise how could you charge a plasma pistol) and I bet there will be no zoom function(too unbalanced).
To USe the weapons, the controls will be the same as they are now, right trigger fo rth eright weapon, left trigger for the left hand--just like Halo1, only in Halo 1, the left weapon was limited to grenades only. Both will probably be aimed at the same place, and you'd fired each with it's own trigger. Reloading should be interesting.

There HAS to be a tradeoff, otherwise, other, single handed weapons will be less effective. Either they're souping up the power of the other weapons, or decreasing accuracy.

Maybe you lose the target reticle, or the weapons just become less accurate--makes sense.

Well don't fear about firing the guns independently... Since you can't throw grenades when you're dual-handing, I imagine the left trigger will fire the left weapon.

i'm wondering whether you would be able to carry a maximum of 3 weapons? but only 1 large weapon if that makes sense.

Maybe like storing one small weapon on each leg, and the large one on the back would figure.

The Master Chief emerged from his code. After seeing his dynamically lit realtime shadow, he went back for 9 more months of development.

Behold the power of the Originals, the Gods Axeone-Neurone.

You can carry more than two weapons as shown in the E3 demo. I think the trade off will be no grenades and less accuracy.

Well done... we all know about dual wielding and all... i started this topic to tlka about how we actually thought it was going to work with the controller etc.

Anyway... i doubt the black/white buttons will do it. as they're too small and hard to press for something so important to the game

I doubt that dual-wielding is the same as it was in the E3 demo. For all we know they could've reduced it back to 2 weapons only.

I think this was said in an update but left trigger controls left weapon and vice versa for right. You can't through grenades in dual mode.

One downside to dual wielding is, of course, dramatically increased ammo usage. Things might get very sticky if your bullet hoses run out (or need to pause to reload) at a critical moment...
