Hey guys I am a huge Halo Fan and I am very committed to different Halo areas. Bungie.net is the best! I have this little piece of Halo with me wherever I go. And no, Halo is not actually pie, it just tastes really good.

I still say that cheif could have gone back in time, because he could have caused the alliance to form in the first place
and when you think about it, it seemed like he kind of expected the replacement halo ring to appear. When the Arbiter said "A replacement, for the ring you destroyed." Chief replies "When did you know." like he already knew, and he just wasn't sure how or when the arbiter had found out.

for reference, here's a link to the cutscene on youtube-
replacement halo cutscene

nope pretty sure he is talking to 343 guilty spark. he assumes he knew about the reconstruction of installation 04 for some time.

I believe this to be the real reason the Guilty Spark helped master chief in hope of getting his ring back. This could also explain why he attacked him when he said he wanted to destroy his ring yet again.

Spark helped John because (since Installation 04 was destroyed) his only function left was to help the Reclaimer. Spark had absolutely no knowledge about the Ark, he had no idea that it was creating a new Halo Ring because he only found out at the end of The Ark (mission).

Reach is total garbage. I'm proud it failed and died. Hope this message gets to 343 and they make a proper game.

Quit competitive Halo, I have acquired something called "having a life". Play it time to time as of now. Some people should also try this thing called "having a life".

He's at Bungie studios asking for a refund on Reach.

Know because he knew about the ark for ever since he mentions it at the end of Halo 2. Also I believe he knew more about the functions of the ark then people knew, which would be why he might have used John so he could get his ring back. Also they did have some common goals. Such as destroying the flood.

Spark knew the Ark existed, but he had no idea what it was, he says it himself that he assumed it was a Shield World but was mistaken.

He did not know that the Ark was remaking Installation 04 until he examines the Cartographer, there was no gain in using humanity to get him to the Ark when he could have gone with the Covenant (who got there first).

It's a pretty well thought out theory, but doesn't anyone think it might be there because Bungie wanted to throw in a little easter egg? Bungie puts a bunch of little things into their games, like the hippo on the shotgun shells, so why not put something from their other games? Also, i think Bungie is getting kind of tired of Halo and are moving on.

Bungie have finished with Halo, they are no longer contracted to make any more Halo media and do not own the IP. 343 Industries are carrying on the Halo universe, there's another 6 books coming out over the next few years (Forerunner Trilogy, of which 1 has been released & Karen Traviss's post-Halo 3 Trilogy). They're also working on a new Halo game, the details of which are unknown, but Frankie confirmed that they will be picking up where John's story left off.

Sounds good then either way all our questions should be answered with the new game. Then we will learn where master chief ended up once and for all.

The final Terminal pretty much confirms it to be the planet the Forerunners fled to once they gave humanity the Mantle.

good theory! there's hope for MC's return cuz halo aint the same without him cuz he's so -blam- epic

Maybe in the next Halo he will show up just to save someone's life at the last minute. Then he would say "Did you miss me?"

I think that would be awesome.

i hate this theory, hopefully the next halo game (frankie said that they were actually working on another one) doesn't have that "universe merging" bull-blam!-, i would be really pissed off, not that i don't like marathon, but i think that that idea is rather lazy and hard to work with...

This is what i think too: halo is a prequel to marathon. It s a fantastic ending to the trilogy really. i loved marathon.

lolno

It has been said countless times that Halo and Marathon are different universes - no not parallel universes, fiction universes. They only reference each other, it is impossible to merge them because Bungie no longer own the Halo IP and Microsoft do not own the Marathon IP.

It's amazing how 99% of the people here haven't read the final Terminal... You'd have your answer then, but no, let's go and make theories about Reach, Onyx, Marathon or anythng else that makes bollock-all sense.

1. That was pretty harsh.

2. You do still make a valid point and I agree with you.

We just shouldn't find out where cheif is or what happens to him because if we do someones bound to be disapointed and we wouldn't have theorys and threads/disscusions about it.

The end is what ever you want it to be.

People said that about the Forerunners, Crytum was released and everyone loves it. Just because a small amount of people are disappointed with something, that doesn't mean that you should stop at it.

Look at Halo itself, not everyone likes it, should it be scrapped simply for that? No, it shouldn't.

The end is what ever you want it to be.

No, it's not. If it was whatever one wants it to be, they wouldn't have shown John drifting towards what is clearly a Forerunner planet and they wouldn't have had Mendicant Bias tell John he's sendng him to the Forerunners.

Correct.

I'm curious of who the heck the enemy will be in Halo 4 and what the heck the purpose would be to go to a Forerunner planet? It just would be weird not fighting any covenent.IMO

Mendicant Bias sent John to the Forerunners to prove he has atoned for betraying them in the Forerunner-Flood war.

I'd imagine (call it wishful thinking) that the Forerunners may be the enemy. Cryptum reveals that they weren't the nicest bunch because of the Mantle, they sent humanity back to the Stone Age after all. I like to think that they gave humanity the Mantle temporarily before they were strong enough to return to the galaxy and take it back, but that's just my hopes.

The Covenant are still very much around, but they're like splinter factions now. The Elites are still at war with the Brutes 6 years after the war.

Yes I figured they would more than likely become the enemy. As for the Covenant... If we are indeed still outside the Milky way... then there wouldn't be any Covies even close to being out that far for any reason. Nor would there be any humans. Taking away the human weapons. And people would become pissed. :/

Btw aj you are like the Halo Guru.
