Among the community there have been many rumors and speculations about the next Halo game. I think I can shed some light on this. I dont have any ties with Bungie but this information is supported by facts from the Halo Universe. There are 7 games linked to the Universe. Marathon, Marathon 2: Durundal, Marathon Trinity, Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, and the newly announced Halo 3: Recon.
It's called Marathon Infinity, not Marathon Trinity. Second, Bungie has said over and over again that Marathon and Halo are in two separate universes.
Marathon Universe: Pathways Into Darkness, Marathon, Marathon 2: Durandal, Marathon Infinity, and someone once made a statement that sounded like a hint that Myth could be in the same universe.
Halo Universe: Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo: Recon.
This information has been gathered and put toghether by an elite group of thinkers.
This seems familiar to me, as if it were from an old dream, but I can't exactly remember....
There are many of these shield worlds in the galaxy but no one truley knows the purpose of these marvels.
Yes we do. Their purpose is to be what they are called: Shield Worlds, designed to protect their inhabitants from the Halo Array.
They destroyed the planet in fear that the Covenant would take it from the humans. With many more shield worlds out their this was a small victory.
What? Have you actually read Ghosts of Onyx? Did you comprehend it?
I found a hard to find comarison. If you look at the arrival (First non playable Halo 3 mission) and you look at the stars then compare to the stars on the legendary ending of Halo 3 you can see that there is a match.
Prove it.
This part is only speculation but I believe that the flood that were sopposedly killed in Africa survived and destryed the human race. Master Chief survived because he wasnt on Earth. With Traxxus all that remains it defended itself against the flood. Traxxus fought off the flood but some flood managed to lave Earth and roam the galaxy without oposition. Thety destroyed what was left of the covenant and wiped out all life in the galaxy. Traxxus had 241 years to build up a military. Thus Marathon takes place.
Earth was never wiped out in the Marathon Universe. From the ending screen of Marathon 2
It was ten thousand years before fate brought Durandal once again into contact with man.
The Pfhor were but a dim memory then, known only to a few historians and students of Earth's second colonial period. The S'pht had been nearly forgotten as well, and no man had seen a living specimen of their race since the sacking of the Pfhor system by the combined fleets of Earth and the S'pht'Kr in 2881 AD.
When Durandal returned to Sol it was not with the captured Khfiva but in a Jjaro dreadnought he called Manus Celer Dei. What he learned of the Jjaro he told no one, saying only that he had stopped by to assure that Earth did not forget him. Nor will it soon, the way he tied the Guard in knots around Pluto before folding directly into a low-Earth orbit.
So if Humanity was completely wiped out in 2552, how did we sack the Pfhor home system? Why did humanity exist 10,000 years later?
The Pfhor returned to take out Traxxus. By the time master chief reaches Earth (in the future) Traxxus has renamed itself "Durundal."
The Pfhor never reach Earth. Durandal was on the Marathon at Tau Ceti, not Earth.
