Was the xbox control kinda influenced by halo a little? The buttons and triggers are in just the right place for halo but any game made after the xbox's release are somehow different.

It seems like it was, the two just work together so well. Look at the PS2 they didnt design a controller with fps in mind and it shows bigtime. P.S. Anyone tried to play halo with the steel batallion controller yet?

you can get SB by going to any local gamestop and putting down a $50 deposit, they'll order it for you.

Yeah, the "duke," "laptop," "fatty," or whatever you want to call it is perfect for halo. I'm actually quite sad that Halo 2 will be designed based off of the S because the fatty is PERFECT. If you curl your right index finger over the face buttons and use your right middle finger for the trigger, you can reach EVERYTHING and never have to leave the thumbsticks.

That sounds painful.

Steel Battallion is a sequel to Mech-Assualt, I'm pretty sure...
But it goes along the same line. You get in a mech, destroy stuff.

Also there is also a special controller you can get for it... absolutely huge...
I think the price of it is $100.00 or $125.00 Canadian.

Steel Batallion is definitely not a sequel to Mech Assault. Steel Batallion is an immersive, demanding, and hardcore mech game. Mech Assault is a completely different game from a different publisher and different developer with completely different mechanics.
