Hey, does anyone remember me from online. I'm zap. I was the one on the CTF games that would guard the flag and not do too good of a job. I wrote this because I wanted to explain why I suck. I suck for the following reasons:

1. I never played the PC version before.
2. I had a GamePad that wasn't configured anything like the Xbox Halo controls.
3. I never played against so many opponents.
4. I have satilite internet and it is not designed for gaming.
5. The satilite internet was teleporting me randomly around the imediate area.
6. The controler conection kept toggleing on and off while in battle.
7. I suck.
8. I am a sure shot with the pistol and the glitchy responses and the jerky response of the controler left me shooting randomly.
9. My team work skills are good but I am often left without teammates near me.
10.Snipers.

I hope this clears things up. Thank you. See you tonight!

Ok, you need to use a pistol. An assault rifle is very ineffective at long range. Try zig zagging if there's snipers. Oh, and you'll have to get used to that lag buddy. Its almost always there. If you read the sticky post about lag, that should help ya.

here's a hint... don't use a gamepad. Use the mouse, that's what it's for... The only reason I bought my gamepad is because i wanted to learn the controls of the xbox controller w/out my friends constantly fragging me... And also, put away the AR, and switch it to the shotgun for protecting the base on blood gulch. It is much more effective for close combat...

Right, I find the mouse and keyboard perfect for Halo, to the point where I'm no longer good at using an Xbox controller.

exactly Swift, I was good with Xbox controller when I didnt have a decent computer to play Halo on, cuz I played at my friends house with an xbox, and so that was the only Halo I had ever played. Then I got a computer and Ive been playing Halo PC, and CE for 6 months, and now when I play Halo and Halo 2 on xbox, I fuking suck. So amen to the mouse and keyboard.

Right, like everytime I use an Xbox controller I keep crouching by accident because I'm so used to pressing down keys, and I keep dieing.

yeah but the liberal control stick on the game pad decreases my accuracy drasticly and this kind of lag is like 1600 ping!

Your right spartan, I try to use the shot gun as much as possible but the mouse moves way to fast and using the keyboard... Even the thought gives me a headache!

And another problem, I'm not exadurating but I seriously belive that I have a a disadvantage to evryone else. In the Rockets games I shot someone with 2 rockets and melee them and they still don't die. They shot me with one rocket about 6 feet away and I die imediatly. Whats with that!

I know where you lot are coming from with the keyboard and mouse, but I just can't do it! With the keyboard and mouse, I'm dead in seconds... Now if I use the XBox controller instead, you've got a problem!

Heyyo,

Keyboard and mouse? hah! You don't even need the keyboard to do good, I binded some move keys to the extra buttons on my mouse! hehehe! I can whup soo much just 1-handed baby!!! :)

Now, rocketlauncher? just like anyother weapon, aim for where they're GOING, not where they are. That makes a big diff.

Pistol, pistol, pistol. Best weapon in the game, period. I've taken down countless banshees, ghosts, and warthogs with just this mighty little peice of pwning goodness. REMEMBER, when killing vehicles, aim at the people INSIDE it, NOT at the vehicle itself. If you aim at the vehicle and die? that's why. If ya smoke the people inside, it deals damage directly to them, if ya hit the vehicle? the vehicle absorbs a good portion of the damage, making the pisol pretty weak against vehicles... at close range? I like a good plasma rifle, cause it stuns then, so they can't turn good n' stuff, so then you just need to zap n' straffe and they're as good as dead. For taking down vehicles the easiest way is to throw a stickey onnit, and shoot off a few shots into that vehicle, and at least 1 person inside will die right away, others with a few more shots. ;)

So yeah, lead shots, learn to pwn with all guns, and just whup on n00bs on the bungie servers until you get good enough to try some clan servers n' whup them too. ;)

thats probably why i'm not winning. All I go against are clan battles. I usualy get as many kills as I die so thats better then nothing.

Yea, plus as I've said before, lag, lag, lag. Part of the reason is becuase you have to put into what I call the "lag factor," which is adding a few inches in front of the person to kill them because of the lag.
