Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

If you are a good member you will be complimented and appreciated if you aren't you're ridiculed.
Hardly. Bungie.net is nearly void of compliments. The only non-member to have ever complimented me was Evilcam, and that was several months after the event he had done so for. Of course, there was the couple of stickies I had, but those aren't exactly compliments.
Did you by chance read Pezz's post here?

Once again, the problem is with trust.
The community is very hard to trust in these times, so many alt accounts has ensured that even the best members are leading double lives. Trust me (oh double standards!), we know about it.
We really are caught between a rock and a hard place; be overwhelmed or employ someone who might cause more damage than good.
According to him, at that time, we aren't to be trusted. Why should anyone compliment or endorse a person or group they don't trust?
We don't need a "witty" title over our names to point of the morons from the members with some intelligence.
I wrote a longish post telling why on the fourth page of this thread (first of my posts south of BerserkerBarage's essay). The first thing a new member does when they join this site is visit the Halo 3 forum. There, they find some funny quote where someone insults another member. Going to another thread, they find a more funny quote of the same nature. Pretty soon, they want to join in on trying to out-do other members in the insulting game.
If the community had a way of highlighting, or advertising, what would be considered positive and constructive behavior (such as one whose title of "member" is written in red and/or whose text is pure white instead of the grey of normal members), they would be drawn to them (like we are drawn to the salmon or gold text) instead of the insults. They'll hopefully be more interested in trying to achieve something that everyone can notice everytime they post, rather than constantly trying to out-insult other posters in each thread they visit.
We've talked about why moderators can't post like normal members; too often they are looked at as being on the "inside" of game production. This is why, as I've stated at least twice now, we need "members to educate members".
If you wish to look at my thoughts here and elsewhere as more attempts at whoring myself to get a special title, then go ahead. Your support isn't necessary, though it would be appreciated.
