Its been a great year around bungie.net this year. With the release of halo 2, it made the year end great.
Heres a list i compiled of events that happened over the year on Bungie.net.

Sometime In January - Frank O'Connor Is Hired to work at Bungie as a Content Masseur for Bungie.net. Why is this Important you say? Well because he changed this Community in a way we will never fully understand. This Man is known as Frankie

January 16, 2004 - The Bungie weekly update is restored, After it Vanished. It used to be a weekly inside look at the happenings deep inside Bungie Towers. But Now it was revamped to meet Halo 2 And the writing styles of frankie. And So Mister Chief was born!

April 13, 2004 - The New Bungie.net was released. This caused bungie.com to suddenly disappear. Millions flocked to the new site and were shocked by the detail and artwork bungie put into it. And the Forums were amazing, even though they seemed a bit odd at first, it helped this site become halo 2 compatible. We had Xbox live feature integrated into the site. That week we also got tons of goodies.

May 13, 2004 - E3 starts and we get exclusive info on Halo 2. We Learn of the release date and see some amazing videos. We also hear about the limited Edition Halo 2 with it dvd. Anticipation grows on the worlds most wanted game.

May 25, 2004 - The 7th Colum is turned off. Chapter Creation is brought to a stop. The Old 7th colum was slowly rotting away, and they wanted it to stay alive. New Forums were available.
New Mombasa, The Library, Voting Booth, The Classifieds, The Flood were added to the list.

June 14, 2004 - Bungie.net releases Stats of there website. They are as Follows:
28,000,000 total page views (as of 6/7)
176,886 forum posts ( and only 3 moderators, yikes!)
37,000 daily unique visitors (on avg.)
24,300 new user accounts created (as of 6/7)
13 new Halo 2 screenshots
4 death threats
2 marriage proposals
1 complaint from Microsoft legal regarding image of a drunken Webmaster on our error page

July 3, 2004 - The First ever bungie Avatar Contest Inspired by Stosh ended and the winners were announced. Winner were listed here

July 7, 2004 - Bungie Day! WOOT!

August 16, 2004 - It was a sad day in Bungie Land as Zoe left Bungie Studios. She was a Contract Artist. But she left us with a gift before she left. Desert Brigade

September 7, 2004 - The old 7th column was shut down never to be seen again. Why? Because they had to prepare for the new one. that was updated and ready for millions of users.

September 16, 2004 - There's a new bungie store. This one looks allot better and will handle the users.

September 24, 2004 - The 7th column Chapters, I mean groups are up. This time they look amazing, and have allot of new features.

October 11, 2004 - We get a Bungie Weekly Update Video. Were we get to see Frankie bald head up close.

October 14, 2004 - Halo 2 Is illegally released onto the Internet. A sad day indeed.

November 5, 2004 - Stats feature is now available on bungie. Also the Last Halo 2 Update is here. And we get a frozen Mister Chief along with it

November 9, 2004 - Need I say more. The Worlds most Anticipated Game is released by Bungie Studios. Over 70,000 flock online to see the new Xbox Live Feature.

November 11, 2004 - The Bungie Weekly Whats Update is Here. This Time it bring you info on bungie and yes halo 2.

December 3, 2004 - Halo Makes the Walk of Game!


Yes This year is by far the best ive know of bungie.net. Let us thank bungie for all there hard work and creating this community we know and love.

Its been a good year. this is the best forum I've ever been on. Its hard for me to decide which part I liked more, the months before Halo2 (without the pirating) and speculating about it with all you guys, or Halo2 itself

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.
