On most levels (MP) I use the shotgun/pistol combo but when we steg up to the bigger levels like blood gulch I like to trade in the pistol for the sniper rifle and keep the shotgun. I was wondering if I should crank up my sensitivity level which is currently at 5 higher because of the shotty or keep it the same. I tried 10 and it was really hard to pistol snipe and sniping was harder to because the slightest jolt sends your aimer across the screen. The maps I mostly play are BG and hang 'em. Any opinions would be appreciated.

I keep mine at 5. 6 may be a little better for you.

I was just thinking that because I can't snipe at all on 10 but 5 feels comfortable but I think I might want to crank it up a bit for some close range shotty action

the best idea is to just try it.

no one's advice is going to have any impact on what it feels like TO YOU to play on a different sensitivity. Just try it out and tweak it until you are satisfied. Why not start out at 7 and see how that feels. If it's too slow, crank up, if it's too fast, crank down.

I started at around 6, but since then Ive worked my way up to 10. Faster sensitivity cuts down your reflex time significantly. It could mean the difference between a kill or a death. It just takes practice.

They need to let it go up to 11 for Halo 2.

Im fine with whatever sensitivety, I win anyway. Normally though I have it on whatever the default setting for it is. I presume that is 5?

*snicker* I wish they would, just to see how many people get the reference.

"Hey, Master Chief, does this go to 11?"

My advice to you is work your way up to 10. All things being equal otherwise, it is the one with the higher look sensitivity that will get the drop on you. So to compete with those guys who play it at 10, level the playing field and get used to 10 as well :). It just takes practice...especially with the sniper rifle. Think of it this way...how much carnage could you do if you could aim faster with the same accuracy you have now?

Sometimes on a friend's Xbox I've started a new profile to play and forgot to up the look sensitivity. When we finally got into a match, I felt like a damn slug.

I usually play at around 8 because I cant play on 10, it is just too damn sensitive. but I am going to work my way up to 10 because I want to be the best I can be.
