1. i made a mistake. i meant 343 guilty spark,not the covenant.
2. the forerunners went extinct in the milky way. kinda see were this is goin? i think the forerunners went to the most nearby galaxy to ours. that one would be the Andromeda galaxy or
one of the two Clouds of Magellean, both of which are in the local group.
3. the forerunners were advanced enough.
4. if you ever looked at the "planetoid" in the center, you see several things that deter your theory. if you look closely at the planet, you see layers of metal and various other technological
stuff (i don't really know what to call it right now) around a softly glowing core. true, there is a crust on the outer shell. i just found out... the ark doesn't just build halos, but shield worlds as well.
i have proven my theory.
please continue to mark my mistakes, if you can.
"Thus I Refute Thee..."
end of strand.
Such arrogance...
You have provided no evidence of either of your two new claims, so I am disinclined to believe your argument that they were "advanced enough" for trans-galactic travel. If this were the case, then why would they not have simply cut their losses and run to another galaxy when the Flood were overwhelming them? Also, it's not a theory, but was CONFIRMED that the planetoid was being strip-mined. I believe it was in an interview with a Bungie employee, but I may be mistaken. I do know that it has been confirmed, but I don't have the source handy.
Also, if YOU look more closely you will see that the planetoid has deep canyons with regularly-spaced "steps" like on the side of a ziggurat. If you've ever seen a commercial dig site the same thing happens.
Further, there's no evidence to either support or debunk your "theory" that the Ark can produce Shield worlds, but even if it could, why would it be? The Halo ring was being created to replace Alpha Halo, but what Shield World was destroyed? Oh and the microdyson sphere in Halo Wars was not a shield world, it was simply a microdyson sphere world used (apparently) as a harbor for ships. If it was a shield world then it would have been inside one of those "slipspace bubbles" that was at the center of Onyx. Plus, if that was what was being replaced, it would have been replaced a looooong time ago as it was destroyed years before the Halo trilogy took place (and the halo trilogy itself spanned about a month or so).
Edit: And when did 343 say the forerunners were extinct? I don't recall that, but even if he DID say it, he only has limited data due to compartmentalization. It's entirely possible that he was programmed with/fed data that was incorrect in order to protect the forerunners should he have been captured by the Flood.
but they were advanced enough. look at the ark it's outside of our galaxy in darkspace. so they could travel to and from galaxies.
