I respect your opinion, I'm probably just going to disagree with it.

=D Phor are Phunny.

Anyone up for it then?

Surely this counts as a community project, if anyone is interested, so it would be better off in the community forum. I may post something there later.

Thinking of something witty to write here since 2004...

Depends if it's a full campaign + multi mod or just multiplayer because the latter would be much, much easier. However Modelling guns could be an issue since there aren't many (actually none at all) large, detailed reference images, so we'd have to go off the basic shape and add our own minor details. If we wanted to make a Marathon security officer biped there's so many images and versions. Do we go off the in-game sprite or Craig Mullin's versions (my favourite), or do we copy the security pieces from Halo 3 and make up the rest of the amour?

Then comes the maps. We don't want just corridor combat and Halo 1's engine may have problems syncing elevators and buttons online.
G4 sunbathing would make a good map I reckon. We could try and remake some S'pht temples and structures similar to the originals but not as blocky. Maybe make it a bit more curved or more ornate with textures similar to those found on the actual S'pht.

Vehicles wouldn't be a good idea (since there aren't any vehicles) and there could be power-ups such as invincibility, cloak and yellow and purple overshields. It wouldn't be too hard to integrate all weapons from all 3 games into it and make it so that no weapons are redundant. It could also be a good chance to add in some Pfhor weapons aswell. Shockstaves and hunter cannons would be a good start.

Might start experimenting with this...
