No I didn't read this, and I don't need to. It's not 100% proof. Bungie can put Master Chief wherever they want. He can be on cybertron if they want. He can be in heaven if they want. He can even be up Frankie's butt if they want. Bungie chooses were he is NOT YOU. This is your theory. It isn't proof.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

About the Master Chief going back in time; there's a level in Halo 1 where Guilty Spark is talking to Master Chief and Cortana (she just reveals that Halo's purpose is to obliterate life). He says, to Master Chief (paraphrased, I don't have the quote on hand),

"Last time you asked were it my choice, would I do it again. Having had considerable time to contemplate, my answer has not changed. (to Sentinels) Save his head, dispose of the rest."
(mission starts with Sentinels firing at you in Halo's control room)

This implies that Master Chief has met Guilty Spark before the Halos were originally fired.

If anybody cares to check this out, I believe it's the cut scene after you finish The Library, and before the next mission starts.

nice try, but you are wrong.

if you are so sure he is wrong then mind explaining what is right?

I have walked among men and angels for three thousand years. Time has no end... no beginning... no purpose.
I wander the earth, seeking forgiveness for my horrible crimes against God and man.
I live to see death, destruction, over the light, but the light cannot be extinguished.
I live in a prison of my own demise.
I am lost in time. -Gravemind-

Wrong... the ark could activat the halos at "superilluminal speeds", not by portal. Also, MC points out at one point that the ark is beyond the rim of OUR galaxy. BTW, I just thought of this, doesn't the planet MC is headed towards look like the one on the MP map Snowbound?

I dunno the ending cutscene on legendary looks like a shield world, perhaps not onyx but another.

Honestly, I think he's not all that far from the Ark. After-all, Cortana stated that "the explosion did a number on the Ark" which means she would had to have visual confirmation, as she wouldn't just make a prediction without evidence. They had to be within probe range.

We have no idea how long the Chief was knocked out. It could have been only a few hours, or possibly a few days.

I say they aren't that far from the Ark. That's just me though.

It could not have beem long since his armor only has a few hours of air in a vacuum, so he would have suffocated.

The Master Chief is not the Security Guard. I believe Bungie has already said that, while there are some similarities, Halo and Marathon are separate. That means no matter how much you may want it to be true, the Master Chief did not go to the Marathon Universe.

Also, if you knew anything about time travel, your "disproof" of the time travel theory would be garbage. If the Master Chief did go back in time, do you think he wouldn't figure it out that, if he was able to stop the Flood in the past, that he'd make a time paradox? And even if he did try to change the past, the Novikov self-consistency principle would prevent the time paradox from occuring, by having the events play out as history dictates despite what the MC did, and then future events could still take place.

And yeah, those thermal images definitely proves he's on Mars.[/sarcasm] Look, I know that Bungie does a lot of stuff for very good and oftentimes cryptic reasons, but is it at all possible they did this just because they needed a planet and thermal images? Not everything has to have some deep, mysterious meaning that's supposed to tie the whole universe together. Is it so hard to just take something as it is and not make a big deal out of it?

So full of hate were our eyes that none of us could see
Our war would yield countless dead but never victory.
So let us cast our arms aside and like discard our wrath
Thou, in faith, will keep us safe, whilst we find the path

I dont like dimesion travels, it's like Mario would show up on a big team battle or if Samus came running along on The Ark

I can't be bothered to read through all of the pages, so I'm going to refer to the front page.

When Bungie say that they are not in the same universe, they do not mean it literally, as though there are two universes.

It is mean that one 'Universe' is the Halo universe where all of the events of Halo happened, the universe is a set of ideas and stories.

And that Marathon happened in a different universe, where all of those stories and ideas are based.

They are different stories.

Your ideas are not founded well, and links to Space Observatories wont make it a fact. IT
is a GAME, it has no real basis in reality.

I really really wish you had found something and this LOOKS all very promissing, but if they really make a new game why would microsoft and bungie split up?

He is outside of our galaxy near the Iris Nebula.

LOL enormously nice found there, i just watched that vid again and in the last cut scene you do see that under their ship somewhere, but then bungie would make a huge mistake.

This thing is mover 1300 million lightyears away, so the picture were getting through from earth is a 1300 milion years old, maybe this thing doesn't even exist enymore!

okay here's the real theory, you all say he's in another universe or in subspace, first how does cortana know then that the ark went boom, she could have only seen that if in the other universes there was another masterchief that did the exact same thing at the same time.
HOWEVER that ain't possible cause then that other MC would have got stuck in the halo universe so the Chief wouldn't have disappeared but switched.
so let's say he stayed in his own halo universe and is just drifting in space, even if that was true nobody knows were and they are certainly not near mars they would have been found definitely!
And last but not WAY not least MC is as good as dead, I doubt a ship split in half can keep him alive in that pod for long.

I have 100% Proof of where master chief is. He's chained up in my shed wearing a gimp mask. Photos coming soon...

The only problem with any of this is the whole 'other' universes plot device. In story lines when you start using 'parallel' or 'multiverses' you give yourself a completely blank slate to work with. The possibilities for stories then become infinite. Facts of the past, present and future of the original universe no longer apply therefore anything you say in terms of the 'other' universe(s) is essentially true so long as you believe what you are saying.

Hmm, wow nice job but I'm still not completely sure. I still think that the planet from the Legendary cut-scene is the planet Onyx though.

The only constant is change. The wise adapt.

For a small friendly community and hopefully a clan if enough people sign up head over to my group: Friendly Faction

Bungie just love to mess with our minds so hardcore. I like the theory. I doubt they'd elaborate it into a whole game though.

Lame pointless. I have 100% Proof where master chief is also. Floating around in space in the larger half of the ship. I know this because i have been shown it in the end of game clip. dont say you have 100% proof as you aren't the writer of the halo story and therefore dont know you jackass.

Nothing is better than gaming through the day, into the night, then back into the day. It's like when you finally push that power button you feel like you've accomplished nothing, but at the same time, you can't stop smiling.
